Before heading home, we stopped at Susan and Card’s home. The bodyes west for the wedding and the barn closest to the house was set up for the recession

“Oh honey don’t cry, we still have so much to do”

in jeans”
I looked over at Colton and he shrugged his shoulders. Tike the idea of him in jeans. With a white button–up dress shirt and his favorite boots”
“UGH You two are perfect for each other” She said, throwing her hands up. “How about at least a vest and jacket?
“OK Ma, if that will make you happy, Colton said as he pulled me to him,
“What about you Marie…What about your dress?”
I went to the car and retrieved my bag. “Come, I will show you”
We walked to Colton’s room and closed the door behind us. I unzipped the bag and pulled out the long off white dress. It was simple and form fitting The back was almost completely open and the
front was lower cut.
“Oh Marie, where did you find this? It’s beautiful
“It’s a homecoming dress.” I said, laughing “I found it by chance.”
“Do you want to stay here the night before the wedding?”
“OK.“I knew it would make Susan happy and I liked the idea of having some girl time with her
We made our way back out to the guys to find Hunter and Saralynn had arrived.
“Tomorrow, after you get your license, we have to get dresses. I mean I assume I am in your wedding,” Saralynn said, smiling.
“You know it!”
The following day was filled and by late afternoon I was exhausted. I couldn’t believe I was getting

married in less than 24 hours.
I finished packing my overnight bag and Colton drove me to his parents‘ house. When we arrived,
we found Hunter, Saralynn, Clay, Emily, and Trent all standing outside.
“What’s going on?” Colton asked as we stepped out of the truck.
“Bachelor party.” Hunter said with a smile.
“I don’t need one of those,” Colton said.
“Too bad! We are taking Marie and you are going with the guys,” Saralynn said.
“Oh, I don’t really need one either. I would rather just relax tonight.”
“Nope, you both need your last night of freedom,” Hunter added.
“What if we all just go out together,” I suggested.
“No way!” Hunter said, shaking his head.
That was how I ended up getting dressed in one of Saralynn’s dresses that was way too short. We
headed to a country club just outside of town called the dusty armadillo.
It was crazy busy and Emily made me wear some ridiculous sash that said Bride. Within moments
of entering the bar, men started to buy us drinks and I had a feeling it was going to be a long night.
Colton’s POV
I was in no mood for a bachelor party. I honestly wanted to go with the girls just like Marie
suggested.
Instead, I am here in some strip club drinking a beer and wishing I was with Marie.
Hunter brought over another round of shots. Little did he know I hadn’t had one shot this entire
time. Just two beers. One of the bottles was empty for me to spit my shot back into.
“Dude, do you want me to get a lap dance?” Hunter asked.
“No.”
“Come on.”
“Listen, how would you feel if Saralynn was getting a lap dance right now?”
Hunter’s face turned pale. “You don’t think they are at a strip club, do you?”
“We are.”
“Sh*t.”
“What about you, Clay? How would you feel if Emily was allowing some man to dance on her?”

“They are at the Dusty, so we don’t have anything to worry about,” Clay said smugly.
True, nothing to worry about….three sexy women at a bar alone on a Friday night. I’m sure men are
not trying to hit on them or anything.”
I watched as my words sunk in and Trent stood up. Let’s go. I will drop you guys off to your girls.”
We walked into the Dusty and I found my very drunk, soon to be wife on the dance floor. I glanced at my watch and couldn’t help but laugh. It was only 10 and she was drunk.
I made my way right to her and wrapped my arms around her. She quickly turned around looking like she was about to slap my face until it registered it was me.
“Colton!” She said, wrapping her arms around me and jumping into my arms.
“Hey baby.”
“I am so happy to see you.” She said, kissing me.
“I couldn’t stop thinking about you baby.”
“Dance with me.” She said, pushing her body against mine. As much as I didn’t really want to dance, I couldn’t tell her no.
That was how we spent the next hour.
“Colton?”
“Yeah baby.”
