6 months later, I found myself sitting on our front porch waiting for Colton to get home. Hunter and Saralynn moved into an apartment together and Colton and I were enjoying our time alone.

I sat and thought about how much my life had changed over the past year and a half. The pain caused by both Luca and Jackson made me stronger.

I realized I deserved the best and I was thankful for my time with them, but more thankful for the strength I had when it came to Colton.

I was glad I forced him to deal with Abby and the breakup before we committed to each other. Some people thought we moved too quickly, but when you know it’s right, there is no reason to

wait.

I think back to dating Luca and after 2 years the thought of marriage made me want to run. But with Colton, I wanted to give him everything and he was my everything.

I couldn’t help but smile as his truck came to a stop next to my jeep and he jumped out and came walking toward me with a smile on his face.

“How is my beautiful wife?” He asked before kissing me.

“Better now that you are home.”

He wrapped his arm around my waist and walked me into the house.

“MMM it smells good in here. Did you make your pasta sauce?”

I couldn’t help but giggle and nod yes. “I know it’s your favorite.”

“I’m going to go jump in the shower.” He kissed me quickly and made his way upstairs.

I had just finished setting the table when he came back to the table.

“Looks like spring is here.” I said as we sat down at the table.

“I think you are right.”

“Things are going to be growing.”

He gave me a weird smile. “I guess you are right.”

“Including my belly.”

He slowly sat his fork down and looked at me. “Does that….does that mean..”

I slid the ultra–sound photo across the table.

“Three months pregnant.”

The pumped up and pulled me to him and kissed me

To all of the tests come back negative.”

The doctor sauti was the third woman today that said the same thing.”

Next time I am not buying a bunch of the same tests at the same time.”

I couldn’t help but laugh. After my first missed period, he ran to the pharmacy and purchased 6 of the same pregnancy test, Unfortunately, they were all the same brand because pregnancy tests are not a common need in a super small town i guess.

“You have made me the happiest man alive.”

“Should we call your parents?”

“Let’s just go visit. Hunter and Saralynn should be at Mom’s tonight.”

We made our way to Susan’s and Charlie’s house. Once inside, we found everybody sitting in the

As soon as we walked in Susan smiled and pulled me into a hug. “I didn’t know I was going to see both of my favorite girls tonight.”

“And your favorite son’s?” Hunter added,

“We are always here.” Issac said, laughing.

“Not that we don’t enjoy having you over, but it looks like you came over with something on your mind.” Charlie said, smiling at me.

I looked up at Colton. His face had the biggest smile I had ever seen.

“We are having a baby.” He almost shouted.
