Marie’s POV

I woke up in an unfamiliar room and it took me a few minutes to realize I was in Colton’s room at his parents‘ house.

I looked down and realized I was in Colton’s shirt. He must have changed me. I love that man. 1

crawled out of bed and put on a pair of shorts and made my way to the kitchen.

I found Charlie sitting drinking coffee and Susan making breakfast.

“How are you feeling?” Charlie asked, looking up from his coffee.

“Good.” I said, smiling and sitting next to him.

Susan sat a plate with pancakes and bacon in front of me and a cup of coffee.

“Colton said this is your favorite,” She said with a wink.

“Thank you.”

After breakfast, the girls arrived and we started getting ready.

“Are you nervous?” Emily asked as she pinned up my hair.

“No…which is weird, but I know I am marrying the right man.”

Before I knew it, it was time for me to walk down the isle. I stood inside Susan’s and Charlie’s house. The music started playing and my bridesmaids walked out the door.

“May I?”

I turned to see Charlie standing next to me.

“Really?” I asked, holding back the tears.

“I would be honored to give you away to my very lucky son.”

I could only nod as I slipped my arm in his and we stepped out of the house and towards m.

As soon as he saw me, he smiled. He looked amazing and I couldn’t believe he was mine.

The wedding was short and we made our way into the barn for the reception. It took all of two seconds for Bella to see Luca and scream as she ran into his arms.

“I’m glad to see you could make it.” I said, smiling up at Luca.

“You will always be important to me, Marie, and this is important to you.”

Chapter 52

I put my hand out towards Tori. “I don’t believe we were introduced last time. I am Marie and this is now my husband, Colton.”

“Hi, I’m Victoria but you can call me Tori.”

Luca placed Bella on the ground and she ran off to find Emily. He quickly put his arm around Tor’s

waist and smiled down at her.

“I was sort of a jerk that day, wasn’t I?”

She shyly nodded her head and he placed a kiss on her forehead,

“I’m glad to see you two are getting along,” Colton said.

“I got some great advice and I finally listened.” Luca said, winking at me.

We made our way around the reception thanking everybody for making it on such short notice. It was a small wedding but it was perfect.

As for my father, I did end up inviting him. Colton said it would be better for me to invite not regret

it later in life.

We made our way to my father and his family. His wife did not seem to be having fun, but Gabby was off having the time of her life with Issac and Evan.

“Marie, you look beautiful.”

“Thank you Steve.”

“May I ask who walked you down the isle?”

“That is the only father figure I have ever had in my life and now–legally, I am his daughter–in–law.”

“I’m glad you have somebody like that in your life.”

“Me too.” I said, looking over at Susan and Charlie dancing and smiling.

I met Charlie by chance or maybe it was fate, but I started that day thinking I had just lost everything only to find a real family.

A few hours later, Susan and Charlie walked up to us smiling. “We have a surprise for you two.”

She said giggling.

They walked us out of the reception to a limo.

“The driver will take you to a hotel and the room is already paid for under Colton Allen. We had Hunter pack a few things for Colton and Saralynn handled your stuff, Marie.” She said, still beaming.

“Tomorrow Issac and Evan will pick you up.” Charlie said, kissing me on the cheek.
