Emma stared at Silas, worry clouding her eyes. “I can’t shake the feeling that you’re about to do something dangerous.”

“Don’t worry. It’s nothing dangerous,” Sitas reassured.

Marcus walked over. Seeing Emma sigh while looking in the direction Silas had gone, he asked, “Are you worried about Silas, Ms. Tibarn?”

“Yeah.” Emma nodded. “He left so abruptly. I can’t help worrying that he might run into danger again.”

He secretly thought, That guy’s more cunning than a fox. The chances of him running into trouble are slim. In fact, he’s more likely to be a danger to others than to be in danger himself.

Emma felt her anxiety easing slightly as she watched Marcus disappear into the distance.

Knowing that Marcus was following Silas, she could finally relax.

After seeing the two men off, she turned around to see Edric walking toward her with a carefully selected set of clothes in his hands.

“Look, Emy!” Edric showed her the clothes. Each piece had a distinct style–beautiful, yet built for ease of movement.

“I just looked up D–2. There’s a Celestara Gala happening tonight,” he prattled excitedly as they headed back to the bedroom. “There’ll be parade floats in the streets, a specialty market, and even a fireworks display. Plus, there’s an auction being held at an underground auction house…”

He urged, “Hurry and change. Let’s enjoy the festivities together!”

It was no secret that Emma loved a lively scene. With an event this large, she would definitely want to check things out.

“That sounds really fun!”

By the time Emma finished changing, everyone else had gotten ready too. She was surprised to see Alaric joining them.

He was dressed in a white casual shirt paired with light–colored pants. With that handsome face, he was bound to steal the spotlight anywhere he went.

The group soon disembarked the starrail and boarded an airship that brought them toward the bustling city center of D–2.

The airship quickly found a spot at a public docking port in the city center.
