The moment Silas heard it was Kieran, he nodded like everything suddenly made sense.

He looked groggy, and her voice was full of warmth.

Remy curled up in her arms and shut his eyes.

“Mommy, I’ll behave this time. I won’t sneak off.”

Emma smiled and kissed his forehead.

Then she pulled out two beast cores and gently pressed them into his little hands so he could absorb the energy.

A while later, Malrik and Edric wrapped up breakfast.

Remy had finished absorbing, but he still was not ready to eat, so he sat quietly on the couch and played with himself. Two elder males from the Crescent Vine clan who’d come downstairs earlier stayed behind to keep an eye on him.

Emma headed to the dining table first.

When Kieran sat down, Calum, Edric, and Malrik were all staring at him.

Corvin glanced between the three of them, confused.

“Aren’t you guys hungry? Why’re you staring at Kieran like that instead of eating?”

Malrik blinked, then dropped a piece of exotic beast meat onto Corvin’s plate.

“Just admiring Kieran’s outfit. He looks good today. Now eat.”

Corvin finally turned to look. That was when he noticed Kieran and Emma were wearing matching clothes.

His eyes flew wide.

Where did Kieran even get that? The fit looked flawless.

He shot Kieran a look and asked, “Where’d you and Emma get those matching outfits? I want one too!”

He wanted to match with Emma as well.

Everyone else said nothing.

Kieran smiled. “Handmade. Merfolk Silk. You can’t buy it anywhere.”

Corvin stared at him with envy.

“You make clothes?”

Did not see that one coming.

Kieran nodded. “A little.”

Corvin lit up. “Could you make me two sets too? I want to match Emma! I’ll trade you beast cores, gear, even my mech cruiser if you want! Whatever you need!

“If I’ve got it, it’s yours.”

Kieran looked over at Emma, who was calmly eating her food, then smiled. “We’re family. Don’t make it a big deal. If you want some, I’ll make you a few sets when I get the chance.”

“Kieran, you’re the best!”

If he were not in the middle of breakfast, Corvin would have tackled him in a hug

Marcus wandered in, half–awake, and caught the tail end of the conversation. He looked at Kieran and deadpanned.

“Count me in. Whatever you want for it, just say the word.”

“Marcus, you’re up!” Corvin grinned. “I thought you were skipping breakfast today.”

He had tried waking Marcus earlier, but the guy had been knocked out cold.
