Chapter 634 Wishing You A Safe Journey
The Central Planet plunged into darkness.
“What’s going on?”
Emma immediately turned, searching for Lucien and the others.
“Lucien-”
But when she looked around, all she sensed were unfamiliar presences. Lucien was gone.
Aria and Laura were gone, too.
She’d been so focused on absorbing the divine light that she hadn’t noticed the crowd pushing her away from them.
Well, at least she was now level ten–just a breath away from level eleven. Her vision had sharpened significantly.
Even in near–total darkness, she could clearly see her surroundings.
Emma activated the tracker on her wrist.
Corvin had designed them. Everyone was wearing one specifically in case something like this happened tonight.
But when the tracker powered on-
Nothing.
No signal.
She immediately switched to her lightcore.
Also dead.
“Is this your first time experiencing this?”
A female beside her noticed her frown and smiled gently.

“Don’t worry. The blessing light disrupts the Central Planet’s magnetic field. Nothing works during this phase. It’ll be dark for a few minutes, then everything resets.”
She shrugged lightly. “You got separated from your mates, too, didn’t you? I did. I’m just waiting for mine to come find me.”
Emma exhaled in relief. “I see. Thank you. I’ll wait here too.”
As soon as she finished speaking-
The sky lit up again.
Transparent flower petals glowing in seven colors drifted down like stardust.
“Oh my god–it’s the Beast God Flowers!”

“The Beast God scattered the flowers this year!”
The Beast God Flower.
A holy medicine that no one would willingly miss.
In an instant, the crowd surged forward, everyone scrambling to grab the falling petals.
Emma was swept along by the tide of bodies, unable to control her movement.

By the time the second wave of divine light faded, she was clutching a handful of Beast God Flowers-
And had absolutely no idea where she was.
Her lightcore and tracker still showed nothing.
The streets remained dark, but it didn’t hinder a therian’s vision. Everyone could still see clearly.
No one panicked. This phenomenon happened every year.
The only issue was too many people.
Emma was carried forward again and again.
And then-
Thud.
She walked straight into something solid.
A very solid something.
“Oh, I’m so sorry!”
She didn’t know if the other person felt it.
But her forehead definitely did.
Rubbing the sore spot, she apologized before even looking up.
It was her fault. Intentional or not.
“Are you okay?” Drake’s voice came low and warm, laced with concern. “Did you hurt yourself?”
“Drake?” Emma immediately looked up. “What are you doing here?”
Drake slid an arm around her protectively.

“I came back today. The castle staff said you were at the Celestara Gala, so I followed. I saw you get separated from Lucien and the others.”
He guided her into a quieter alleyway away from the crowd.
“I couldn’t see where they went. Let’s wait here. The signal should be restored soon. They’ll find you quickly.”

Emma nodded.
“Yeah. Let’s stay here.”
At least here she wouldn’t keep getting pushed around.
Once the systems came back online, Lucien and the others would track her immediately.
She studied Drake carefully. “Drake… you’ve recovered, haven’t you?”
She’d suspected it for days.
There were moments–brief flashes–where she saw the old him. The version of him before his mental power had fractured.
Drake didn’t want to admit it.
If he didn’t admit it, he could stay by her side a little longer.
But he wouldn’t lie to her.
And he wouldn’t degrade himself by pretending weakness.
“Yes.” He nodded. “Thank you for taking care of me during that time.”
Emma smiled lightly.
“The Drakonid compensated me. Helping you was only fair.”
“Emma.” He looked at her seriously.
“Yeah?” She searched his face. “You’re going back to the Aquadome, aren’t you?”
If he’d fully recovered, there was no reason for him to stay.
“Yes.” He nodded again. “Before I leave, I wanted to say goodbye.”
Goodbye? In the past, Drake would’ve scoffed at the idea.
The word didn’t exist in his life.
He never said farewell.
He never needed to.
“When are you leaving?” she asked quietly.
“Tonight.”
That soon?
Emma paused, then nodded. “Then… I wish you a safe journey.”
Suddenly, Drake grabbed her hand and gently pressed her back against the wall.

His jaw tightened. “This time, I don’t know when I’ll be able to come back after I return to Aquadome this time.”
