Chapter 660 She’s Waiting
“Let’s head back. Emma’s waiting for us.”
In the greenhouse, Emma watched them return and moved right over, worry in her eyes as she looked at Kieran.
“Kieran, are you alright? Are you dehydrated?”
Dehydrated?
Kieran pressed his fingers to his forehead, frustration flickering across his face.
“Emma, I’m fine. Stop worrying. I’m not about to dry up.”
Merfolk couldn’t leave water for long, but that only mattered for the weaker ones.
He could stay out for two years and feel nothing.
“That’s good.”
Emma saw that Kieran looked healthy and relaxed, which helped her calm down.
Still, she slipped a Beast God’s fruit into his hand just in case.
“If you feel bad, eat this.”
This fruit was supposed to work miracles.
Kieran tucked the Beast God’s fruit away with a small smile.
He leaned in and whispered in Emma’s ear.
“If I start feeling bad, a fruit isn’t enough. I’ll need you to comfort me, too.
“Emma, last night didn’t work out, so tonight, whatever happens, you can’t ditch me again.”
Emma never meant to leave him behind in the first place.
“Last night was special circumstances.”
She gave Kieran a warm smile, then changed the topic.
“Did
you
work things out with Alaric?”
Tonight was supposed to be Alaric’s turn, unless he’d let Kieran have the evening.
Kieran nodded, smiling wider.
“Of course. If I hadn’t, I wouldn’t be saying this.”
He took Emma’s hand, his eyes full of tenderness.
“Tonight, you’ll only have eyes for me.”

Chapter 660 She’s Waiting
Emma could tell he was trouble with one look.
She narrowed her eyes, curious. “How’d you talk Alaric into giving up tonight?”
“Want to know?”
Kieran arched a brow and tapped her forehead with a grin.
“Guess.”
Emma stared at him, exasperated.
Was he always this cryptic?
He always made her guess.
She glared at him.
“Forget it. I’ll ask Alaric myself.”
Alaric would tell her.
Right then, Corvin arrived, arms loaded with rare fruits and herbs.
“Emma, the food here in Ravaryn isn’t anything special. I’m cooking today. I’ll use all this and make you a feast.”
Kieran pulled out a few live sea fish and handed them to Corvin.
“You can’t just eat fruit and herbs. Cook more fish, too.”
“I’ll get Edric to help.”
Corvin knew Edric’s fish tasted better than his.
At lunchtime, Corvin and Edric filled the table with food.
Kelly caught a whiff and nearly started drooling.
“Oh my, I never thought Corvin was so capable. He made so many dishes.”
Corvin had taught the family how to cook a few times before.
He’d even shown them how to whip up desserts.
Kelly thought she’d been eating well, but this was something else.
Corvin sat next to Edric and grinned.
“I made the fruit and beast meat dishes. Edric did the fish. His is way better than mine.”
Kelly grabbed a piece of fish right away.
She tasted it and kept nodding.

Chapter 660 She’s Waiting
“This is amazing. It’s the best fish I’ve had.”
She smiled at Emma.
“Emma, your mate’s really something.”
Emma smiled back.
“I think they both are.”
After lunch, Kelly told Corvin to show Emma around.
Ravaryn was huge.
Emma barely got to visit, so Kelly wanted her to see everything and fall in love with the place.
She hoped Emma would come by often.
Spending the morning together made Kelly like Emma even more.
Corvin didn’t really want to take Emma out.
His cousins were outside, just waiting for Emma to walk by so they could “run into her” and charm her.
But Corvin didn’t want Emma stuck on his parents‘ floating island the whole trip.
The greenhouse was the only thing there.
“Emma, let’s get out. I’ll show you
around.”
Corvin grabbed Emma’s hand and led her off.
On the way, he shot Marcus a look.
If his cousins showed up, Marcus didn’t need to say a word–just knock them out of the way.
Or freeze their mouths shut.
Either way worked.
Marcus didn’t even look up at Corvin.
He looked distracted, head down, lifeless.
Corvin frowned at him.
Once they left Kelly’s floating island, Emma stepped off the floating bridge and spotted Dreyfus.
Dreyfus was with Gaellard–the same Gaellard from that morning.
“What a coincidence.”
Dreyfus came up with Gaellard, smiling. “Ms. Emma Tibarn, are you and your mate planning to see Ravaryn today?”
