Chapter 663 Dissuasion
“You’d all better forget about her and get out of here.”
Rollof let out a heavy sigh, regret and jealousy thick in his voice as he watched Corvin.
“Why can’t I have Corvin’s luck? Where’s my female who spoils me like that?”
He couldn’t wrap his head around how Corvin managed to make all those top–ranked males in his family listen to him.
Corvin was absolutely adored by his female.
Gaellard watched as Emma disappeared into the distance.
He stroked his smooth chin with slow, thoughtful fingers.
Every single person showered this low–ranked beast with attention, and Emma let Corvin get away with anything.
That kind of family warmth would make any therian envious.
He finally understood why Kieran would choose to hide his real power and play the victim just to get close to Emma.
Alaric was the same, always calculating, never taking action unless it paid off.
And then there was Silas, the one who had once refused the Beast God’s offer.
Once everyone left, the place fell silent.
Marcus, Malrik, and Edric stared at Corvin with looks sharp enough to cut through stone.
“Corvin, you really enjoyed being the star just now. Was it fun using us?”
Corvin scratched at his head, sheepish.
“Thanks for backing me up, guys. I owe you big.”
He flashed them a grateful smile.
“We’re brothers. If you need anything from me, just say the word.”
Corvin patted his own chest to seal the promise.
“I’ll always have your back.”
Marcus leaned against a rock and sounded tired.
“You don’t need to go that far for us. If you ever need muscle, call Malrik and Edric. Leave me out.”
He didn’t trust himself not to overdo it.
Edric added his own thoughts.

“I’m not even Rank 11 yet. I might not be able to handle some of those guys. Better stick with Malrik.”
Corvin turned hopeful eyes to Malrik.
Malrik stepped up and slapped Corvin’s shoulder.
“No problem. I’ll charm any guy you need. I’ll have him eating out of your hand.”
Corvin’s jaw nearly hit the floor.
Inside the Executive Department, Silas worked on his schedule when his assistant announced a visitor.
Faustus.
“Why’s he here?”
Silas frowned, thinking the last case should have been wrapped up already.
“Let him in.”
He closed his work and waited.
“Yes, sir.”
The assistant left.
Less than a minute later, Faustus entered Silas‘ office.
He took in the understated space and smiled.
“Your office still looks just like your old one at the military. Silas, you’re a magistrate now.”
“So what?”
Silas waved for someone to bring him coffee.
“Just because I’m a top official doesn’t mean I have to show off.”
Faustus grinned.
“If you keep such a low profile, how are the old guys supposed to bribe you?”
Silas had no patience for chit–chat.
He cut to the chase.
“So, what’s so urgent?”
He knew this wasn’t a random drop–in. The ISA was a busy department.
“You always know me too well.”

Faustus didn’t waste time.
He opened his lightcore and sent Silas a file, face turning serious.
“Silas, you owe me for all the years we’ve known each other. You have to help me this time.”
“Gaellard?”
Silas read the file, and his frown deepened.
What was that therian doing on Central Planet?
He looked up sharply.
“You’re sure it’s the Empire’s most wanted, the top intergalactic pirate? You have proof?
“I thought that pirate stayed outside the system, near Beast God Mountain. Why would he show up here?”
Faustus gave his answer without hesitation.
“My intel is solid. Gaellard is the top intergalactic pirate. I just got confirmation on his real name. I know he’s already here on Central Planet.”
Frustration lined his face.
He wouldn’t have come otherwise.
“Silas, you have to help me find Gaellard. If you can’t kill him, at least force him off Central Planet. He’s infamous. If word gets out he’s here, everyone will panic.”
Gaellard’s reputation was horrifying.
Rumors said he killed anyone who learned his identity.
Outside the system and near Beast God Mountain, no traveler escaped him.
He was brutal.
Some said he’d saved lives, but his body count dwarfed that.
He was chaos in the flesh.
Someone that dangerous had no place on Central Planet.
“Not happening.”
Silas shut down his lightcore and gave the visitor a blank, innocent look.
