Chapter 672 Making Out
“You need to do something to make it up to me.”
“Alright, I’ll make it up to you.”
Emma nodded fast, certain that he deserved it. “How do you want me to make it up to you?”
She looked right at Marcus as she asked the question.

Marcus went quiet for a moment before he spoke. “You made a wooden figure for Silas last time. You said you’d make one for all of us. I still haven’t gotten mine.”
He pulled Emma close by the waist. “I want you to finish it and give it to me soon.”
She really had promised everyone a handmade wooden figure.
After coming home, one thing after another kept her busy, so he still hadn’t made the gifts.
Emma took one look at Marcus‘ terrible haircut and nodded with no hesitation. “Absolutely! I’ll pick out the best wood the moment we’re back at the castle and carve yours.”
Marcus saw her agree, and a quick smile flashed in his eyes. He leaned in and pressed his forehead to Emma’s. “I’ll be waiting for your present.”
Somewhere else, Corvin spotted Edric and Kieran leaving the lounge right after him. He grabbed both and lowered his voice. “Emma butchered Marcus‘ hair. Marcus must be miserable. Do you have any ideas how to cheer him up?”
Edric stared at him.
Did Marcus really need them to cheer him up?
Kieran looked puzzled.
Did Corvin really not know Marcus?
That wolf didn’t fear anything. Would he really lose sleep over a haircut?
Kieran shook his head. “I don’t know how to cheer people up”
Edric said, “I think Emma’s the only one who could do it.”
Nothing they said would matter as much as Emma’s words.
“But Emma’s the one who did that to his hair”
Corvin looked worried, as if Emma wouldn’t be able to fix things with Marcus. If his own hair looked like that, he’d sulk for an entire day.
If his female started to ignore him, he’d probably go two days without eating

“What if Emma can’t cheer Marcus up?”
Corvin didn’t want to leave it all up to Emma, so they needed to come up with something too.
He quickly opened up his lightcore device.
He started a new group chat, making sure Marcus and Emma weren’t added, and named it “Bad Haircut Marcus Cheer–Up Group“.
Alaric was in the middle of giving Drake his medication when he noticed the new group on his lightcore.
He frowned and looked confused.
Bad haircut Marcus?
Who did that to Marcus?
How could Marcus get a bad haircut?
What kind of person could give a Rank 12 like Marcus a bad haircut?
Before Alaric could ask, Calum already sent a message. He asked, “Corvin, can you stop with all these group chats. I can barely tell which one is which anymore.”
He worried he’d send something to the wrong group one of these days.

Corvin answered, “The group chat isn’t the problem right now. Calum, focus.”
Calum asked, “Focus on what?
“Marcus got a bad haircut?”
Calum sat in the conference room, feeling completely lost.
Was this really urgent?
So what if it was a bad haircut?
It wasn’t like he got mauled.
And if he did, Alaric could deal with it.
Alaric asked, “I’m just curious, who gave him a bad haircut?”
Drake finished his medicine, then tapped out a message on his lightcore.
Drake added, “I feel bad for the barber. Marcus would tear them apart. That barber’s probably in worse shape than Marcus”
Lucien added, “Any barber that can mess up Marcus‘ hair must be brilliant at offense and defense. Kieran should bring them here. Would make a great guard.”
Silas: “If we had a few more of those, the castle would be a fortress.”
Corvin was speechless.

Did any of these people read the group name?

Corvin asked, “Did anyone see the name of the group? This chat is supposed to be for ideas to cheer up Marcus, not discuss barbers.”
Barbers?
That didn’t happen.
Corvin felt like his head was spinning.
“Why are we cheering up Marcus?” asked Calum. “It’s just a bad haircut. What’s the big deal?”
Calum added, “He’s a grown male, not a pup. Why would he need any cheering up over a haircut?”
Calum asked, “Or did the barber cut his dick off?”

Alaric added, “That’d be one mean barber.”
Drake added, “That barber sounds crazy.”
Lucien added, “A barber tougher than a Rank 12?”
Silas added, “That barber’s got some bite.”
Edric and Kieran stared at their lightcore screens in silence.
They weren’t about to say a word.
Malrik barely moved, pretending to be invisible.

Everyone just wanted to see how much this story would spiral out of control.
Corvin stared at the messages, almost losing his mind.
How did something so simple get so messy?
What were they even imagining?
It started with Marcus‘ hair, but now they made it sound like his whole body was involved.
Alaric asked, “I want to know how the bad haircut happened.”
Drake added, “Send a picture. I want to see what Marcus looks like right now.”
Lucien requested, “I want to know the barber.”
