He lifted his head, eyes following the direction Jim and Andre had left. The corner of his mouth curled into a deeper, sharper smile, dripping with mockery and calculation.

“Go ahead, hit as hard as you can…” He said it slowly, deliberately, then pulled his gaze back, letting it settle on Emma’s face again.

Clarence reached out, his fingers tracing along the delicate contours of her cheek with a lazy, almost flirtatious casualness. The touch was intimate but carried a spine–chilling possessiveness.

“If those two idiots knew that they were tearing each other apart while handing you straight into my hands… their expressions would be priceless.” He chuckled low, a sound thick with dark charm and obsession. His eyes were glinting with a feverish delight.

“Sleep now, little Emma.” The words barely left his lips when the space around him seemed to ripple, like water disturbed by some unseen force.
