“Gaellard, if I were you, I would bury myself in a hole instead of standing here and being an eyesore.”
After spending so much time with Marcus, Kieran’s tongue had also become sharper.
Gaellard had originally intended to exchange a few polite words with Kieran. However, when he heard those words, his face instantly darkened.

Since Kieran had already spoken so bluntly, Gaellard couldn’t be bothered to keep up with the formalities
anymore.
They were all seasoned players–everyone knew each other’s true nature.
Then, Gaellard let out a cold laugh and said, “You let that kind of trash in, so why not me? Kieran, no matter how you look at it, I’m better–looking than that guy, and more useful too. What right do you have to look down on me?
“We’re cut from the same cloth. Do you think you are any better than I? Who doesn’t know how many underhanded tricks you used back then just to climb into Emma’s bed?“.
Then, he stepped forward and continued, “You’re just better at pretending. You met Emma earlier than I did, so you got the chance to stay by her side. What’s there to be proud of?” As he spoke, he mimicked Jim from earlier as he gave Kieran a disdainful look.
“Don’t think that I don’t have a chance just because you are in my way now. As long as there is time, I’ll stay right here. I bet Emma will come out eventually!”
Kieran laughed out of anger.
“Fine.” He nodded with a cold glint in his eyes. “You can stay here and wait then. If I ever let you get a chance to approach Emma, I will kill myself.”
Hearing his words, Gaellard was speechless. D*mn it. Every single one of them is so ruthless.
Kieran returned to the castle.
Instead of going back to the perfumery workshop, he walked through the corridor and headed straight to the garden.
The moment he stepped through the garden archway, the scene before him made him pause, and the corner of his mouth couldn’t help but twitch.
Jim, who had run off just moments ago, was now crouched among the flowers as he helped Emma pick
them.
That b*stard, Kieran cursed inwardly. He is usually as silent as a clam, but he refuses to lose out to anyone when it comes to getting close to Emma. Clearly, he has plenty of schemes too.

Walking closer, he glanced at Marcus and Jim, who were picking flowers, and his lips twitched again.
In front of clusters of rare exotic plants, Marcus still lazily leaned against a nearby tree as he held the flower basket and moved at a snail’s pace. His finger pointed at one flower before going back at Jim, who was beside him.
Jim crouched there and carefully cut the flower stems using his abilities with a blank expression.
One of them was unbelievably lazy, while the other was unbearably silent. Together, they were picking flowers as if they were embroidering–taking forever, with barely any flowers added to the basket.
Emma sat in a pavilion not far away as she rested her chin on one hand while watching the two of them “slack off” with boredom.
As a Rank 11 elite, her body was as tough as the armor of a warship. Let alone a few thorns–if these exotic plants suddenly came alive and bit her, it would be their teeth that broke.
However, Marcus and Jim decided that such rough work wasn’t suitable for her and had firmly planted her in the pavilion, refusing to let her move.
Watching their snail–like speed, she wanted to insist several times that she did the work. However, seeing Marcus‘ warning expression and Jim’s aggrieved look, she sighed and picked up her teacup again.
