Chapter 827 Crying All Night
If the cubs were all like Lucien’s children, none of them would ever want one.
It was too terrifying.
Meanwhile, Drake, Kieran, and Jim were not having an easy time either.

Although they weren’t holding the cubs or using their abilities to soothe them, they had to keep moving around the room and tidying things up. The moment anyone tried to leave or even pause for a second, the two little monsters would start crying.
Drake and Jim originally wanted to take over for Kieran and Marcus so they could rest for a while.
But the cubs simply wouldn’t accept it. The moment the person changed, they cried.
They wouldn’t let them rest, but also wouldn’t let them leave. The cubs were impossible to reason with, and no one dared to hit them in case they got hurt.
They were stumped for solutions.
The next day, morning sunlight slipped through the gaps in the curtains and spilled into the room.
Emma opened her eyes and stretched lazily on the bed, feeling completely refreshed and free of fatigue.
She looked at Malrik beside her and kissed him on the face.
‘Malrik, did you get up in the middle of the night last night?”
She vaguely remembered him getting up at some point during the night, but she had been too sleepy to open her eyes.
‘Yeah.” Malrik smiled and nodded. “I got up to use the bathroom.”
He kissed her lightly on the forehead. “Emma, do you want to get up? Or would you like to sleep in?”
‘Let’s get up,” Emma said. She wanted to go check on the cubs.
t was the first time Lucien and the others were taking care of infants, and she wondered how they were doing.
‘Alright.” Malrik sat up and took out the clothes he had prepared for her.
After getting dressed and washing up, Emma quickly went downstairs.
As soon as she reached the dining area, a rich and tempting aroma of food hit her. The smell alone told her it was Edric’s cooking.
Emma’s lips curved slightly, and she changed direction, heading quickly toward the kitchen. Unlike usual, the kitchen was not busy this morning.
Only Edric was there.
He wore a dark apron and stood with his back to the door, skillfully plating some freshly grilled bacon.

Hearing footsteps, Edric turned around.
The moment he saw Emma, warmth immediately filled his usually cold eyes, and his voice softened. “You’re awake, Emma. Why didn’t you sleep in?”
Emma walked over with a smile, her gaze sweeping across the empty kitchen and dining area, then asked with some confusion, “Why is it only you this morning?”
Normally, there would be two or three people preparing breakfast together.
Edric turned off the heat and looked at Emma with a faint smile.
“Marcus, Kieran, and Lucien stayed up the entire night comforting the babies. They only managed to rest after dawn.”
“Alaric and Kieran were supposed to make breakfast with me, but I saw how exhausted they were, so I sent them to rest instead.”
“I was with Remy last night and wasn’t disturbed, so I just came to make breakfast.”
Emma had just pulled out a chair to sit when she suddenly froze, staring at Edric in shock.
“You mean they cried all night? The babies were acting up last night?”
She hadn’t heard a single sound the entire night.
Edric nodded.
“They were up the whole night. Those guys pulled an all–nighter with them.”
He knew Emma didn’t like being kept in the dark, so he told her everything.
“I didn’t hear anything at all. Was I completely knocked out?” Emma frowned with a hint of guilt. “Why didn’t you wake me up? I could’ve helped too. I do have some experience.”
Edric quickly explained, “We didn’t want to disturb your rest. Taking care of cubs is the responsibility of the males.”
They would never hide anything from Emma, but they also had to protect her well–being. Even if it meant exhausting themselves, they would not let her suffer through it.
To ease her worry, Edric added, “The babies didn’t cry for that long. Marcus and Kieran used their abilities, and they were soothed pretty quickly.”
“They’re sleeping now. Very well–behaved.”
Still, Emma wasn’t fully reassured.
“I’ll go take a look, then come back for breakfast.”
She quickly left the kitchen and headed toward the cubs.
