“Just saying you’re sorry isn’t gonna make the lesson stick,” she said.

The relief Corvin had just felt vanished again instantly. He looked at her cautiously. “Th–Then how are you gonna punish me? As long as you don’t post that bunny video, I’ll do anything.”
Emma lightly waved the lightcore in her hand and pointed at the group chat that still hadn’t been disbanded. “Since you love making group chats so much, and love discussing Jim and me in there, then that group stays.”
He blinked. “Huh? You’re not deleting it?”
She nodded, a sly glint flashing through her eyes. “Not only are you not deleting it, but you’re also adding Silas back into the group. And right now, you’re changing the group name for me.”
A bad feeling immediately crept up his spine. “Ch–Change it to what?”
Emma smiled faintly and enunciated every word. “Change it to ‘Corvin Fully Responsible for Jim’s Bonding Prep Team”
Corvin stared at her in complete confusion.
Seeing the blank look on his face, Emma continued in satisfaction, “Didn’t you complain that Jim’s lazy? Weren’t you worried he doesn’t know anything and won’t do anything? Since you’re apparently so thoughtful and sincere about this, fine. You can be the one to teach him. And you’d better make sure I’m satisfied, or I’ll upload your dancing video onto lightcore’s social platform for everyone to see.”
The color drained from his face.
I can agree to teaching Jim, but making Emma satisfied? That’s the impossible part. What if I teach him and he screws it up? What if she’s still unhappy? And this kind of thing is one thing when we’re just reading guides, but actually sitting face–to–face with another male and talking about it? Dude, that’s embarrassing as hell.
“Emma, can’t you punish me some other way?” Corvin asked with a troubled expression.
Emma shook her head. “Nope. This is the punishment.”
Looking at the absolutely uncompromising look in her eyes, he forced out a
uglier than crying. “Fine. I agree.”
Like I even have a choice. That’s a social platform we’re talking about! If that video of me shaking my ass in a pink bunny outfit gets seen by every therian across the entire Interstellar, my life is over. I’d never be able to go out in public again. At that point, I’d want just to disappear and never show up again, or move to another Interstellar and never come back.
Right in front of her, he opened his lightcore and quickly changed the group name to what she wanted.
Then he showed her the screen. “Emma, it’s changed.”
Emma glanced at it and nodded in satisfaction.
“Now that the group name’s done, go do what you’re supposed another glance.
What next? Am I seriously supposed to teach Jim step by step?

Who even is Jim? He barely says a d’mn word on a normal day. And now I’m supposed to sit there with those questionable guides and explain bonding to him face–to–face? Just picturing it already makes me want to flee the Empire altogether.
Watching Emma leave, Corvin pulled up his lightcore again.
I’ll push teaching Jim a bit later. I should just do what she asked and pull Silas back into the group first.
He quickly tried adding Silas back into the group again, but a system message popped up: “Invitation failed. The other party refused to join the group chat.”
He stared at the red text, and his eye twitched hard.
Silas actually refused? He really has no loyalty. I haven’t even settled the video account with him yet. Back then, he swore up and down that Emma had already deleted it.
“Emma!” Corvin pressed his lips together and hurried after Emma, who had not gone far.
“Emma, look, Silas won’t join…” He lifted his lightcore as if reporting a crime.
Emma did not even lift her eyes. She said flatly, “That’s your problem. I only care about results. One less person in the group, and I send a video. Two less and I send the full set.”
He was instantly speechless.
Ugh… Emma doesn’t love me anymore. This is brutal. She’s basically pushing me straight into a dead end.
“I’ll go talk to him. I’m going right now!” He panicked that she might accidentally hit send on that video, and sprinted straight toward Silas‘ room.
He had already stopped thinking about breakfast, since Edric and Alaric had gone to the kitchen earlier, and that was more than enough with the two of them there.
Corvin stopped in front of Silas‘ door and looked at it slightly ajar.
He was about to push it open when Emma’s words about him not learning anything flashed in his mind.
His hand froze midair, then he forced it to change direction.
No, this time I have to remember. What if Silas is doing something private in there, or something he wouldn’t want anyone seeing? If! just barge in like this, he’s definitely going to feel awkward. Learn from experience.
Corvin took a deep breath, straightened up, and politely knocked three times on the door.
Knock knock knock.
“Silas, it’s me, Corvin.” He tried to keep his voice from sounding too irritated, even though he felt like he was burning up inside.
