“Silas, Andre and I never bonded with Emma, so this whole rivalry thing has nothing to do with us. But you are different. You are her first mate. Lucien is pulling little stunts like this right under your nose just to one-up you. Isn’t he basically making a fool of you right to your face?” Gaellard looked downright indignant, as if he were genuinely standing up for Silas.
“If I were you, I’d make sure Lucien stayed in the castle with the cub tonight. Then I’d have Emma all to myself and enjoy some quality time with her,” he continued.
Silas glanced at Gaellard as if he were an idiot and said nothing.
Gaellard was instantly speechless. When Silas didn’t even bother to respond, he let out a disappointed sigh inwardly.
These two are impossible. One is way too smart and knows I’m just trying to stir things up, so he won’t take the bait. And the other
one… ne’s so d”mn cold that he can’t even be bothered to entertain me.
Seriously, watching the drama unfold is harder than it looks. If only Corvin were here. Sure, he’s a little dumb, but at least I could actually have some fun with him.
He looked at Emma and Aria up ahead.
The two had already walked some distance ahead, and Aria was enthusiastically pointing out all sorts of things around the place to
Emma.
Emma nodded from time to time, and there was no way she could hide how much she liked it.
Gaellard thought about it for a moment, but in the end, he still couldn’t resist asking, “What do you guys think? Lucien went out of his way to have Aria bring Emma here and surprise her like this. How do you think he’s going to make his entrance later?”
Silas kept his eyes on the lightcore and didn’t bother responding.
Andre glanced at Gaellard before turning his attention back to Emma, who had already walked farther ahead.
Gaellard was instantly speechless.
Fine, fine. You two are really going to ignore me? Whatever. I’ll find someone else to talk to.
He opened Lightcore, pulled up his chat with Corvin, snapped a picture, and sent it to him.
After sending the picture, Gaellard said, “Corvin, you’re seriously missing the point. Look at the lengths Lucien is going to just to steal some attention.”
The moment Corvin saw the picture, his eyes went wide. “Where is this? It’s gorgeous!”
Gaellard was instantly speechless.
How the hell did this male even grow up?
“Do you ever know what the actual point is? Do you really think I sent you this so you could tell me how pretty the place is?” he asked.
Isn’t the point supposed to be how Lucien is trying to steal some attention?

“So What am I supposed to look at? Lucien has always been full of tricks. Isn’t it totally normal for him to know how to win some attention? This place really is beautiful, though I think Ravaryn has an independent space too,” Corvin said.
But I’ve never been to Ravaryn’s independent space, and I don’t even know where it is. Lusien just gave me an idea. I’m going to call Father right now and ask him where Ravaryn’s independent space is. I wonder if it’s as beautiful inside as Aurelia’s. If it’s just as beautiful as Aurelia’s independent space, I’ll take Emma there too.
He immediately searched through his chats for Falanx. Just then, the Lightcore screen scrolled past the family group chat, where he saw the earlier conversation about their bet over who would be the one to spend the evening with Emma.
Corvin immediately opened the group chat and dropped in the photo Gaellard had sent him. “I’m betting on Lucien. I’ve got proof.”
The moment everyone in the group saw the photo, they flooded the chat.
“Well, looks like this poor fox is out of luck tonight…” Alaric said.
“Well, looks like this poor merfolk is out of luck too…” Kieran continued.
“I’d heard Aurelia had an independent space. Now I’m finally seeing it for myself. It’s even prettier than I imagined,” Edric responded.
“How come I wasn’t born in Aurelia? Why did I have to end up in Argenclaw?” Calum asked.
Argenclaw’s independent spaces are packed with weapons and food. There’s nothing romantic about them like there is in Aurelia.
“I think a place this romantic is missing one cute little creature,” Malrik responded.
“Emma once said that a dragon and a phoenix make the perfect pair, so I think Aurelia’s independent space is still missing a dragon,” Drake suggested.
“It’s too bright,” Jim said.
“Oh my God, Jim actually sent a text,” Corvin exclaimed.
Everyone in the group immediately went silent.
“Aurelia’s independent space is full of Phoenix Trueflame. It’s like they’re about to roast the Phoenixes alive. I’ll go cool things down for them,” Marcus offered.
“I think Marcus is onto something. Starhaven has these gorgeous butterflies, and I happen to have plenty of them. I’ll toss some in for free,” Alaric volunteered.
“With Starhaven’s butterflies, we can’t leave out Merfolk’s little glassfish. They can survive without water, so I’ll send some to
Aurelia for free too,” Kieran offered.
While males in the group chat were still sending messages, Marcus had already gotten himself ready.
He found Jim and handed him a Level 11 beast core. “You move fast. You’re going to Aurelia’s independent space anyway, so take me with you.”
Jim glanced at the beast core. “No.”
He wasn’t stupid. If he took Marcus with him, that would just mean one more male competing with him for attention.
