“I don’t like Rafael, and honestly, I think I already have enough mates. I don’t want to bond with anyone else.” Emma quickly steered the conversation back to the point. “I’m telling you about Rafael because I want to warn you. I don’t think he’s as simple as he looks.”
“Not as simple?” Aria paused for a moment before thinking it over. “Emma, are you saying he’s really good at putting on an act? Because honestly, Rafael’s tricks are pretty basic.
“I’ve seen hundreds of guys like him. He’s just especially good at playing a part, and it helps that he’s easy on the eyes. Maybe that makes his little tricks look a bit more sophisticated than most males.”
In my eyes, Rafael’s whole act of being so careful and almost painfully humble is obviously deliberate, but he’s good-looking. I’m usually more forgiving when a male is attractive. I don’t really care about those little things he does to get closer to me.
“I’m worried he might actually be dangerous for you,” Emma explained.
“He’s a Rank 3 male. What kind of danger could he possibly pose to me?” Aria didn’t take it seriously. “Emma, you don’t have to worry about me. I’ve got Milper and the others around me, and I’m not stupid, either. If Rafael ever gets close to me and actually does something that puts me in danger, I promise I won’t hold back.”
She wasn’t about to put herself in danger over a male.
Emma had nothing to say to that. Judging by the way Aria looked, she was clearly very interested in Rafael.
It wasn’t like she couldn’t order Aria to stay away from him either.
Earlier, when they had boarded the airship, Emma had asked Silas, Gaellard, and Andre if they had noticed anything unusual about Rafael.
All three of them had said that he seemed to have some ulterior motives, but they hadn’t noticed anything else out of the ordinary
Still, she couldn’t shake the feeling that something was off about Rafael. Whenever she saw him, he always gave her a faint but unmistakable sense of danger.
After thinking it over, she pulled a black crystal out of her storage band.
There were five tiny blood-red dots suspended inside the black crystal.
She placed the black crystal in Aria’s hand. “Take this. It’s a new weapon Corvin developed. It contains a Rank 13 insect core. If you ever find yourself in real danger, just throw it. Even a Rank 13 Chitinid will be blown to ashes.”
Corvin had said that even if Emma ran into a Rank 14 Chitinid or beast, it should be enough to give it pause. She could use that moment to get away before it had a chance to react.
He had only made two of these.
Emma simply couldn’t bring herself to let Aria go without one, so she gave her one.
Aria looked down at the black crystal in her hand and tried to give it back. “Emma, this is way too valuable.”

However, Emma didn’t even give her the chance. “I’m not just your bestie. I’m also Lucien’s wife. I’m giving this to you, so you have to keep it.”
Aria was at a complete loss for words.
As they talked, the airship soon entered a vast expanse of independent space.
The airship passed smoothly through a layer of energy shielding that shimmered like rippling water, and the view before them suddenly opened up.
The entire independent space was enclosed beneath a completely transparent energy dome.
Beyond the dome was a breathtaking nebula, its formation precisely mapped out by orbital calculations. Purple and blue stardust intertwined with dazzling fragments of stars, so close that they almost seemed within reach.
The airship slowly came to a stop above a floating island of white jade.
Aria had someone open the cabin door. “Emma, we’re here. What do you think? Do you like it?”
Lucien still hasn’t replied to me since we were on the airship. He should be here already, right?
She looked around, but she didn’t see any sign of Lucien.
Emma stepped down from the airship and looked up. Stretching out beneath her feet was a suspended walkway paved entirely with transparent Star Crystals.
There was no abyss beneath the walkway. Instead, an endless sea of liquid starlight shimmered with an ethereal blue glow.
With every step Emma and Aria took, golden ripples spread across the starry sea below, one after another, like something straight out of a dream. A few starlight jellyfish, their bodies glowing with a soft, gentle light, drifted lazily through the sea beneath their feet, their long tentacles trailing behind them.
All around them, floating islands of different sizes hung in the air, scattered in perfect harmony.
The islands were covered in rare interstellar Moonlight Velvet and Shattered Star Flowers.
The plants gave off a faint glow in the dim surroundings. Whenever someone came near, their petals gently flickered as if breathing, weaving a dazzling sea of flowers.
High above them, countless Stardust Butterflies with an eerie blue glow fluttered gracefully through the air. Their delicate trails of scattered light followed behind them, transforming the entire space into something straight out of a fairy tale.
Gaellard, who had followed them over, looked at the breathtaking scene and couldn’t help feeling a little sour.
How did I not know Central Planet had a place like this? If I’d known Central Planet had somewhere this beautiful, I would’ve brought Emma here first. No way was I gonna let that already-bonded male Lucien have a chance to pull something like this just to impress her.
