On Her Daddy's Bed (Adeline and Luciano) novel Chapter 83

Author’s POV.

Axel stared at the doctor for a minute without saying a word.

He was trying to comprehend the words, and after a minute of blinking his eyes gently, it dawned on him that the doctor had said what he said—no less, no more.

A smile crept its way to his cheeks, and for an unknown reason, his eyes watered.

He thought something bad might have happened to her, but she was lying there beautifully, carrying his seed in her stomach.

“Doctor…” he called out happily, and the doctor gave him a smile.

“Doctor, can I see my woman?” His voice was laced with joy. Alex and Tracy just stood there, staring at the doctor happily.

“Of course you can.”

Axel nodded his head and eagerly rushed in, ignoring everything else the doctor was saying.

“Momma.” His face beamed with a smile as he took a seat next to her and held her hands in his.

“Momma… you are carrying my child. The doctor said you are carrying my first seed inside of you, momma.”

Hazel flashed him a smile. The smile on his face was enough to make her happy.

He kissed her palm gently and stared into her hazy eyes with his squinted ones.

“For a while, I thought I had lost you, momma. I thought something bad might have happened to you. But you are here, momma, carrying my child. You are my world, momma, and everything I have ever dreamed of,” he confessed while Hazel just lay quietly with a radiant smile on her face.

She had heard those words from him countless times, but today, it was safe for her to say that he was everything she had ever wished for.

At first, when the doctor told her about it, she was a bit scared. First, she wasn’t done with school, and she thought Axel was not going to accept the child wholeheartedly—perhaps because he wasn’t ready to be a father. But here he was, jubilating over having his first seed from her.

Hazel made to stand up, but Axel held her down gently.

“You can’t do that now, momma. You are pregnant. You are carrying my baby, and the doctor definitely doesn’t want you to be stressed.”

Hazel stared at Axel for an extended amount of time and burst out laughing gently.

“How could a man be this strong yet feeble?” she teased, and he rolled his eyes.

“Alright, momma, I do not care what you wish to call me, but you and my baby are my priority right now, and I need to take proper care of you both.”

He didn’t know if he was saying it rightly, but he meant every bit of his words. The joy in him was greater than the little pain he felt. He wished he was done with his enemies before bringing a child into this world, but he wasn’t going to give up. He wasn’t going to miss a chance to care for his woman and his baby.

The door opened, and Alex walked in alongside Alexia.

“Hey, bestie,” Alexia called softly and took a step closer.

“I thought I was going to be the first person to get this news. Turns out your husband can’t stand seeing you unwell. You need to see how ridiculously silly he was acting when you fainted.” Alexia teased, and Axel scoffed.

“You won’t tease me that way, little child.”

“But I wasn’t lying.” Alexia chuckled softly, and Hazel smiled.

“You weren’t lying, Alexia. I mean, he barely wants me to take a seat. He wants me lying down, doing nothing.”

Alexia smiled at her friend’s words, then patted her cheek softly.

“Oh! It’s going to be boring at home, Daddy. Alexia has lectures today and will be back soon. Can I have your ATM? I want to go shopping.”

Axel hesitated for a while. He was skeptical about letting her go alone.

He pulled the ATM card out of his wallet and presented it to her.

“I will send eight of the guards after you. You can’t go to the mall alone.”

Hazel’s face contorted into a frown, and she groaned, staring at him.

“But I am old enough! No one is coming to get me.”

Axel stared at her for an extended amount of time and muttered,

“You are carrying my child, momma. Your life isn’t a joke to me at all.”

“But… I…”

“My words are final, momma. You go with the guards or wait for Alexia.”

Hazel gulped down nothing, recognizing that tone as final. She took the ATM card from him and made to walk away, but he gripped her wrist and slammed her gently into his body.

“You don’t wear that look for Daddy. Loosen up, or Daddy will teach you a lesson.”

His deep baritone voice made her legs quiver, and Hazel felt like a slut for getting wet at the slightest utterance of his mischievous words.

A gentle smile appeared at the corner of her lips, and he leaned forward, planting gentle kisses on her lips.
