Oops! My Whirlwind Tycoon Husband Is the Guy from That Night? novel Chapter 8

As an adult, Sonia obviously knew exactly what he meant.

Sex.

Knowing it was one thing, but hearing this intensely dominant man say it out loud was entirely different. Her face instantly burned red.

God, that was embarrassing.

She quickly turned her head to stare out the window, desperately trying to hide her flushed cheeks.

When Sonia didn't argue, Quentin took it as full permission.

He turned his attention back to his laptop and continued working.

His heavy thigh remained pressed firmly against hers, occasionally brushing higher up her leg as the car hit slight bumps.

Because she was sitting, the slit of her dress had ridden up, leaving half of her thigh completely exposed.

A thin layer of suit fabric did absolutely nothing to block the heat. He could feel exactly how hot her skin was.

The warmth transferred between them like a subtle electric current, bleeding from her bare leg right through his trousers, seeping into his blood and rushing violently through his veins.

A minute later, Quentin knocked sharply on the privacy partition. He raised his voice, commanding his assistant, "Turn the AC down."

The heat today was absolutely unbearable.

...

The Rolls-Royce pulled up to a premium education tech firm located in the heart of Capital City's financial district.

This was where Sonia worked. She specialized in educational consulting, data analysis, and private tutoring.

Her greatest skill was utilizing big data to instantly identify a student's weaknesses, crafting ruthless, highly personalized study plans that maximized efficiency and drove test scores up in record time.

As an A-list tutor, her rates were astronomical. A single forty-minute private session cost one thousand two hundred dollars.

Staring at the glowing corporate logo, Quentin remarked, "I'm familiar with this firm."

Sonia was genuinely surprised that the reigning billionaire of Capital City knew about her relatively niche workplace.

Noticing her reaction, Quentin added, "It's not a massive conglomerate, but it has a ruthless reputation for quality. In the college prep sector, it's considered top-tier."

"Their hiring standards are brutal," he continued. "Every tutor is poached from Ivy League-level universities. The city's top valedictorian last year was coached here."
