Chapter 47 *
Robert’s POV
“Go! Move, NOW!”
I shouted at my wife and two children.

Damn it! I looked at Aria, that kid sitting frozen in the back seat, unmoving. A wave of regret surged through me-I shouldn’t have brought her into this mess. Now she was too scared to even move. Too late, everything was too late. No matter what, I had to protect her-this was my responsibility. I was the one who brought her into this hell.
“Aria, get out of the car!”
I heard my son Oliver’s voice. Just moments ago, the four of us were sitting in the sedan-me in the driver’s seat, Faye in the passenger seat,
and Aria and Oliver both in the back.
I saw Oliver freeze for a split second in the rearview mirror, then immediately grabbed Aria, opened the back door, and ran out.
Good. At least the kids still had their wits about them. After all these years of too much experience, our family had become too calm in the face
of these sudden situations. This wasn’t the first time, and it probably wouldn’t be the last.
“Faye, take the gun. Cover the kids and get them out of here.”
I quickly pulled out two handguns from under the car seat-my essential survival weapons whenever I went out. I tossed one to my wife, then
got out of the car without hesitation.
Before me were more than a dozen rogues. I had to face them alone to buy time for my wife and children. I could feel my wolf stirring inside
me, ready to shift at any moment.
I heard Faye get out of the car behind me. She wore her usual expressionless, aloof demeanor, but right now I knew she must be just as anxious
as I was.
I’ll cover you two. Go!” Faye’s voice came from behind.
I knew how much she wanted to help me, but the children were more important. We both understood this.
“None of you are getting out of here alive!”
Suddenly, a cold voice rang out. My heart sank-not good!
From both sides of the forest and from behind us, another dozen or so rogues burst out. They had us completely surrounded in the center! These rogues’ eyes glowed with a mad red light, and the smell of blood emanated from their bodies.
These bastards had clearly come prepared!
My heart instantly sank. Originally, Faye and I had both prepared ourselve-even if we couldn’t make it out alive today, we would at least let the two children escape! But now… even if we shifted into our wolf forms, we couldn’t protect the children while fighting more than twenty
rogues!

Robert what do we do? I heard Faye’s trembling voice. Her hand holding the gun kept shaking.
“We shift and fight. Even if we go down, we’re taking enough of them with us to give the kids a chance.” My free hand clenched into a fist, and
I had already prepared myself for the worst. I could feel my bones beginning to tremble, ready to shift.
But the moment my words fell-
Before my eyes, a figure suddenly flashed by.
Then the handgun in my grip suddenly disappeared!
What?!
I looked up in shock, and together with my son and wife, we looked to the side.
The scene before us left us completely stunned-
My niece Aria, whom I had once thought timid and weak, had somehow taken the handgun from my hand and was now holding it, playing with
it expertly.
That movement… that posture… nothing like a teenage kid! More importantly, I could feel a powerful Alpha aura suddenly bursting from her
body!
