Chapter 504
“I’m not signing. If you want to die, let’s die together,” Oliver shot back, suddenly seizing Henry in a death grip and dragging him straight toward the edge of the rooftop.
Realizing what Oliver was about to do, Henry completely lost it and screamed, “Are you insane? Is the Rowle Group really worth dying over?”
He didn’t want to die, he just wanted to force Oliver to sign, that was all.
He never expected to run into someone who truly didn’t care if he lived or died.
Just as the two were locked in a desperate struggle, out of nowhere, someone came flying in. Henry was so shocked he just stood there, totally blanking out.
Only when he got kicked away and was forced to let go of Oliver did Henry finally snap back to reality. Snarling, he raised the knife and charged at Oliver, yelling, “Fine, then let’s die together!”
Since he was doomed anyway, he might as well drag someone down with him.
Oliver was still thrown off by the impact, barely able to keep his footing. He had no way to dodge, and as the knife came straight for his chest, all he could think was, ‘So this is how it ends for me, huh?’
But instead of stabbing into his chest, the blade slashed across an arm that shot out from nowhere.
Oliver felt a powerful arm yank him back a couple steps, steadying him. All he could do was stare as that arm took the hit, a fresh wound opening up right before his eyes.
“Oliver! Alaric!” Ophelia shouted, rushing in just a second too late, and it was all over before she could do anything.
“You’re hurt,” Ophelia said, her brows furrowing, her eyes filled with worry and pain.
She’d watched him get hurt right in front of her, but she hadn’t even had time to help.
