Just then, Jackson’s voice came from outside the door. “I heard Calvin Binder has found out what happened in the car accident. As an innocent victim, I think I have the right to know.”

As he spoke, Ollie wheeled him into the room.

When Julia saw Jackson, her bravado faded. She nervously glanced at Darell, thinking, ‘Is Jackson here to confront us?”

If Curtis really got caught messing with that brat Victoria’s car, and Jackson started asking questions, they’d be in deep trouble.

Darell frowned and shook his head, signaling her to stay calm.

Calvin, though he didn’t want to expose the family’s troubles, could only nod. “Of course. Jackson got caught up in this accident, and it’s the Binder family’s responsibility.”

After Ollie wheeled Jackson to a spot near Victoria’s bedside, Calvin gave Milton a look, signaling him to share the findings from their investigation in Mimiburg.

Milton nodded, catching Calvin’s signal. “After carefully checking the surveillance footage around Mimiburg, we discovered that Jackson, Curtis, and Victoria’s cars all entered the underground parking lot.

“But here’s the strange part–on that very day, several cameras inside the lot were deliberately sabotaged. And those broken cameras just happened to cover the area where Victoria’s car was parked.”

Julia shot back right away, “So what? Like I said before, maybe Victoria cooked up this whole thing herself. Maybe she messed with those cameras on purpose so nobody could see what she was really up to.”

Jackson replied, “I was in Vickie’s car when it happened. Are you saying she’d risk my life just to frame your son, Curtis? I’m pretty sure my life isn’t that worthless to her.”

Victoria chimed in, acting all serious. “Of course not. Why would I ever risk my fiancé Jack’s life just to take down Curtis?”

Julia was left speechless. With Jackson riding in Victoria’s car, her whole accusation about Victoria targeting Curtis suddenly sounded pretty flimsy.

Milton remained calm in the face of Julia’s doubts and accusations. “Mrs. Binder, please don’t get too worked up.

“Even though some of the regular cameras were sabotaged, the management at Mimiburg told us they’ve got hidden cameras in other spots. Those cameras can still capture everything that happened in that area.”

Julia, who was already starting to lose her nerve, froze on the spot.

Milton went on, “That area is reserved for VIP customers at Mimiburg.

“To make sure their safety and belongings are always protected, they installed hidden cameras from different angles–just in case. So even if something goes wrong, there’s always solid proof.”

Julia’s nerves were fraying, her unease mounting with every word.

Even Darell’s stoic mask slipped for a moment, a flicker of emotion crossing his face.

Milton spoke up, his voice steady. “The surveillance footage shows that Curtis did approach Victoria’s car and inspected it closely.

“Then he made a call, summoned his bodyguard, gave him specific instructions, and the bodyguard immediately got to work.

“He had someone unlock Victoria’s car, spent quite some time inside, doing something with the vehicle, and only left after a while.”

With that, Milton handed the saved video to Darell and Julia. “See for yourselves.”

After watching the video, Julia’s face drained of all color. She looked like she might pass out right then and there.

Jackson nodded at Ollie, who took the video from Julia. Then he, Daisy, and Hector huddled together to watch it closely.

Daisy’s expression was icy. “Julia, what else can you say now? Curtis got himself into this mess. He totally brought it on himself.

“Victoria only made it out alive thanks to sheer luck and heaven’s favor. If not, who knows how bad things could’ve turned

out.”

Hector glared at Darell and Julia, his voice cold. “Given everything that’s come to light, you don’t get to point fingers at Victoria anymore. Now it’s Daisy and me who are going to make you pay for this.”

Julia knew she was in the wrong, but she was still brazen enough to say, “Yeah, Curtis messed with Victoria’s car, but she’s fine, isn’t she?

“Curtis is the one lying in a coma. What more do you people want? Why are you all so aggressive? Is that what you want, for Curtis to die?”

Daisy replied coldly, “So you think only you get to demand explanations, and we don’t? If it hadn’t been proven that Curtis tried to kill Victoria, would you have ever let her off?

“Curtis is in a coma now, so there’s nothing we can do to him, but you two are his parents. Shouldn’t you take responsibility for what he did? The parents should pay for their son’s mistakes.”

Victoria felt totally at ease watching her gorgeous new mom and cool new dad charge ahead for her, while she just relaxed and popped grapes into her mouth.

‘It really does feel amazing to have people who care about you,‘ Victoria thought. ‘No wonder Angelica is so determined to stay with the Binder family.

‘Darell and his whole crew shower her with love. She’s got riches, status, and all the affection anyone could ask for. Who’d ever want to give that up?

‘But even that wasn’t enough for her. She was so greedy that she’d actually go as far as to hire someone to hurt me.

Julia squared her shoulders and yelled, “So what do you want from us? Is it our lives you want?

“Curtis may have made countless mistakes, but he’s already paid a heavy price. Are you really going to destroy our whole family? Do you people even have a conscience?”

Daisy was trembling with fury at Julia’s shameless attempt to turn the tables. “Who’s really heartless here?”

Just then, Jackson asked in a casual, almost offhand way, “Calvin, how are you planning to deal with this?”

His question sounded gentle enough, but there was an unmistakable sense of command behind it. Everyone felt the

pressure.

Calvin knew he couldn’t just sweep this under the rug as some family drama–not with Jackson’s life at stake. He said, “Now

After saying that, Calvin turned his gaze to Darell, whose expression was grim.

Calvin turned to Hector and Daisy. “Hector, Daisy, how would you like to deal with Darell and Julia?”

Hector glanced at Victoria lying in the hospital bed, then said, “Dad, I’m not here to make things difficult for Darell and Julia. Like Daisy said, we’re not actually going to take their lives.

“All I want is for you to let me take over Binder Pharma Group, and transfer 10% of its shares to Victoria as compensation for everything she’s been through.”

Darell absolutely hated it when anyone targeted Binder Pharma Group. He didn’t care about appearances as he snapped, “Hector, that’s outrageous.

“You want to take over the company, and now you expect Dad to hand 10% of the shares to Victoria? Do you have any idea how much 10% is worth? You’re trying to rob us blind when we’re at our lowest. There’s no way I’m agreeing to this.”
