Chapter 101
Hector ignored Darell and kept his eyes on Calvin, waiting for an answer.

It was Victoria’s idea to hand over the management of the pharma group to her handsome new dad, Hector. As for the 10% shares, she honestly hadn’t even thought about it.
She was doing all this just to take away everything Darell’s family had and give it all to Hector and Angelica as their nest egg for retirement.
She already had more than enough money of her own and didn’t care about a single cent from the Binder family.
But the fact that Hector wanted to secure her inheritance still moved and delighted her.
Calvin’s brows furrowed. He clearly thought Hector’s request was way out of line.
Calvin then said, “Hector, you know I’ve already decided that if Simon doesn’t make any progress this month, I’ll hand over the management of Brightstar Entertainment to Victoria next month.
“Now you want to take the management of Binder Pharma Group from Darell too? That’s really pushing it.”
Darell’s expression finally relaxed a little when he heard Calvin speak.
‘Good thing Calvin still has his wits about him. Darell thought.
Hector seemed to have expected Calvin’s reaction. He said, “I’ll compromise–just like with Brightstar Entertainment, give it six months, tops.
“If Binder Pharma Group still doesn’t show any real progress under Darell, Dad, you hand over the management to me. But Victoria still gets her 10% stake, no matter what.”
At the very least, even if the company really did end up in Darell’s hands, Victoria would still get her share of the profits.
“Hector, don’t be ridiculous. Drug research and production isn’t like picking apples off a tree. You can’t just snap your fingers and expect a breakthrough. What do you think you can actually achieve in six months?” Darell protested, refusing to accept the punishment.
Hector shot back with a sneer, “If Binder Pharma Group still can’t make any progress in six months, it’ll just keep losing value in your hands. Why bother holding on? Just let me take over and see what I can do.”
“Hector, stop acting tough. Your AI company, Springrise Technologies, hasn’t achieved anything yet, and now you think you can just waltz in and take over here?” Darell sneered, then turned to Calvin.
He said, “Dad, I’ve been managing Binder Pharma Group for years. Sure, we haven’t had any big breakthroughs, but at least I’ve got some real experience under my belt.
“If you actually let Hector take over and just copy–paste his Springrise Technologies playbook onto our pharma company, it’ll be a total mess.”
Just then, Victoria, who had been quiet the whole time, finally spoke up. “Who says we can’t have a breakthrough? If Dad takes over, we could partner up with the Cooke family right away.”
At the mention of the Cooke family, Darell’s face instantly darkened.
Even Calvin was stunned, asking in disbelief, “The Cooke family? You mean the one renowned for their scientific research?”

Victoria nodded without hesitation. “Yes, Calvin, that’s exactly the Cooke family.”

Calvin, who had still been hesitating, now found himself wavering. “Victoria, you’re not joking about this, are you?”
Victoria answered solemnly, “I’m absolutely serious.”
Darell could tell that if he didn’t step in soon, Calvin was really about to be convinced by Victoria. ‘Damn, if I just sit here, she’s going to win him over for sure,’ he thought anxiously.
“Hmph. Who do you think you are, some big shot? You’re just a naive little girl, and you actually have the nerve to claim the Cooke family would ever work with you? Keep dreaming.” Darell sneered, his face full of contempt.
Then he spun around to Calvin, explaining anxiously, “Dad, sure, Victoria knows the Cooke family’s heir, but that guy hasn’t even taken over the family business.
“He just spends his days goofing off, writing webnovels for some spare change. Someone like that has zero say in any real company decisions. Like he can just snap his fingers and make a partnership happen?
“That’s a joke. In the end, it’s his dad who makes all the real decisions. Don’t buy into Victoria’s nonsense. She’s just selling you a pipe dream.”

Please, when it comes to playing the mental game, no one can beat me, Victoria scoffed inwardly
Even Daisy could barely hold back her laughter. Man, Victoria’s mouth is something che. She’s all sugar when it comes to Hector and me, but when she goes after Darell’s family, she’s downright savage
Darell cut in sharply, his voice icy enough to freeze the room. “That’s enough”
His tone was so frigid, it was as if ice shards were falling from his words.
But Victoria wasn’t about to let up. “Not even close to enough. With my so–called lack of manners, why would I stop now?
“Oh, and Darell, you can stop wasting your time trying to get Angelica to apologize to Oliver. She called him today, and he had her on speaker right next to me.
“Oliver absolutely ripped into her. She was so miserable, the ended up bawling her eyes out,” Victoria said, her voice dripping with sarcasm.
“Funny, you used to treat your precious adopted daughter like royalty–wouldn’t let her marry that so–called cripple Jackson from the Thornton family, insisted on keeping her close.
“Now you’re just fine letting her get put through the wringer by Oliver? Guess she’s not so special after all
