Simon took the bag and carefully checked what was inside. It was just the usual stuff like tissues, perfume, a compact mirror, lipstick, and other small everyday items.
In a small compartment, he found a couple of bank cards and a driver’s license, along with some other documents.
There was also a little notepad for jotting down reminders.
Simon picked up the notepad and flipped through it. It had some recent notes about Angelica’s moods and a few small things she wanted to remember.
[The real Binder family heiress is coming back. I really hope she’ll accept me. All I want is to stay with Mom, Dad, and my brothers.]
[I think I made the real Binder family heiress angry. She even started calling Uncle and Aunt her parents. What am I supposed to do now? Mom, Dad, and Curtis must feel so awkward.]
[I upset her again, and she slapped me. Curtis got kicked because of me, too. She’s seriously way out of line.]
[Simon hurt his right leg. I have no clue how it happened.]
[At the welcome party, I just don’t want to let Mom, Dad, Simon, or Curtis down.]
[Seems I still disappointed them.]
[Simon seems really troubled lately. I wish I could help him out.]
[I asked a friend, and he actually knows Viara. It’s great I can help Simon.]
[Curtis got into a car accident and is in a coma, How could this happen?]
[Simon actually told me that Victoria is Viara. I still couldn’t help him.]
[Curtis, please wake up soon. I don’t think I can take it anymore. If he hadn’t tried to defend me, he never would’ve ended up in that accident.]
[If I could, I’d trade half my life just to see Curtis open his eyes again.]
[Simon keeps giving me these strange looks lately. He must blame me, too. I’m totally useless to him.]
[Victoria is terrifying, especially with everything she’s been through. Mom, Dad, and Simon are really in danger! I can’t let her keep hurting them!]
[At Victoria’s engagement party, I’m going to show everyone who she really is!]
After going through all those notes, Simon’s hands were shaking, and he couldn’t hide the guilt in his eyes.
Right then, he felt awful for ever doubting his thoughtful, sweet foster sister.
Seeing this, his assistant asked with concern, “Mr. Binder, is everything alright?”
Simon took a moment to compose himself, slipped the notepad back into the bag, and shook his head. “It’s nothing. There’s one more thing I need you to handle,”
“Just say the word, Mr. Binder,” the assistant replied.

“Get me the newest limited–edition designer handbag for women,” Simon said. He made up his mind to make it up to Angelica for ever doubting her.
“Understood, Mr. Binder.”
Meanwhile, Angelica was sitting by Curtis’s bedside, holding her phone and browsing the latest luxury handbags.
“I wonder which bag Simon will get me after he sees all those touching notes I wrote just for him.”
This one… no, it’s not pricey enough, and it’s not even limited edition… Maybe this one…

Chapter 116
“Victoria, come here. This is your aunt, Sirena,” Daisy called out, waving her over as soon as she saw her.

Victoria walked over and sat down next to Daisy, glancing at the middle–aged woman sitting across from them on the sofa.
She was younger than Julia and Daisy. According to the info Mara had dug up, she was only forty.
“So this is the daughter you and Hector just acknowledged, the real Binder family heiress? She’s got quite the temper. Last night, I had Curtis’s butler call for her, and she said she was too busy to see me, but apparently had plenty of time for her so- called herb garden.”
Sirena sized Victoria up with the same look of disdain Julia and the others had given her when she first arrived at the Binder family.
Daisy put her arm around Victoria’s shoulders and said, “Victoria already told me about this. Honestly, Sirena, you really should’ve known better. You didn’t even let Dad know you were coming back, and what business did you have with Victoria anyway?”
I’m not blaming you since you haven’t been home in ages, and you didn’t even show up for Victoria’s welcome party. So it’s understandable you don’t know what’s going on. Victoria doesn’t get along with Darell and his wife, and you had their butler call for her? Of course she wasn’t going to go.”
“Now that you know, make sure you’re more careful next time.”
With Daisy turning the tables and calling her out, Sirena’s expression soured. “I really have been away from the Binder family for too long. Who would’ve guessed the once calm and easygoing person like you would become so outspoken?”
Daisy just smiled, unfazed by the jab. “That’s all Victoria’s influence. Stay too mild for too long, and you end up letting the wrong people push you around.”
