Sirena’s eyes narrowed with arrogance. “Nothing important. I just wanted to congratulate you and Hector on your newly recognized daughter’s engagement to Jackson tomorrow.”

As she spoke, she shot Victoria a sideways glance, her arrogance turning into open disdain. “I’ll bring the gift to the engagement party tomorrow. Today, I just wanted to meet the real heiress of the Binder family who supposedly stole the show at the welcome party.”

Victoria replied calmly, her tone laced with sarcasm, “If you were so curious about me, why didn’t you come to see me at the welcome party?”

Sirena clearly hadn’t expected Victoria to be so blunt and was momentarily caught off guard. After a brief pause, she shot back with annoyance, “Obviously, I was busy. Just like you had time to play around in that shabby little herb garden last night, but couldn’t bother to come see me.”

Victoria just gave a nonchalant “oh” and said, “Doesn’t matter. Whether you show up or not, it’s all the same to me.”

Sirena’s face twisted in anger at Victoria’s laid–back attitude. She snapped, “Darell and his wife were right. You really have zero class.”

Seeing Sirena finally lay into Victoria, Daisy’s expression turned icy. “Sirena, if you’re here today just to give Victoria a hard time like Darell and Julia did, then you’re not welcome in my house!”

Sirena dropped the act. “Daisy, I’m not here to congratulate anyone. I’m here to warn this little upstart. Just because she’s the real heiress of the Binder family doesn’t mean she can do whatever she wants and throw her weight around here!”

“Ever since she came back, she’s been causing chaos in the Binder family. Curtis is still laid up in the hospital, Simon’s walking with a limp, and Angelica… people are saying her reputation as Benwig City’s top talent is just for show.”

“I heard Dad’s handing Brightstar Entertainment over to her next month, and in six months, the family’s pharmaceutical company goes to Curtis. And all because your daughter claims she can work with the Clark family? Sorry, but I don’t buy it. My husband knows people in the Clark family, and he’s never heard a thing about any partnership. Victoria shrugged. “Looks like your husband doesn’t actually know anyone important in the Cooke family. Otherwise, Uncle Darell wouldn’t still be struggling to get in with them after all this time. Maybe your husband just knows some butler or gardener and pretends that’s the same as knowing the Cooke family?”

Sirena’s face turned icy at Victoria’s jab. “That’s out of line! Mind your tone!”

Victoria let out a laugh. “Sirena, this is my house. If anyone’s acting out of line and lacking manners, it’s you.”

“Your house?” Sirena scoffed, arching her brows. “The whole Binder family belongs to my dad right now. Who knows, maybe one day he’ll toss you out of this fancy villa. Then you’ll be back on the streets, just like before, sleeping under bridges, scrambling for scraps, not knowing if you’ll make it to tomorrow!”

Victoria just smiled breezily, completely unbothered. “No big deal. It’s just a villa, nothing special. I’ve got 30% of Brightstar Entertainment and 10% of the pharmaceutical company. Honestly, either one is worth way more than this Goldenwood

Sirena’s arrogant look disappeared in a flash, replaced by pure shock. She blurted out, “What did you just say?”

Secing Victoria wasn’t lying, Sirena jumped up, furious. “Unbelievable! I’m going to find Dad and ask him myself. Has he completely lost his mind?”

Just then, a deep, commanding voice cut through the tension. “Sirena, what exactly do you want to ask me?”

At the sound of that familiar, intimidating voice, Sirena’s bravado deflated like a popped balloon, her confidence dropping by more than half in an instant.

Calvin walked in with Milton’s help and sat down on the couch. Sirena, still simmering with anger, finally demanded, “Dad, I heard you gave 10% of the pharmaceutical company and 30% of Brightstar Entertainment to your darling granddaughter? Is that for real?”

Calvin looked at her, his face unreadable. “Got a problem with that?”

Sirena was so upset she nearly jumped out of her seat. “Dad, I’m your own daughter, and I don’t even get a single share! And now this girl, who just came back, suddenly gets handed a pile of shares? How am I supposed to swallow that? I’ve always done everything you asked, so why is she getting all the perks? Is it just because she’s your newly found granddaughter that you have to spoil her like this?”

Calvin remained completely unmoved by her rapid–fire complaints. He replied coldly, “Sirena, tell me, if I gave you shares, what would you actually contribute to the Binder family?”

Sirena stared at him, totally stunned. “Dad, what more do you want from me? Didn’t I bend over backwards to marry into the Clark family for us? Haven’t they helped our family a lot over the years?”

Calvin snorted. “Helped? You mean tossing a few bucks our way just for show? Is money what the Binder family needs? No, it’s connections! Our pharmaceutical company has been going nowhere for years. If the Clarks really wanted to help, why hasn’t Darell managed to work with the Cooke family after all this time? Honestly, since you married in, all you’ve done is enjoy the high life!”

“Dad, that’s way too harsh! It’s not like I ever had a real say in those big business deals. But I’ve always tried to get my husband to pull some strings for us, haven’t I?” Sirena’s face flushed with anger, clearly refusing to back down.

Calvin’s expression was stern, his eyes blazing as he stared at Sirena. “That’s exactly the gap between you and Victoria! She’s the one who can actually bring real value to the Binder family and help us thrive!”

Sirena’s anger was practically boiling over as she raised her voice, “Dad, you might trust that little brat, but I sure don’t! If getting a deal with the Cooke family was so easy, Darell would’ve nailed it ages ago!”

“Honestly, the main reason I came back was to tell you. My husband just heard that Mr. Cooke is returning to Benwig City tomorrow. He can make the connection and set up a meeting for Darell to discuss business. Whether it works out or not, that’s up to Darell’s abilities.”

She pointed at Victoria with obvious disdain, her words sharp. “My husband is the respected second son of the Clark family. If he’s the one pulling strings, the odds of sealing the deal are way higher than whatever this girl is bragging about. She just got back and she’s all talk, nothing but empty promises!”

Victoria snorted, her eyes full of mockery. ‘Seriously? Mr. Cooke is coming back to Benwig City from Sharp Hill Town tomorrow, but he’s only making the trip for my engagement party, not to entertain the so–called second son of the Clark family or discuss any business with Darell.‘
