Chapter 125
Faye stopped laughing and asked curiously, “What kind of gift?”

Pierre’s eyes darted around, and he said with a mischievous grin, “A hundred wheelchairs! They’re still on their way, but when we hand them over to Jackson, it’ll be wild!”
Faye’s eyes widened. “Damn, Pierre, that’s ruthless! Giving Jackson a hundred wheelchairs? Are you trying to wish him a lifetime of being crippled at his engagement party?”
Pierre puffed out his chest, looking proud. “What do you think? Am I a genius or what?”
Faye gave him a thumbs–up. “Impressive!”
“No big deal.” Pierre yawned and stood up. “Seriously, what’s taking Jackson and the girl so long? Maybe his wheelchair’s so crappy it can’t even roll fast enough? Looks like he really needs an upgrade. Let me see what’s up.”
With that, he headed out of the hall, but as soon as he stepped outside, he spotted Jackson not far away, with Victoria right beside him.
Jackson was dressed in a custom–made red suit jacket and white pants, with a crisp white shirt underneath. Victoria, on the other hand, wore a red, waist–cinching gown with delicate hand embroidery and a touch of subtle makeup.
Pierre immediately waved and called out, “Jackson! Long time no see! I was just chatting with Felix and the others about how you’ve been lately!”
Hearing Pierre’s voice, all the Thornton family members inside the hall turned to look outside.
Jackson smiled. “Long time no see.”
Victoria had checked out the family info beforehand, so she recognized this guy in his early twenties right away was the youngest son of Ryan, the fourth son of Thornton family.
He was notorious for throwing his weight around, pulling pranks, and messing with people just for fun.
Suddenly, Pierre had an idea and hurried over, acting all helpful. “Jackson, let me push your wheelchair for you.”
With that, he shoved Ollie aside. “Let me do it!”
Ollie frowned. “Mr. Pierre…
Pierre waved him off. “Relax, Ollie, you think I can’t even handle a wheelchair?”
Victoria, standing nearby, caught the smug look in Pierre’s eyes. She could tell he was definitely up to something.
Wanna mess with Jackson? Alright, I’ll make him my first target.
With that in mind, Victoria smiled and said, “Let him push, Ollie. Like he said, he’s not so useless he can’t handle a wheelchair, right?”
Since Victoria had spoken up, Ollie didn’t say anything more.
Pierre grabbed the wheelchair, but her comment rubbed him the wrong way. He shot Victoria a dramatic eye–roll. “So you’re the real Binder heiress they dragged back from the countryside, huh? Back in the village, nobody cared if you didn’t know how to talk, but once you marry Jackson and join the Thornton family, you better start thinking before you speak and learn how to play the game.”

Victoria blinked, confused. “Did I say something wrong?”

Xavier scoffed, “What’s that supposed to mean ‘not so useless I can’t even push a wheelchair? Are you calling me useless?”
Victoria caught on and apologized, “Sorry, I misspoke.”
Pierre nodded, finally satisfied.
But Victoria shot back, “You’re not totally useless. At least you know how to push a wheelchair.”
Pierre scowled. “Forget it, I’m not wasting my breath on some clueless country girl who doesn’t even know the basics of
nanners.”
He turned to Jackson and said, “Jackson, seriously, you gotta keep your fiancee in check. Don’t let her act like some oudmouth shrew once she’s part of our family.”
As he spoke, he wheeled Jackson right up to the entrance of the hall.
His eyes gleamed with malice as he eyed the steps ahead. Just wait. I’ll let go at the right moment and make Jackson face- plant in front of everyone. That’ll be a show!
With that in mind, he quickened his pace, intending to push the wheelchair to the steps.
But just as he was about to let go, a sharp pain stabbed through his knee. Out of nowhere, his knees buckled and he crashed o the ground, catching himself with his hands.
At that moment, the wheelchair he’d been pushing rolled back and ran right over his hands.
The next second, with no one holding it steady, the wheelchair started to tip, and Jackson was about to fall to the floor.
Victoria shot out her hand and grabbed Jackson’s wheelchair just in time.
The next second, she shouted angrily at Pierre, who was still kneeling on the ground. “Pierre, what are you doing? Did you et go on purpose to hurt Jackson?”
Pierre looked up, totally baffled by what was happening. Before he could even react, Victoria kicked him hard in the chest.
Ah!” He was sent flying, rolling about six feet away from the force of the kick.
All the Thornton heirs in the hall were left speechless by what just happened.
Annie’s eyes popped wide. ‘Whoa! She is seriously fierce. So impressive!”
‘Damn it! Does this woman even know what she’s doing?” Felix smacked the table, jumped up in fury, and looked ready to rush over and give Victoria a lesson for messing with his brother.
Xavier and Faye just watched, clearly enjoying the drama.
The rest of the Thornton family, who’d been hanging out with Gerry in the study, came downstairs right in time to witness the whole scene.
Once Pierre realized Victoria had just kicked him to the ground, humiliation and fury exploded inside him. He got up, clutching his chest, and stormed over to her.
“You fucking bitch! How dare you kick me? If I don’t destroy you, don’t call me Pierre Thornton!”

As soon as he shouted “bitch,” Jackson’s dark eyes burned with murderous intent.
“Ollie,” he ordered in a low, dangerous voice.

Pierre stormed up to Victoria, about to swing his foot right into her stomach. But before he could even get close, Ollie came from behind and booted him so hard he hit the floor face–first.
This kick was way fiercer than Victoria’s earlier one. Pierre sprawled out, face–planting so hard his nose broke, blood pouring out everywhere.
Felix rushed out and quickly helped Pierre up from the floor.
Pierre climbed to his feet, clutching his bleeding nose, and yelled, “Ollie, you’re just Jackson’s assistant. You dare to hit me or this bitch? Do you even realize where you are? This is the Thornton family! Who the hell do you think you are in this jouse?”
Ollie showed no sign of fear. After all, Pierre had insulted Victoria and upset Jackson, this punishment could already be considered light.
Victoria was even more composed, cool as ever. This bloody opening was exactly her kind of scene, and she couldn’t be
happier.
Watching Pierre getting manhandled by Victoria and Ollie, his face darkening. “What the hell is going on here?”
The commotion caught the attention of Darell and his family, who had just arrived.
Looks like Victoria’s causing trouble again,” Julia said gleefully, watching the showdown at the hall entrance. “Now that she’s at the Thornton family’s place, it won’t be so easy for her to get away with it.”
Darell snorted. “Back at the Binder family, Dad always spoiled her rotten. She’s gotten used to acting all high and mighty
