Julia immediately understood that Calvin had come in person this time to make Sirena fulfill her bet with Victoria.

‘Dad is really losing his mind!‘ She thought. ‘Does he really want his daughter to kneel and apologize to his granddaughter?

Julia became even more convinced of the speculation she had with Simon last night. ‘Dad must be possessed or under some kind of spell, controlled by that little brat!”

She walked downstairs, settled onto the sofa, and set her designer bag aside. She said, “Sirena went straight back to their house with Bater after the engagement party last night. She didn’t even come here.”

Calvin snorted. “Back to the Clark family’s house, huh? Did she forget her bet with Victoria? Yesterday, she was so sure she could get Mr. Cooke to show up.”

‘It’s almost laughable. If Victoria wasn’t holding the Binder family together, with Sirena and Darell stirring up so much trouble, their family would’ve kept sliding downhill into ruin.”

Julia said in disbelief, “Dad, Sirena is your own daughter and Victoria’s aunt. That bet was just to motivate her. Are you seriously going to make Sirena kneel and apologize to Victoria?”

Calvin said, his voice stern, “If you can’t follow through, don’t make bets in the first place. If we act like this in business, who would ever trust the Binder family?”

Julia was left speechless.

After a long pause, she smoothed her hair and said, “Dad, if you insist on making Sirena kneel and apologize, that’s your call I won’t interfere. You can contact her yourself and have her come apologize to your precious granddaughter.”

Victoria said, “Grandpa, let me call Aunt Sirena. I don’t want to put you in an awkward spot.”

With that, she pulled out her phone, asked Daisy for Sirena’s number, and dialed.

After a moment, the call connected.

‘Who is this?” The woman’s voice was a bit stuffy, like she’d just rolled out of bed.

Victoria smiled. “Aunt Sirena, it’s me. Your niece, Victoria.”

The voice on the other end snapped awake. “Victoria? What do you want?”

Victoria teased, “Sounds like you slept pretty well last night. But don’t tell me you forgot you still owe me an apology?”

Victoria, I’m your aunt. Come on, that bet was just a joke between us. You’re not seriously going to make me go through with it, are you?” Sirena clearly had no intention of owning up.

Victoria made sure to emphasize, “Of course I’m serious. I was worried you’d try to back out, so I had Grandpa witness it. He’s right here with me, waiting for you to come over and apologize.”

There was a long silence on the other end before Sirena finally snapped, “Just you wait!”

With that, she hung up.

Victoria lowered her phone.

Calvin asked, “What did she say?”

Victoria replied, “She seemed really annoyed. She told me to just wait and see, but honestly, I doubt she’ll come here to apologize.”

“Seriously, she’s your elder and the daughter–in–law of the Clark family. There’s no way she’d ever kneel and apologize to a junior like you. If you really want that apology, why don’t you go to the Clark family’s house and make her do it yourself?” Julia said, deliberately egging Victoria on, a sly smile tugging at her lips.

She thought to herself, ‘No way Victoria would actually dare to storm into the Clark family’s house and demand an apology from Sirena.

Calvin hesitated. ‘If we can settle this within the Binder family, that’s best. But if this spills over to the Clark family, it’ll be a real embarrassment.‘

Victoria noticed Calvin’s hesitation and guessed what was on his mind. She figured Sirena was thinking the same thing. confident that Calvin wouldn’t really make a scene at the Clark family’s place.

Just then, Daisy spoke up. “Victoria, let’s go to the Clark family’s house right now and find her.”

Before Victoria could say anything, Julia cut in with a mocking tone.

“Wow, Daisy, are you out of your mind? You really don’t care what happens, huh? Marching over to the Clark family’s house to make Sirena apologize to Victoria? Maybe Sirena can swallow her pride, but you think the Clark family will just let that slide? You seriously expect their daughter–in–law to kneel and apologize in front of her own people? Anyone watching would think the Binder family doesn’t give a damn about the Clark family’s reputation.”

“Dad, I know you’re favoring your precious granddaughter right now, but honestly, I think we should just let this whole apology thing slide. Otherwise, we might really end up making an enemy of the Clark family.”

With that, Julia grabbed her designer bag and stood up. “Alright, I’ve got things to do, so I’ll leave you all to it.”

Today, she planned to use her connections to track down a trustworthy exorcist and a skilled witch expert, someone who could figure out if Calvin was actually possessed or under some kind of curse. This was urgent and couldn’t wait.

Just as Julia stepped out of the villa, she heard Victoria call out from behind, “Grandpa, if you don’t want to come with us, that’s fine. Mom and I can go to the Clark family’s house by ourselves.”

Julia stumbled, almost tripping over herself. ‘Is this girl for real? She actually wants to march over to the Clark family’s house and make Sirena kneel and apologize!‘

If Dad still has any shred of sanity left, there’s no way he’d let Victoria do something this insane! But if he actually agrees, he’s lost it for real!‘

Calvin paused, looking conflicted, then finally spoke up with a weary tone. “Victoria, Julia has a point. Maybe we should just drop this whole thing. I can make it up to you some other way.”

Julia thought, ‘Maybe there’s still hope for Dad after all.

Daisy spoke up for Victoria. “We can’t just let this go! If Sirena had won the bet, do you really think she’d just let it slide? No way! She’d rub it in Victoria’s face every chance she got!”

‘Why should Sirena get off the hook just because she lost? If we let this go, then anyone could just trample all over Victoria and get away with it! As her mom, I refuse to let her be pushed around and just swallow it!”

Victoria felt a warm rush in her heart, and her determination was clear. “Grandpa, just like Mom said, I’m not letting this

slide.”

“You really don’t have to worry. I just want Aunt Sirena to stick to the bet. As long as the Clark family doesn’t mess with me, I

Calvin suddenly snapped to it. ‘Victoria is the real backbone of the Binder family now, and the Clark family has never lifted a finger to help us. So why should I keep trying to stay on their good side?‘

Having made up his mind, Calvin spoke up immediately, “Alright, go ahead. Bring some bodyguards with you, just in case things get messy.”

‘Dad must be totally possessed!‘ Julia thought, her mind spinning in disbelief.

“Okay.”

Victoria and Daisy left Silverwood Villa, with their bodyguards tagging along, and made their way straight to the Clark family’s place.

After turning it over in her mind a dozen times, Julia finally decided to tag along to the Clark family’s place. She couldn’t wait to see how Victoria was going to pull off making Sirena kneel and apologize right there in front of the Clarks.

An hour and a half later, they arrived at the Clark family’s house.
