She was practically buzzing with excitement as she spoke. This was her chance to really show what she could do.

Simon finally tracked down the hotel Pierre went to after leaving the auction, using every connection he had. After considering all the pros and cons, he decided to bring two strong, well–trained bodyguards and rushed

over.

When they arrived, Simon went straight to the front desk and booked a luxury presidential suite on the top floor without hesitation.

These suites were insanely expensive and reserved for VIPs or the ultra–rich. Simon figured Pierre would definitely be staying in one.

Once they reached the top floor, Simon signaled the bodyguards to get started. They went down the hallway, ringing each doorbell one by one.

When they got to the third door, it slowly opened, and, just as expected, Pierre appeared.

He was shirtless, with nothing but a white towel around his waist, barely covering what needed to be covered.

When Pierre saw Simon standing at the door, he was caught completely off guard, standing there in shock

While Pierre was still stunned, Simon and his two bodyguards strode right in and, without missing a beat, slammed the door hard behind them.

Only then did Pierre snap out of it. He spun around, glaring at Simon, and barked, “Simon, what the fuck is this supposed to mean?”

As Simon walked in, he spotted a young woman sitting on the bed, her clothes in disarray. There was a glaring slap mark on her pretty face. He knew right away this was the girl Victoria had asked him to save. Without a word, he strode over, grabbed her wrist, and said, “Come with me. I’m getting you out of here?”

Yvonne was stunned, staring at Simon in shock. “You…”

Simon cut her off. “Don’t say a word. Just come with me.”

Yvonne quickly shut her mouth.

Seeing this, Pierre shouted, “Simon, are you fucking crazy? You really think you can just brazenly snatch the woman I’ve got my eye on right in front of me?”

“Hold him back,” Simon told his bodyguards, having them block Pierre. Before Pierre could summon his own guys, Simon hurried Yvonne out of the room.

Pierre watched as Simon and Yvonne got farther and farther away, then started cursing at the bodyguards blocking his path. “Do you even know who you’re messing with? Get out of my way, or I’ll have you taken out!”

Seeing Simon wasn’t stopping, Pierre shot him a warning. “Alright, Simon, you better watch your back! You won’t get away with this!”

Simon ignored Pierre’s threats, hustling Yvonne into the elevator as fast as his limp would allow. He finally breathed a sigh of relief as the doors closed behind them.

He knew he’d crossed Pierre for real this time. There was no going back.

Seeing Simon looking like he’d just dodged a bullet, Yvonne said gratefully, “Thank you… Why’d you go up against Pierre to help me?”

Simon turned to her. “It’s not really me who wanted to save you, it’s…”

He hesitated for a second, then added, “My sister sent me to get you out.”

Simon realized that, for the first time, he was actually calling Victoria his sister. It felt strange, almost awkward, saying it out loud.

“Your sister?” Yvonne’s eyes sparkled. “Is she the rich girl who openly challenged Pierre at the auction?”

Simon nodded. “Yeah, that’s her.”
