Victoria walked over to Jackson and glanced at Curtis, who was lying on the stretcher. She knew Curtis was fully conscious right now, taking in every word around him.

Behind her sunglasses, Angelica’s eyes sparkled with smug satisfaction.

Victoria sighed, looking like she had no other choice. “Fine.”

Seeing her finally obey, Simon let out a rare breath of relief. “Vickie, if you’d just been this obedient from the start, we wouldn’t be in this mess.”

Victoria gave a cold laugh. “Simon, did you forget? If I’d done what you wanted back then, I’d be the one with a ruined face, right?”

Her words made Simon remember the first time he’d met Victoria, leaving him speechless for a moment. “That’s all behind us. This time, just wake Curtis up, detox Angelica and me, and we can try to get along as a family again. Let’s let go of all the grudges.”

Just then, they heard Annie’s voice.

“Jackson! Victoria! I’m here!”

Victoria looked toward the main gate and saw Annie’s car blocked at the entrance. Annie was leaning out of the driver’s seat, waving frantically at them.

Victoria glanced at the gatekeeper and ordered, “Let her in.”

The main gate slowly swung open again.

Annie hopped back into the driver’s seat and drove in.

Right behind Annie, another car pulled up.

Simon recognized it as Sirena’s car.

Both cars were parked side by side in the garage.

After parking, Annie got out of the car.

Along with her came three of her girlfriends, all from pretty well–connected families in the elite circles of the capital.

Since they weren’t familiar with the Binder family or Jackson, they never got invited to Victoria’s welcome party or her engagement bash with Jackson.

All the gossip about Victoria–they’d only ever watched the drama unfold online.

So when Annie said she was bringing them over to the Binder family today, they were beyond excited to finally see the famous heiress in person and get a close look at Jackson, the legendary prodigy everyone used to talk about. Of course, they couldn’t wait to tag along.

Watching Annie stroll in with her three socialite friends, Simon couldn’t shake the feeling that something bad was brewing. ‘Bringing Jackson here for backup, sure, I get that, but what’s the point of inviting Annie to the Binder family?‘ he wondered. ‘And she brought her whole crew along? Does she think this place is a resort or something?‘ Simon grumbled inwardly.

No matter what Victoria was plotting, they had to stick to their plan. With half the family knocked out, the rest injured or disfigured, if they didn’t do something soon, the Binder family would lose everything.

No backing out now–it was all or nothing.

With that thought, Simon looked away and walked over to Sirena’s car with Angelica.

The door popped open, and Sirena and Bater stepped out first.

“Aunt Sirena, Uncle Bater,” Simon called out in greeting.

Right after, Simon realized that Miranda and Nathan were also inside the car.

He was taken aback. He hadn’t expected Nathan and Miranda to show up as well.

Nathan got out of the car and reached back to help his grandmother. “Watch your step, Grandma.”

Annie’s three friends stared at Nathan, whose looks could totally rival Jackson’s, and blurted out, “Whoa, Nathan showed up too?”

“Wait seriously? Doesn’t Nathan always hate being called ‘always second best? He never shows up when Jackson’s around, right? But today, with Jackson here, he actually came… Now this is gonna be fun!” they said.

“Damn, Annie, you weren’t lying!” they added.

Annie lifted her chin proudly. “Obviously! Victoria said there’d be some real drama today, so you know something big’s going down!”

Miranda, leaning on Nathan for support, stepped out of the car and immediately shot Victoria a look. The whole mess Victoria stirred up at the Clark family just days ago was still fresh in her mind, and she hadn’t gotten over it one bit.

Jackson glanced at Victoria. “Vickie, did you ever piss off Nathan?”

Victoria shrugged. “Nah, never bothered Nathan. But Miranda? Oh, I definitely got on her bad side. Gave her son a few good slaps right in front of her, more than once. Not that it matters, they’re all in it together anyway.”

Even so, Jackson thought Nathan wouldn’t come all the way to the Binder house just because his father got slapped.

If Jackson guessed correctly, Nathan’s real reason for showing up was probably Vickie herself.

Julia had come out to greet Sirena and Bater, but when she reached the main gate, she was stunned to see Miranda and Nathan there as well.
