Seeing this, Miranda finally couldn’t hold back her frustration and spoke up. “Calvin, your granddaughter Victoria barged into the Clark family home a couple of days ago and beat up my son!
Your daughter–in–law swore she could get Victoria to apologize to us, but judging by what’s happening now, they clearly can’t manage it. As the head of the Binder family, shouldn’t you give the Clark family a proper answer?”
Calvin shook his head and replied, “Starting today, I’m putting Victoria in charge of the Binder family. So if the Clark family wants to pursue this any further, you’ll have to take it up with her directly. I’m no longer the one in charge.”
Darell was lost in misery, but Calvin’s words snapped him awake. ‘If he’s not going to cut me any slack, then I don’t need to show any mercy either!‘
Miranda was caught off guard by Calvin’s decision, then sneered. “You seriously trust the whole Binder family to a kid who’s barely out of school? Aren’t you worried she’ll piss people off everywhere and bring the family crashing down in no time?”
Calvin coughed twice and answered unhurriedly, “She’s still better than an old man like me who’s about to kick the bucket and way better than my second son, who can’t do anything right except mess things up.”
As for Hector, he just wanted to stick to his own turf. There was absolutely no way he’d ever take over the Binder family.
Once Darell realized Calvin was truly determined, he shot Victoria a resentful glare, his fists clenched tight. His voice was weak but laced with malice. “Dad, looks like Julia was right. You’ve been possessed or cursed by Victoria. I need to have someone examine you!”
Calvin frowned, his face cold. “Possessed? Cursed? That’s pure nonsense!”
Darell’s face darkened. “Whether it’s true or not, an examination will reveal the truth. Good thing I was prepared and had Julia make all the necessary preparations. Or you will ruin the Binder family, Dad!”
Losing a finger was nothing, but letting the whole Binder family fall into Victoria’s hands was something Darell could never
accept.
“Is everyone here yet?” Darell asked.
Julia nodded. “They’re here.”
“Bring them in,” Darell said.
Then, Julia grabbed the walkie–talkie from her pocket and commanded, “Come in, all of you!”
Before long, a crowd of bodyguards rushed in from outside the villa, packing the living room wall to wall.
This was exactly what Julia had prepared for.
Worried something might go down today, she called in thirty bodyguards from her family to wait outside the estate. Plus the villa’s regular guards, that made forty altogether.
She never expected they’d actually come in handy.
Victoria looked toward the entrance and estimated there were probably forty or fifty bodyguards gathered outside.
Heh, Darell and Julia really pulled out all the stops for this whole spectacle, she thought.
Tie up everyone except these four!” Julia ordered, pointing at Miranda, Nathan, Bater, and Sirena.

Chapter 181
Miranda let out a cold laugh in her heart Looks like Darell’s family isn’t totally stupid, they didn’t leave themselves any barkup at all:
Hater finally relaxed. He’d been worried the whole apology mess was about to fall apart again.
Meanwhile, Calvin’s face went pale. “Just what are you trying to do?”
“Dad, I know you’re under her control. I don’t want you waking up later and regretting handing the Binder Gmily over to Victoria who’s going to wreck everything. Darell said coldly, then barked. “Get moving, tie them up!”
“Yes, sir.” The bodyguards nodded and moved out to tie everyone up.
Seeing they were about to be tied up too, Annie’s three friends demanded loudly, “What the hell are you doing?”
Darell, gritting his teeth through the pain, warned, “This is Binder family business, it has nothing to do with you. But since you insisted on getting involved today, just sit tight and don’t cause trouble
Annic reassured her friends, “Relax, Jackson’s got our back. If anyone tries anything, they’re asking for trouble!”
The three girls looked over at Jackson, saw he was totally unfazed, and nodded in agreement.
Their families were all part of the capital’s elite circles. If Darell and Julia dared mess with them today, they’d make sure their families went after Darell and Julia with everything they’ve got,
Calvin was furious. “You damn fool! Do you even know what you’re doing? Get these bodyguards out of here right now!”
Darell just shrugged. “Sorry, Dad, but since you said you’re not running the Binder family anymore, I don’t have to take orders from you. Julia, go bring in those two experts to examine Dad!”
“Got it.” She quickly got up and rushed toward the hallway.
As the bodyguards closed in, Julian and Thea sneered. “Darell, you’ve got some nerve!”
Darell replied coldly, “As long as you don’t resist, I won’t make things difficult for you.”
Thea gave her son, who was itching to make a move, a stern look and said in a low, commanding voice, “Don’t do anything. Let them tie you up.”
At that, the five middle–aged men finally dropped any thoughts of fighting back.
Everyone else got tied up, so the only ones left standing were Victoria, Jackson, and Ollie, the guy pushing Jackson’s wheelchair.
The two bodyguards sent to tie up Victoria barely brushed against her clothes before their hands went numb, and their palms quickly turned a dark, bruised shade,
They jerked their hands away in terror, staring at their purple–black palms, completely at a loss.
Victoria twirled a silver needle between her fingers and remarked offhandedly, “Don’t come any closer. I’m laced with poison. Get near me and you’ll be poisoned.”
Darell frowned, feeling uneasy. “Back off. Stay away from her.”
The bodyguards who had been about to tie up Victoria, Jackson, and Ollie quickly stepped away, putting plenty of space
between themselves and the trio.

Chapter 181
Darell threatened. Victoria, it’s fine if we can’t tie you up. But if you dare try anything, your parents are the ones who’ll pay the price!
Victoria narrowed her eyes and shot back. “If you touch my parents, your son Simon won’t make it out alive, and Curtis will stay unconscious forever.”
Darell let out a cold snort. ‘Let her struggle for now, he thought.
Before long, Julia returned to the living room with two elderly specialists. She said seriously, “Could you please check and see if he’s been possessed or cursed?”
Then she looked over at the Clark family. “Mrs. Clark and Nathan, could you two act as witnesses for what’s about to happen today?”
Miranda, who was already set on going after Victoria, nodded with obvious satisfaction, “No problem.”
Nathan replied with a simple “Yeah.”
One of the elderly men, dressed in a pale priest robe, stepped forward holding a charm. He burned it right in front of Calvin, then closed his eyes and started chanting some mysterious incantations.
After a long moment, he opened his eyes, shook his head, and turned to Darell and Julia. “Darell, Julia, he isn’t under any spell or curse.”
Julia nodded. “Thanks for your trouble.”
Next, Julia turned to the other elderly man; a spiritual master. “Master Leon, could you check if Calvin has been afflicted with witchcraft?”
She’d already given Master Leon clear instructions. Even if he couldn’t find anything in Calvin, he was supposed to slip one in himself, just to make it seem like Calvin was cursed.
Thinking of her this plan, Julia glared fiercely at Victoria, who was still standing free, and snapped, “If he really has been cursed, you’re done for!”
Victoria smirked. “You guys are totally finished.”
The old man dressed in old robes didn’t say a word. Holding a bunch of bells, he didn’t head for Calvin. Instead, he walked right up to Victoria with a friendly smile. “Hey, long time no see.”
