One of these snakes had bitten Leon’s wife. Because their venom was so unique, she wanted to catch them and use them as new tools for him.

Since she didn’t notice which snake had bitten her, she caught all three.

After Victoria cured his wife’s poisoning, she wanted the three snakes for herself.

Leon warned her that the snakes were still bad–tempered and unfriendly to people, and since they’d bitten someone befor he suggested they should just be put down.

But Victoria was determined to tame them anyway. By the time Leon left the village, the three snakes were already relaxed around Victoria.

Still, he worried Victoria might not be able to keep them in check, so he showed her a few emergency ways to control them if things ever got dangerous, just to make sure she wouldn’t get hurt.

He couldn’t believe how clever and well–behaved the snakes had become.

Victoria was a natural at handling venomous bugs, snakes, and ants. She could easily rival Leon, the old pro himself.

“Yeah, they’re my closest companions now,” Victoria said admiringly.

Greenie stood tall, chest out and head held high, full of pride.

“That’s great, Victoria. With them around, you’ve got an extra layer of protection, and that really puts my mind at ease,” Leon said, clearly relieved.

Victoria bent down, opened her bag, and said, “Alright, Blackie, Whitey, Greenie, let’s get Master Leon home together.”

The three snakes obediently slithered into the bag.

After leaving the Binder family’s house, Jackson swung by the office, handled some paperwork that needed his signature, and then made his way back to the Thornton estate.

Just as Ollie helped Jackson out of the car and got him settled in his wheelchair, another vehicle rolled up and parked right

next to them.

The door opened, and Faye hopped out.

To Jackson’s surprise, Donald and Sibley, who’d been kicked out of the Binder family before, stepped out from the other

side of the car.

Seeing this, Jackson’s gaze grew cold. ‘Vickie hit the nail on the head. I really have to teach Donald a lesson and show him where he actually stands.

When Sibley spotted Jackson sitting in a wheelchair across from her, she shot him a venomous glare, her fingers digging into the armrests like she was about to snap them in half.

Faye glanced at Sibley, whose face was twisted with hatred, then at Jackson, who seemed totally unfazed. She smirked, clearly loving the drama. “What a coincidence, Jackson.”

‘Bringing Sibley back here was definitely the right move, Faye thought. ‘At least it’ll annoy Jackson!

Donald got out of the car, completely ignoring Jackson’s stare. He hurried around the front and went straight to Faye, his face full of gratitude. “Thank you so much. If it weren’t for you, I wouldn’t have been able to pay Sibley’s hospital bill.”

Faye waved it off, looking totally unbothered. “It’s nothing, just 300 thousand dollars. I’m happy to help. I’m not like Jackson, so heartless that he’d cut off your money. Uncle Donald, if you ever need more cash, just let me know. I’ve got your back.”

After all, she knew using Donald and Sibley against Jackson was definitely worth it.

Donald’s face lit up with excitement. “You’re a lifesaver, Faye. Money’s been tight lately. If you don’t mind, could you lend me another 300 thousand dollars to give me some breathing room?”

Faye nodded without a second thought, flashing a smile. “Absolutely, Uncle Donald. I’ll send it over soon.”

Then she turned to Jackson, who was still standing there, and chimed in, “Jackson, Uncle Donald told me about what happened with Sibley. No matter what, she’s his daughter. She messed up, so just give her a warning. No need to finish her off, right?”

Jackson just let out a low chuckle. “You know, you just reminded me. Maybe I should’ve finished her off for good. Then, she wouldn’t be here, strutting around in front of me with you.”

As he spoke, a cold, murderous glint flashed in his otherwise calm eyes.

Sibley clenched her jaw, glaring at Jackson. She shouted, “You think I’m still scared of you? Now that Faye’s got my back, you won’t be able to lay a finger on me ever again!”

Her voice shook with anger, but as she met Jackson’s eyes, she involuntarily flinched. No matter how tough she acted, she just couldn’t hide that instinctive fear.

Just then, Faye chimed in, “Jackson, if you don’t want to admit Sibley is your sister, I actually do want a sister. So I’ve decided to make Sibley my own. Hope you don’t mind?”

Jackson let out a laugh. “If you’re not afraid of bringing trouble on yourself, go ahead. I don’t even want to call Donald as my father, let alone some bastard he had on the side.”

Then Jackson turned to Donald, ignoring the sour look on his face. “Donald, did you forget Grandpa already kicked Sibley out of the Thornton family? And you still have the nerve to bring her back here? Are you jealous you didn’t get kicked out too?”

Donald squeezed Sibley’s hand and shot back, “I came here on purpose, to show you that even without your help. I can still make sure Sibley lives the high life.”

Donald gave Sibley a loving look and gently reassured her, “Don’t worry. I promise I’ll find the right chance to bring you back to the Thornton family for real, with everyone’s approval.”

Sibley nodded sweetly, her eyes full of trust. “Yes, Dad. With Faye helping us, I know you’ll make it happen.”

Then, Donald turned to Faye. “Faye, let me take Sibley to get settled.”

Faye turned to the driver, Reid Lucas, and instructed, “Mr. Lucas, take them to the place I arranged earlier.”

Reid nodded respectfully. “Yes, Miss.”

Once Reid led Donald and Sibley away, Faye turned her attention back to Jackson. She flashed a smile and said, “Come on, Jackson, let’s go!”

Before Jackson could answer, she stepped forward. “It’s been ages since I explored the old Thornton estate. Last time was your engagement party with Victoria, and it was chaos, so I came back today to really feel the atmosphere.”

As she walked up beside Jackson, she glanced down at his nearly flawless face, her smile growing even more smug. “After all, it won’t be long before our family is the only ones left living here.”

Jackson just gave a faint smile. “The weather’s nice today, perfect for daydreaming.”

Faye’s smile faded, her tone turning sharp. “With everything going on, how can you stay so calm? Do you honestly believe you still stand a chartce of inheriting the Thornton family?”
