Chapter 21
Simon looked at her smile–bright on the surface, but sharp with mockery underneath–and said in a cold, flat voice, “You might be my biological sister, but I don’t feel anything for you.
“Angelica is someone I watched grow up. Of course, you can’t compare to her. But if you apologize to Angelica and promise you won’t bother her again, I’ll let this go. For the sake of blood,”
Victoria almost laughed until tears came to her eyes. “Honestly, ever since I came back to the Binder family, everything you people say just gets funnier and funnier.
“If you can grow that kind of attachment to your enemy’s daughter, then how about this? When you have children in the future, I’ll have someone swap them out.
“You’ll raise your enemy’s children instead. And your real children? I’ll throw them into the slums and let them suffer through every kind of hell. How does that sound?”
Simon’s eyes turned ice–cold. It seemed as if he wanted to tear her apart. “You wouldn’t dare.”
Victoria widened her eyes, putting on an innocent look. “Oh? Why are you angry? What does it matter if they’re your biological children or not?
‘Even if they’re your enemy’s kids, you’d still be the one raising them. You’d love them all the same, wouldn’t you? So why does it matter?”
Simon snapped. He grabbed her by the collar, fury blazing in his eyes. “Enough. Angelica is nothing like you.
What happened back then was her mother’s doing. Curtis was right. I never should’ve wasted my time talking to you.”
took a sharp knife from one of the bodyguards and slowly brought it toward Victoria’s face. “Since you’re so insist on making things hard for Angelica, don’t blame me for being cruel.

Just as he was about to strike, his hand suddenly went weak.
The knife slipped from his fingers and hit the ground with a sharp clang.

A strange numbness spread through his body, draining him in an instant. His legs trembled, barely able to hold him up.
Shock filled his eyes. He had no idea what was happening.
Victoria calmly lifted his hand off her collar and brushed the fabric smooth.
“What did you do to me?” Simon hunched over, struggling to stay upright.
The two bodyguards nearby sensed something was wrong and rushed forward. But before they could reach Victoria, their legs gave out. They collapsed heavily onto the ground. Their bodies began to convulse.
They had been poisoned the instant they touched her.
Realizing how bad things had turned, Simon forced out a shout with what little strength he had left. “Something’s wrong!
Get in here. Save me!”
The moment the words left his mouth, his strength gave out completely. He fell hard to the ground, his head striking the

floor with a dull thud.
Stop shouting. Those two useless guards outside are already out cold. No one’s coming to save you fuse like you s Whatever happens here, no one will know, Victoria said.
She crouched down and leaned close to him. I told you. You crushed the herbs 1 worked so hard to grow. Since you won’t pay me back, I’ll just take your foot as compensation?
“You wouldn’t dare! Simon hissed through clenched teeth.
Victoria let out a soft laugh. “Why? At this point, do you really think I’d show you mercy?
She picked up the knife he had dropped, turning it lightly in her hand. “What did you say you were going to do so me Carve up my face?
“You really are vicious. No matter what, I’m still your biological sister. And just because Angelica got slapped once, yous sale! you’d ruin my face.”
She pressed a hand to her chest with mock pain. “That really hurt, you know?
Simon tried to push himself up, planting his palms against the ground. But the moment he put any strength into them, they went limp.
His body was getting weaker and weaker. In the end, he could only lie there, glaring at her with pure hatred
Victoria said lightly, “To make myself feel better, I think I’ll use this knife to cripple your foot today.”
Simon stared at her, his mind still clear even though his bo out of the Binder family immediately.

“Don’t think that just because you’re the real daughter, he’ll protect you. I’m the one he cares about most. Once you’re out, I’ll have plenty of ways to deal with you.”
Victoria waved the knife in her hand, her tone almost thoughtful. “But I don’t need Grai do?”
to back me up. What should I
She tilted her head slightly. “I don’t care about the Binder family’s money at all. I only came back to see how you all were doing. To see if any of you felt even a little guilty about what I went through.”
Her expression turned cold. “But it looks like none of you do. So there’s nothing I can do. I’ll just have to let you experience some pain yourselves. Maybe then you’ll understand what empathy feels like.”
As she spoke, she grabbed Simon by the collar and dragged him across the floor, propping him up against a support.
“Good. No one’s around.” She turned the knife in her hand and crouched in front of him. “When I cripple your foot, feel free to scream if it hurts.”
With a swift motion, she sliced through his dress pants, exposing his calf.
Only then did real fear finally hit Simon. He knew she meant it.
He shouted, “Victoria, I’m warning you. Don’t do anything stupid. We can talk this out. You just want 15 million dollars for those herbs, right? Fine, I’ll pay you right now–”
Before he could finish, a sharp scream escaped his lips.
A burning pain exploded through his calf. Blood seeped from the wound and dripped onto the ground.

Cold sweat broke out across his forehead. As he watched her prepare to drive the knife deeper, his fear only grew, “Victoria, I’ll give you one last chance, Stop now.
“If you really cripple my foot, I swear I’ll never forgive you for the rest of my life-”
His words were cut off by another scream that echoed through the empty factory.
“It hurts, right? You’re screaming way too loud.” Victoria pulled out a thin needle and drove it straight into his neck. “Be quier for a while. You’re giving me a headache.”
At once, Simon lost his voice. He could only lie there, helpless, as she gripped the knife and carved into his calf, weak whimpers trapped in his throat.
The pain was unbearable. Tears spilled from the corners of his eyes, mixing with the sweat on his face as they ran down his checks.
Victoria’s hands never paused. “Hang in there a little longer. I’m good at this. Crippling your foot won’t take long
In the end, Simon blacked out from the pain.
“That’s it? You passed out already?” Victoria clicked her tongue. “How boring.”
She stopped, pulled the needle from his neck, and stabbed it into another point.
Simon jolted awake, his eyes snapping open, only to meet her cold gaze.
“Awake?” Her voice was cold as ice. “You don’t get to pass out this time. I’m not done yet. If you’re unconscious, there’s no point in crippling your foot.”
Even now non couldn’t stop himself from cursing. “Victoria, you’re going to pay for this. When my parents find out, they’ll m
you wish you were dead.”
