He was sprinting down the hallway so fast that he didn’t see Annie, who had just spun around from the Rio Private Room, and ran smack into her.

Once she sat down, she grabbed the cup Jackson had slid over and downed it in one go.

‘Did something happen? You looked like you were about to murder Nathan out there, Jackson said, watching her drain the cup. He refilled it for her.

Victoria tapped her fingers on the rim of the cup. “Honestly, I really do want to take a knife to that bastard Nathan.”

Mara had dug up some shady stuff on the Clark family, but most of their sketchy operations had already been covered up or gotten rid of. There just wasn’t enough concrete evidence to nail them.

Even if they exposed what they had, it might stir up some trouble for the Clark family, but it wouldn’t deal a fatal blow

The few things that could actually hurt the Clarks had already been exposed by Jackson, which got Nathan’s uncle thrown in jail.
