Curtis sensed something was off and didn’t bother to explain any further on the phone. He just said, “Forget it for now,” and hung up.

He set his phone aside and drove straight to the apartment complex where Simon was staying.

When Curtis finally got to Simon’s apartment, he rang the doorbell, but nobody answered for ages.

‘Hey, Simon! It’s me–open the door!” Curtis shouted.

Getting frustrated, Curtis stopped messing with the doorbell and started banging on the door with his fist.

No matter how hard he knocked, there was still no sound or movement from inside.

The woman from the apartment next door opened her door, but when she saw Curtis, her complaint got stuck in her throat –she was caught off guard by how handsome he was.
