Chapter 291
Victoria just let out a cold laugh at Mrs Tooth’s promise to Mrs Tooth, that laugh felt like a blast of icy wind on a winter night making her shiver uncontrollably
“Let you go? After all the things you’ve done–just like your mother did–you really think you can walk away unharmed?” Victoria’s voice was ty and merciless
Mrs. Tooth’s eves widened in disbelief. “Ms. Binder, you’re going back on your word!” she cried, her voice trembling with desperation and anger
Victoria’s hips curled into a mocking smile. “Someone as rotten as you actually believes in honor? Please. I only said I’d think about letting you go. Well, I’ve thought it over. People like you deserve to suffer every single day.”
Mrs. Tooth’s face went ghostly pale. She realized her pleas were useless–Victoria had never intended to let her go.
Victoria! Don’t you dare take advantage of my mercy! If you so much as touch me, you’re digging your own grave! I work for Nathan Clark–he’s as cold–blooded as they come. If he finds out you kidnapped me, he’ll make sure there’s nothing left of you to bury!”
Mrs. Tooth finally lost all pretense, her face twisting into something monstrous as she screamed at Victoria, her voice dripping with venom.
But Victoria stayed perfectly calm, completely unmoved by Mrs. Tooth’s sudden outburst and vicious threats.
She just kept her eyes on the road, letting the tightly bound Mrs. Tooth in the back seat rant and rave like a shrew. Victoria didn’t even spare her a single word.
The car sped through the streets and finally stopped in a remote, secluded spot.
Mara had been waiting there for a long time.
As soon as she saw Victoria, Mara walked up quickly and called out, “Boss.”
Victoria gave her orders in a cold, indifferent tone. “Lock this poisonous hag up. Break her arms and legs. Just make sure she’s still breathing–I’m not done experimenting on her yet.”
Mara nodded. “Got it, Boss.”
Mrs. Tooth finally realized just how dire her situation was. She stopped cursing and stared at Victoria and Mara in terror, her voice trembling as she begged, “Ms. Binder, please, let me go! I know I was wrong. I promise, I’ll never scam another innocent girl again…”
But Victoria was completely unmoved. After Mrs. Tooth was dragged out of the car, she said coldly, “Tell that to the girls you deceived. See if any of them will forgive you.”
Mara yanked Mrs. Tooth out of the car and dragged her into the alley without a second thought.
Mrs. Tooth’s pleas and curses echoed in the alley, but Mara quickly silenced her.
With a sharp crack, Mrs. Tooth let out a blood–curdling scream as two of her front teeth were knocked out. Blood gushed from her mouth, her curses drowned in the crimson mess.
Mara pulled her fist back. “Say another word, and I’ll rip out the rest of your teeth.”
Mara’s stare was sharp enough to make Mrs. Tooth flinch. Mrs. Tooth couldn’t even meet her eyes; the anger in her gaze

But Victoria didn’t even spare het a glance Mara had already grabbed Mrs. Tooth by the hair and was dragging her away
Victoria turned and got back into the car
Hel hul Victoria mused to herself
Td much rather be the one sending scum like her straight to hell,‘ she sneered inwardly.
Night had fallen.
In the Midnight Blue.
After getting a call from Angelica, Nathan’s assistant leaned in and whispered in his ear, “Boss, Angelica just called. Mrs. Tooths gone missing. She hasn’t answered any of her calls.”
Nathan’s hand paused as he held his wine glass. “Bring Angelica to me.”
Yes, sir.” the assistant replied.
An hour later.
Angelica was brought to Nathan. She tried to sit beside him, but his icy glare made her freeze, so she stood meekly in front
of him.
Nathan asked coldly, “What happened to Mrs. Tooth?”
Angelica explained honestly, “Mrs. Tooth left the facility to go after a woman who escaped. Now, that woman is missing too.”
Nathan’s gaze was deep and impossible to read.
Who in all of Benwig City would dare touch my people so brazenly?‘ he wondered.
it’s either Jackson or Victoria–no one else.
Doesn’t matter which one it is. Those two are tied together now–if one sinks, the other goes down with them.
Nathan crushed the wine glass in his hand, crimson wine dripping down his broad palm.
Angelica rushed over. “Boss, is your hand alright?”
She reached for a tissue to wipe his hand, but Nathan cut her off with an icy command. “Get out.”
Angelica’s hand paused mid–air. She forced a smile. “Okay… I’ll let your assistant handle it, then.”
After Angelica left the private room, Nathan asked his assistant in a low, dangerous voice, “Any news on those two?”
The assistant handed him a clean handkerchief. “Not yet.”
He paused, then said, “But if you need to vent your anger, I’ve got some news. Stephen–the lead actor candidate who was

Jum
Nathan’s eves grew even darker. He took the handkerchief and slowly wiped the wine from his hand. “So that’s how it is Knowing Brightstar and Gale are sworn enemies, he still had the guts to go straight to Victoria. Guess it’s time to teach
someone a lesson
Stephen had just rolled out of bed when his phone buzzed with an unknown number.
He puked up–and couldn’t believe it was Victoria calling.
Stephen, text me your address. I’ll swing by at noon to see how your uncle’s doing,” she said.
“Okay” Stephen was so excited he could barely sit still.
As soon as he hung up, Stephen sent his address to Victoria.
After sending the message, the thought that Victoria would be coming over soon made him a little nervous. Determined to make sure everything was perfect for her visit, he threw on some clothes and rushed downstairs to the supermarket, loading up his cart with groceries and supplies.
By 12:30, the doorbell was ringing.
The doorbell chimed.
Stephen quickly set down the fruit plate he’d just finished slicing and rushed over to open the door, apron still tied around his waist.
But as soon as he opened the door, his excitement crashed and burned–it wasn’t Victoria waiting for him, but a face he recognized instantly.
Daniel Lopez.
The director he’d once punched right in front of the whole crew.
Stephen’s face went ghostly pale, his whole body trembling as he instinctively tried to close the door.
But he was a step too slow. The two thugs flanking Daniel moved in a flash, grabbing the door and preventing him from closing it.
Stephen’s face was ashen. He knew things weren’t going to end well for him today.
Daniel’s lips curled into a cold, mocking smile. He slowly reached out and yanked the door open, fixing Stephen with a venomous glare. “What are you hiding for, Stephen? You were so bold when you punched me on set–now you look like a rat scurrying in the gutter.”
Stephen clenched his jaw and stayed silent.
He wasn’t afraid of Daniel; he just didn’t want to drag his uncle into this mess while he was still unconscious.
After all, there was no way he could take on all these guys by himself.
“Mr. Clark, this is Stephen,” Daniel said, turning with utmost respect to address the man standing by the stairs.
