Chapter 326
‘Did Timothy really kill someone?‘ Victoria wondered.

From Victoria’s vantage point, she could see a thick layer of snow blanketing the old tree outside her window.
Mara continued, “Two years ago, Timothy got drunk and crashed his car, killing a family of three. The baby was barely a month old. Both parents were only children, so the only ones left behind were their elderly
parents.
“The story blew up online for a while, but Timothy’s dad, Dustin Lowe, paid to bury the news and pulled strings to make it all disappear.
“The four grandparents ran into dead ends everywhere trying to get justice. Two of them passed away from depression just six months ago.”
Her voice, already cold, turned even icier. “According to insiders, Timothy never showed a shred of remorse.
“After the accident, he even joked with his buddies that the baby’s skull was really tough–said the neck snapped but the skull stayed intact.”
Victoria’s eyes burned with murderous intent. ‘What a bastard,‘ she thought.
“Is that so? Now I’m really curious. Let’s see if Timothy’s bones are as tough as he thinks. Maybe he should try surviving a car crash himself,” Victoria said coldly.
Mara asked, “So, you’re not planning to take Timothy down by the book?”
Victoria’s eyes flashed with killing intent. “Prison’s too good for him. I want him to suffer, pay back a hundred times over. Mrs. Tooth’s yours, so let her handle it. When it’s done, let her take the fall and end up in prison.”
“Got it,” Mara replied.
But before anything else, Victoria had to give Timothy a taste of her wrath–only then could she start to cool her anger.
“Where’s Timothy right now?” she asked.
“He’s in a private VIP suite at Midnight Blue with Nathan,” Mara replied.
“Good,” Victoria said.
After hanging up, Victoria’s gaze was ice–cold. Anyone who dared to harm a child–if she found out, she’d make sure they never got away with it.
Just then, Jackson’s video call popped up.
Victoria answered, and the first thing she said was, “Hey, Jack, sorry, but I can’t video chat tonight. I need to head over to Midnight Blue–got some business to take care of.”

At nine that night at Midnight Blue, Lexi got a call from Nathan and hurried over to the suite, only to find Angelica already there.
The suite was warm, so even though it was the middle of winter, Angelica was wearing just a sexy black slip dress.
Her face had pretty much healed, and the scars were barely visible now.
After sitting down next to Nathan, Lexi set her bag aside and wrapped her arm around his, pretending to be annoyed. “Nathan, why is Angelica here? You know I don’t like her.”
Nathan didn’t say anything, but Angelica jumped in. “Lexi, don’t misunderstand. Mr. Clark just took me in and let me work for him.”
Lexi gave a cold snort. “Did I ask you?”
Angelica smiled awkwardly. “I just didn’t want you to think the wrong thing.”
Ever since she killed Howard and Nathan covered it up, then spilled the beans about Lexi and Victoria working together–only for Nathan to give her a brutal kick–she’d gotten smart. When it came to Lexi, she knew better than to say a single word.
Whether Lexi was actually involved with Victoria or not, to Nathan, Lexi was his woman–nobody else got to comment on her, period.
Maybe Nathan figured he was the only one who could handle Lexi.
Finally, Nathan spoke up. “She’s just here to give me a work update.”
It was just a straightforward answer.
“A work update? Nathan, what exactly is she doing for you now?” Lexi said, feigning jealousy. “I don’t like her. She looks like she can’t sit still–who knows if she’s trying to make a move on you.”
Timothy, sitting across on the sofa, worried Nathan might get annoyed, quickly chimed in. “Lexi, seriously, you know what kind of guy Mr. Clark is.
“Even if he’s got a few girls on the side, that’s just normal. Just focus on being his queen and keeping him happy, that’s all you need to do.”
Angelica gave an innocent smile. “Lexi, you really misunderstood. I’m not the Binder family heiress anymore. Mr. Clark wouldn’t even notice me.
“I’m just here to work for him, to repay him. Honestly, I believe Mr. Clark only cares about you. No other woman stands a chance with him.”
Zachary grinned. “Angelica, you’re so understanding it almost makes my heart ache.”
Angelica gave a wry smile. “I know my place. I’m not some rich heiress anymore, and I’m definitely not the

Zachary couldn’t resist saying, “Mr. Clark, if you’re not interested in Angelica, why not let me have her?”
Angelica still had the looks, after all. She used to be the number one talent in Benwig City—even if she’d fallen on hard times, she’d still be fun to have around.
Angelica glanced at Nathan, her voice still gentle. “If Mr. Clark’s okay with it, I’ll be yours, Mr. Davis.”
Nathan glanced at Lexi and said, “Suit yourself.”
Zachary looked thrilled.
Angelica’s smile froze for a moment, but she quickly bounced back, pretending nothing had happened.
She walked over to Zachary and snuggled into his arms. “Mr. Davis, from now on, I’m yours.”
The other lackeys laughed. “Congrats, Zachary–you finally got the girl.”
Lexi glanced at the crowd, all smirking and acting sleazy. She felt sick to her stomach–every single person here made her skin crawl.
Zachary, riding high on his ego, sneered, “Angelica, now that you’re mine, when Victoria loses our bet, I’ll have you sit right on my lap and watch that slut get down and kiss my shoes.”
“For real? Zachary, that’s just perfect,” Angelica replied, putting on an act like she was thrilled to be favored.
Just then, Nathan’s assistant’s phone rang. After answering, he leaned in and whispered, “Mr. Clark, downstairs say Victoria’s here at Midnight Blue, and she’s asking about Timothy.”

Nathan frowned. “She’s here alone? Jackson didn’t come with her?”
The assistant nodded. “Yeah, Jackson didn’t come with her.”
Nathan’s gaze darkened.
‘What’s she up to now?‘ he wondered. ‘Doesn’t she know Midnight Blue is my turf?
‘How dare she show up here alone, looking for one of my guys?‘
Timothy heard the assistant and was visibly startled. “What? That bitch Victoria’s actually come to Midnight Blue looking for me?”
Lexi was on edge.
She thought, ‘Is Victoria really here to follow through on her promise to take care of Timothy?
‘But showing up at Midnight Blue at night to start something? That’s really not a smart move, she thought.
Zachary raised his eyebrows in surprise. “Timothy, what the hell did you do to get Victoria to show up here herself?”

Angelica, curled up in Zachary’s lap, could barely contain her glee. “That little bitch Victoria, coming to Midnight Blue alone for Timothy? Is she seriously asking for trouble?‘ she thought.
Timothy was confused. ‘Is she really here just because I exposed Stephen and Brian online? She actually has the guts to come to Midnight Blue all by herself, in the middle of the night?‘ he thought, a bit incredulous.
He said, “Mr. Clark, this is your turf. If Victoria dares to cause trouble here, she’s got no respect for you at all.”
“Let her come to the suite and find me. I’d love to have a proper face–off with Victoria and see if she’s got any real guts,” he added.
Nathan, his face unreadable, told his assistant, “Tell the guys downstairs. Let Victoria know Timothy’s right here in this suite, then bring her up.”
