Chapter 335
In a secluded corner of the city, there was an exclusive private dining spot. The place was so low–key, only a select few even knew it existed.
At that moment, Nathan was having dinner with a big shot at one of the tables. But the second he hung up the phone, his face turned so dark it looked like a storm was about to break.
“This isn’t the first time.‘ Nathan cursed inwardly. ‘Victoria has played me again.
Victoria, the woman he hated to the core, had cunningly used Mrs. Tooth as a scapegoat. Not only that, she’d managed to get rid of Timothy and forced Nathan to personally put pressure on Justin.
Even though Justin acted obedient, Nathan knew deep down that Justin was already holding a grudge against
him.
The more Nathan thought about it, the angrier he got. ‘That woman’s methods are downright vicious. he fumed.
Just then, the big shot across from him slowly set down his knife and fork, grabbed a clean napkin, and wiped his mouth with a touch of elegance.
After that, he looked up at Nathan and said softly, “Nathan, Secret Garden is our playground. Not just anyone gets to join us.”
Nathan quickly replied, “Of course not. I handpicked everyone myself. That’s not going to happen.”
The big shot raised his wine glass, took a slow, elegant sip, and continued in a laid–back tone. “You’re stressing over that woman, Victoria, aren’t you?”
He didn’t wait for Nathan to reply, just kept going, “Victoria’s been all over the place lately. I heard your company’s got a new show in the works, and they’re even bringing in Brian–the guy I told everyone to blacklist.”
Nathan tensed up, but quickly promised, “Don’t worry, she won’t be a problem for you. I’ll make sure of it.”
“That’s what I like to hear, Nathan. I know you won’t let Victoria show up in front of me,” the big shot nodded, satisfied with Nathan’s attitude.
He set down his wine glass, stood up, walked over, and gave Nathan’s shoulder a gentle pat. “Nathan, if the Clark family wants to go legit and really make it in Benwig City, you’re still gonna need me.”
Once the big shot left, Nathan grabbed his wine glass and downed the whole thing in one go, his frustration boiling over.
“Any word on who’s backing Victoria?” Nathan asked his assistant, Finn, who was trailing behind him.
Finn replied, “No news yet, Mr. Clark.”
‘Maybe Jackson was the one pulling the strings behind Mrs. Tooth taking out Timothy, just like he did when he got Bater thrown in jail, Nathan thought.

Nathan said coldly, “Victoria’s birthday party is about to start. Tell the guy who kidnapped Julia to make arrangements for her to get ready to leave.”
“Yes, Mr. Clark,” Finn replied.
Nathan crushed the wine glass in his hand. ‘Let’s see if Victoria can survive this mess again. Let’s see just how much she’s got in her,‘ he thought.

Once she was done treating Jackson, Victoria returned directly to Brightstar Entertainment. She didn’t accompany Jackson to Stephen’s house for Gary’s treatment.
Gary’s illness was different from Jackson’s leg injury. His condition didn’t need daily attention.
As soon as she got back to her office, Victoria called Mara. “Did you grab the dashcam footage from Mrs. Tooth’s car?”
“Yeah, got it. Plus, I picked up all the videos the bystanders shot that day,” Mara replied.
“Perfect. Tomorrow, find the right moment and drop those videos online,” Victoria instructed.
“Will do.” Mara said.
After hanging up, Victoria grabbed her mouse and, using a special network, managed to dig up the photos of Timothy’s car crash that had already been scrubbed from the internet.
Timothy was a bloody mess in every shot–nothing but mangled flesh and gore.
Victoria let out a cold laugh. “Guess his skull wasn’t as tough as he thought.”
Then she checked X for the trending topic about Timothy this morning.
People online were posting the latest updates.
[Holy crap. This is wild. Is this karma or what? Timothy, the son of Gale Entertainment’s chairman, just got exposed for killing a family of three in a hit–and–run two years ago, and now he’s dead in a car crash today.]
[Seriously? He’s dead? He died in the crash?]
[Yeah, my friend was driving down Asteria Avenue, heading to the airport, and saw the whole thing. Damn, it was brutal. Timothy’s head got smashed to pieces, brains everywhere.]
[Yeah, it’s brutal, but honestly, he had it coming. Don’t forget, when he killed that family of three, he was joking with his crew about how the baby’s skull wasn’t tough enough.]
[Guess his own skull wasn’t all that tough either.]
[But seriously, isn’t this car crash a little too convenient? Feels more like a hit job than an accident.]
[Yeah, it was totally intentional. I heard the driver confessed. He did it on purpose to get revenge for his

friend.]
[So that’s how it is. Guess karma really does come back around.]
Victoria closed X, leaned back in her chair, and shut her eyes.
‘Hope those three can find peace now,‘ Victoria thought.

Ophelia refused to let her husband Justin send Timothy’s body straight to the crematorium. Despite Justin’s protests, she insisted on bringing their son home and laying him out on the bed.
She had someone carefully tend to Timothy’s body, then covered him with a blanket and scattered fresh flowers over him.
As she stared at her son’s face–patched up as best as they could, but still a mess and barely recognizable–the tears she’d finally managed to hold back started falling again.
Just then, her phone rang.
Ophelia wiped her tears and answered the call from Ted.
“Ma’am, we’ve found out that Mrs. Tooth is one of Mr. Clark’s people,” Ted said.
“Nathan? How could it be him?” It suddenly clicked for Ophelia. ‘No wonder Justin didn’t want me to keep investigating Timothy’s death,’ she thought.
“Mrs. Tooth is definitely one of Nathan’s people, but according to the training agency, she disappeared for a while and only resurfaced today,” Ted explained.
Ophelia’s gaze darkened. ‘Now that both my son and my husband are working for the Clark family, there’s no way Nathan would openly have his own people murder my son.
‘Someone must be pulling strings behind the scenes.’
From what Ophelia knew about Lexi, there was no way she had the guts or the brains to pull off something
like this.
So, by process of elimination, it had to be Victoria, the one who’d targeted her son just last night.
Ophelia bent down, her fingers trembling as she gently touched Timothy’s ruined face.
Her voice broke as she whispered, “Timothy, don’t worry. I won’t let your death be in vain. I swear, I’ll make Victoria pay with her life. She’ll go down with you.”

Back at the Binder family, during dinner, Victoria noticed her mom kept hesitating, like she wanted to say something but just couldn’t get the words out. So Victoria spoke up first, “Mom, is there something you want to talk to me about?”

Hector let out a sigh and spoke up for his wife. “Your mom wants to know if you had anything to do with Timothy’s death.”
