Victoria spun her pen, leaned against her desk, and smiled calmly. “Everyone has their own path in life. You don’t have to force yourself to do anything.

“If you join my company, I’ll make sure you get the best resources to become the person you want to be.”

“Thank you, Ms. Binder. I’ll let you get back to work.” Lexi said, then hung up.

Victoria put down her pen, grabbed her phone, and saw a Facebook message from Curtis. [Is Timothy’s death related to you?]

He even threw in a worried emoji.

Victoria rolled her eyes, not even tempted to reply. Why would she ever talk to him about something this sensitive?

Meanwhile, in his rented place, Curtis saw that his message to Victoria had gone unanswered. So, he decided to head over to Gale Entertainment.

He was supposed to just wait for news about his new song dropping, but now everything was up in the air. Timothy, who managed his projects, was dead.

He had no idea if his new song would still be released on schedule.

Before Timothy died, Victoria had gone to Midnight Blue to see him.

Even though the power outage meant there was no surveillance or video evidence to prove Victoria cracked Timothy’s skull, everyone figured she was the culprit.

He was just about to step out when he heard Sirena call out from behind. “Curtis, are you coming back for dinner tonight?”

“Depends on how things go,” Curtis replied, then shut the door.

Inside, Sirena turned her gaze to Darell, her eyes full of hatred. “Darell, are you sure you can really take down Victoria this time?”

“Just stick with me and help me get back into the Binder family, and this time, we’re definitely gonna pull it off,” Darell said, his eyes just as fierce.

“Darell, if you want me to trust you, then tell me your plan. Otherwise, I’m afraid I’m just a pawn you’ll toss aside when you’re done with me,” Sirena said, looking cautious. After getting burned once, she wasn’t about to let it happen again.

Darell shot her a look, then after a moment of silence, said, “Fine. We’re both in the same boat now. No point hiding anything from you.”

So, he laid out his plan for Sirena.

Sirena’s eyes went wide in disbelief.

She said, “Darell, you’re seriously ruthless. Just to get back into the Binder family and take back the family business, you’re even willing to sacrifice Julia’s life?”

Before Darell could say anything, she continued, “But if you really can kick Victoria out of the Binder family, I’m all in.

“Tomorrow, I’ll do exactly what you said. I’ll go to Dad and tell him I know the Clark family’s business secrets about framing Aurelion Medical.”

When Curtis got to Gale Entertainment, he went straight to Marty’s office and got right to the point. “Marty, is what they’re saying online true? Did Sibley really… die?”

As soon as Marty realized what Curtis was asking, he quickly set down his mouse, got up from his desk, and closed the door. He looked grim. “No doubt about it. Sibley’s really dead.”

Curtis’s heart skipped a beat.

Marty glanced back at him with a hint of sarcasm. “Heh, I know what’s on your mind. You’re thinking your sister Victoria did it, right?”

Curtis didn’t answer. He just asked, “Will my new song still be released as planned?”

Only two days left.

The day after tomorrow was Victoria’s birthday. If nothing went wrong, her new song would definitely drop on her birthday.

Marty lowered his voice. “You’d better hope. If what they’re saying online is true and Sibley really isn’t Mr. Lowe’s biological son, then Mr. Lowe might not take his anger out on you. Your song might still get released as planned.”

Curtis pressed his lips together, saying nothing.

After his talk with Marty, Curtis headed back to his rented place, feeling uneasy.

Dareil was on the phone with someone. “Alright, tonight we’ll create a chance for her to come back home…”

Sirena was in the kitchen, having just finished the first dish–tomato beef–and brought it out.

When she saw Curtis, she immediately smiled. “Curtis, you’re back.”
