At the Goldenwood Villa of the Binder family, Alonso waited until the last guest, Oliver, arrived before notifying Hector using the walkie–talkie.
“Mr. Binder, all the guests are here.” Alonso said.
“Alright, thank you,” Hector replied.
After hanging up. Hector turned to look at his daughter, Victoria, and his wife, Daisy, in the mirror. “All the guests are already here.” he said.
Daisy put down the lip gloss and gazed at Victoria’s face. “Alright, my girl. You look so stunning”
Victoria flashed a dazzling smile. “That’s because the dress you designed and your makeup are stunning.”
“No, it’s because you’re beautiful just the way you are,” Daisy said, holding her hand. “Alright, let’s head downstairs.” Hector walked over and took Victoria’s other hand.
Victoria said, “By the way, Dad, could you tell Alonso if Julia shows up, he should stop her at the door? Let her in after the guests at my birthday party have eaten and drunk their fill.”
Hector looked confused for a moment. “Isn’t Julia coming with Darell and the others?” he asked.
Victoria replied, “No.”
Hector said, “I know it’s probably a bit late to ask, but Victoria, are you hiding something from your mom and me again?”
Victoria replied, “Honestly, it’s hard to lay it all out right now, as most of it’s just my hunch. But what I do know is that Darell has teamed up with Nathan, and they’re planning to pull off something massive at my birthday party. And Julia’s the trigger for all of this.”
She paused, then continued, “Julia disappeared for a while, but I managed to track her down. I got her to work with me, so she could see what Darell’s really like, and help me totally crush him.”
“I can’t believe their whole family still won’t let you go!” Daisy’s anger turned into worry. “Julia puts her husband and son above everything. Would she really be willing to cooperate with you?”
Victoria said, “She has her own pride. Since she believes in Darell so much, she’ll cooperate with me to prove me wrong.”
Hector said seriously, “Alright, I’ll inform Alonso.”
With that, he picked up the walkie–talkie. “Alonso, keep watching the front gate. If Julia shows up, stop her and wait for my instruction before letting her in.”
“Got it.” Alonso replied.
After giving the instructions, Hector let out a sigh. He realized he had been too kind back then, never fighting or competing, just letting his younger brother Darell take it for granted that everything in the Binder family was rightfully his.
“That’s why, even now, Darell still refuses to give up and is itching to stir up trouble. Just as Victoria said, this time, let’s crush Darell once and for all, Hector thought to himself.

“Dad.” After Oliver arrived, he headed straight for the table where his father, Stephan, was seated. The villagers shuffled 1/4

around to make space so he could sit right next to Stephan.
“Oliver, you’ve gotten so tall now. It’s been so long since you last visited us,” one of the villagers said.

“I was busy writing my novel; my readers kept pushing me for updates, and I couldn’t skip a single one. But once this is done. I promise I’ll visit all of you,” Oliver said with a smile.
“You said it, Oliver; we’ll hold you to that,” another villager chimed in.
Amid the laughter and conversation, the music in the living room faded out. After a moment, a fresh track kicked in. Everyone who’d heard it before knew right away; it was Victoria’s new song.
Curtis’s expression grew even darker. “Jackson, listen! This is Vickie’s new song, right? It’s amazing! How does she come up with something this stunning?” Annie exclaimed.
Jackson chuckled and said. “Because Vickie’s a truly talented girl.”
At Midnight Blue, Angelica’s face went pale when she heard Jackson’s words; her fingers unconsciously clenching.
Is that so? Jackson really doesn’t see me as truly talented?‘ Angelica thought, bitterness welling up deep down.
Annie glanced at Curtis, who was looking pretty grim, and said, “Didn’t someone say he was going to stand at the top of the world?”
Curtis, clearly the target of her jab, stayed silent because he didn’t know how to retort. He suddenly regretted coming here tonight. Why must I set myself up to be humiliated like this?‘ he thought.
Darell said coldly. “That’s enough, little Thornton girl. Why are you so pushy? Watch out what you say, or you might end up in trouble.”
Back then, he would have been careful around the Thorntons. But now that he’d thrown his lot in with the Clarks, who were bitter rivals with the Thorntons, he had no reason to be afraid of them anymore.
Jackson chimed in at this moment. “Is that so? What trouble could my sister possibly end up in?” Although his tone was calm and casual, it carried an overwhelming sense of pressure.
Simon knew that feeling all too well. When Victoria broke his leg, and he came face–to–face with Jackson for the first time, he couldn’t even look Jackson in the eye.
Annie turned to Jackson, feeling so touched she almost cried. Jackson actually stood up for me; he’s really got my back,’ she thought. Jackson is just too awesome!‘ she couldn’t help but think.
Darell was about to throw out another warning, but when he met Jackson’s eyes, calm on the surface yet carrying a lethal threat, his throat constricted, and he couldn’t get a single word out.
‘That Jackson!‘ Darell thought, feeling a cold shiver run down his spine. ‘Even though he’s clearly disabled, the aura he gives off is still formidable and not to be underestimated.
Gerry also spoke up, his voice icy. “I didn’t realize that a stray dog from the Binder family would still dare to speak to my granddaughter like this.”
Annie jumped in right away. “Grandpa, it’s because their whole family’s got nothing left now, so they’re not afraid of anything since they now have nothing to lose.”
Gerry sneered. “Not afraid because they have nothing to lose? Is that so?” It was obvious that he was making a threat, plain and simple.

Afraid that Darell would drag the whole Binder family down with him, Calvin quickly apologized. “I’m sorry, Mr. Thornton. I failed in parenting.”
Jackson smiled warmly. “Mr. Binder, you don’t need to apologize for him. Maybe you should start preparing for the day you have to bury your own son because your son and his whole family are really good at digging their own graves.”
Calvin’s expression froze at Jackson’s words. Darell stayed silent, his face grim. “Sorry to keep you all waiting,” Victoria’s clear, melodious voice suddenly rang out from upstairs.
The guests looked up to see Victoria gracefully descending the stairs. She wore a custom evening dress designed by Daisy, a stunning blend of vintage elegance and luxurious brocade, perfectly showing off her graceful figure.
Her dark brown hair was styled into a meticulous updo, adorned with a pearl hairpin carefully selected by Daisy and specially acquired at auction from Luxeon Auctioneers.
Daisy and Hector each held one of her hands, making her look just like a princess treasured in their palms. “Happy birthday, Vickic!” Stephan was the first to call out. Following that, under his lead, the villagers all chimed in, each calling out their own birthday wishes to Victoria.

At Midnight Blue, Angelica watched the live stream of Victoria’s birthday party. She was so jealous she felt like she could grind her teeth to dust.
They’re nothing but a bunch of country bumpkins! Angelica scoffed to herself. She could only comfort herself this way to make herself feel better.
Just wait till these bumpkins have pigged out on the party food. Let’s see if they’re still grinning then!‘ Angelica sneered inwardly.
The happier you’re laughing now,
the more miserable you’ll be in a moment!‘ she thought, her jealousy flaring even hotter.
Just then, Hey took a call and leaned in to whisper to Nathan, “Julia’s already at the Binder residence entrance.”
Nathan swirled his wine glass, his gaze sharp and vicious. “Alright, the real fun’s about to begin.” Lexi, by the side, nervously tightened her grip on her wine glass.

At the front gate of the Binder family residence, Julia hopped out of the taxi and rushed toward the entrance. She had washed herself clean, so she wasn’t dirty anymore. But her cheeks were still sunken, her cheekbones jutting out, giving her face a harsh look.
When she got to the gate, Julia yelled toward the guards, “Open the door! I’m here to attend my daughter’s birthday party!”
