Chapter 396
Geoffrey didn’t see Victoria’s move coming. One kick from her, and he was down on his knees. Not only was he caught off guard, but even Daisy and Hector were completely stunned.
They were both left wondering what had just happened. The couple exchanged glances, confused by the latest drama Victoria had caused.
They wondered why Geoffrey, who had just recovered, was suddenly being targeted by her.
They grumbled that it wasn’t a fair or honorable fight, but ultimately dismissed it; after all, with someone like Geoffrey involved, honor didn’t seem to matter.
Victoria, what are you doing?” Geoffrey, still on his knees, had his eyes turn red instantly, his voice so pitiful that it could make him cry instantly.
Victoria kicked him right in the face, knocking him flat on his back. Daisy and Hector were speechless, thinking it was too brutal to watch.
The couple didn’t say a word. They just kept their heads down and ate breakfast, acting like nothing was going
Victoria bent down and gave his smug face a couple of hard pats. “What, you think just having breakfast with us and chatting with my mom is enough to make up for what
you did?”
She continued, “This is what atonement really means.”
Not at all what Geoffrey expected. He suddenly couldn’t figure out what Victoria was up to anymore.
Still, he kept his composure and flashed his best innocent smile. “If this helps you and uncle and aunt blow off some steam, then…”
“Ouch!” Geoffrey yelped. Before he could finish his sentence, Victoria socked him hard in the face, the pain so sharp he almost had spit flying from his mouth.
Victoria rolled her fist and cracked her knuckles. “No need for words. Since you came knocking, I’ll give you a real taste of hospitality.”
Geoffrey finally looked genuinely scared. “Victoria, what are you planning to do?”
“You really don’t seem like you want to leave, huh? Alright, I’ll make it happen for you. You’re not going anywhere; you’re staying with the Binder family until you’re fully healed,” Victoria said.
She practically spat out “until you’re fully healed,” putting extra emphasis on every word. It was obvious she was hinting that he’d never actually get better.
Geoffrey wasn’t dumb; he figured out Victoria’s game in a flash. If he stayed with the Binder family and Victoria kept roughing him up every single day, his injuries would never heal, not in a million years,
“N–no, that’s okay… Victoria, I’ll find my mom… Ouch!” Geoffrey stammered. Before he could even finish, Victoria socked him in the other cheek.

Victoria admired her handiwork with a satisfied grin. “There we go, both cheeks are nice and swollen. You look way better like this!”
“Victoria…” Geoffrey gritted his teeth through the pain in his cheeks.
Looking at his puffy face, Victoria lowered her voice, “Don’t speak. If you’re here to atone, then do it right. Don’t tell me you’re ready to quit after just a couple of punches. It’s way too late to regret it now.”
With that, she started wailing on him, left and right, until his face was so swollen and bruised that even Sirena wouldn’t recognize her own son.
“Victoria…” Geoffrey whimpered.
Victoria raised her hand and brought it down hard. “Don’t call my name! Just plead!”
“Please, Victoria.” Geoffrey mumbled.
“Please, my ass!” Victoria snapped. Every time Geoffrey tried to speak, Victoria cut him off with a punch.
When he was finally too worn out to say a word, Victoria gently patted his swollen cheek and said softly, “My dear cousin, just stay here and slowly make it up to your mom.”
With that, Victoria stood up and instructed, “Alonso, take my cousin back to Silverwood Villa and help him recover properly. He can’t leave until he’s fully healed. If anything happens to him, I’ll have a hard time explaining it to my aunt and his family.”
“Yes. Ms. Binder,” Alonso replied. Seeing that Hector and Daisy had no objections, he had his men help Geoffrey up and take him away.
After Alonso took Geoffrey away, Daisy said, a bit embarrassed, “Victoria, I was actually worried you were really going to keep him here…”
Victoria wiped her hands clean and sat back down. “Of course I’m keeping him here. Didn’t I promise him?”
Daisy gave a dry laugh. “That’s not keeping him here, that’s straight–up locking him up.”
“Whatever, same thing.” Victoria replied, totally unfazed.
But seeing how calm Victoria was, Daisy finally stopped worrying. Still a bit shaken, Daisy said, “Victoria, honestly, if he kept staying here with me, I might’ve actually started thinking Geoffrey was a good kid.
“The moment that thought popped into my head, it scared me. If he’s really just faking it to get revenge on you, then he’s way too convincing.”
Victoria asked, “Mom, what do you mean?”
Daisy explained, “These past few days, after both of you went to work, Geoffrey would come chat with me. At first, I was pretty wary of him, watching his every move. But he was really patient. You know, with your encouragement, I started getting back into fashion design.
“Whenever I was focused on my work, he would stay nearby at a respectful distance, quietly doing his own

thing. Like the other day, I was designing a forest–inspired dress, and he was quietly assembling a detailed forest cabin model.
“It actually sparked a lot of inspiration for me. Yesterday, I was reading a book about marine life, and he was beside me, sketching sea creatures with watercolors.
“Whenever I looked up or took a break, I’d see him there, and it gave me a subtle sense of being understood that felt really nice.”
She continued. “When I got tired from designing, he’d bring me a refreshing drink, or he’d play some of my favorite relaxing music.
“If he noticed me squinting or rubbing my forehead from the bright light, he’d quietly adjust the curtains without saying a word. He’d quietly help out, never interfering or making a big deal.
“When I realized what was happening, it honestly freaked me out. I thought, if I spent more time with him, I might end up trusting him with everything, no questions asked.
“Even if you ever thought something was off about him, I’d probably just think you were overreacting.”
Hector sighed, a bit exasperated. “Your mom told me about it last night, so I was thinking of coming up with some excuse to get Geoffrey out of here this morning. Who knew…”
He chuckled, finally getting it. “So that was your plan all along, Victoria; keeping him here to teach him a lesson.”
Daisy laughed too. “Honestly, when it comes to the tough stuff, knives, guns, all that, your dad and I know you can handle yourself. But with these soft tactics, we were worried you might get too emotional and let your guard down.
“Just like back then, when we went to the village to pick you up and spoke up for you in front of Darell and Julia, you trusted us enough to accept us as your parents.”
Victoria smiled calmly. “Mom, relax. I don’t give my trust away easily. You guys have earned it.”
This time, Daisy and Hector finally felt relieved. After breakfast, Victoria headed over to Silverwood Villa and found Geoffrey, who was being kept under close watch in Angelica’s room.
Geoffrey was sitting in front of the vanity mirror, wincing as he gingerly poked at his swollen face, grumbling Victoria’s name through clenched teeth.
Victoria couldn’t catch exactly what he was saying, but she could tell he was cursing her out hard. When he heard the door open, Geoffrey quickly turned to look.
When he saw Victoria, he shot to his feet, looking obviously terrified. “Victoria…” Geoffrey whimpered.
