“Don’t mind them, sweetheart. Let’s keep going,” Justin said with a smug grin, pulling the woman into his arms and pressing his lips against her luscious mouth.

But just then, a heavy thud suddenly rang out.

Justin looked up in shock, only to see Nathan’s eight bodyguards launching a fierce, lightning–fast attack. They were outnumbered ten to one, but held their own without breaking a sweat.

In the blink of an eye, Justin’s bodyguards were knocked off their feet, sprawled across the floor, groaning in pain.

Justin’s face went pale, his body trembling uncontrollably, sweat breaking out on his forehead.

He hurriedly pushed the woman away, staring at Nathan in terror. “Mr. Clark, I…”

Nathan strode forward, his face grim, each step deliberate as he closed in on Justin.

When he reached Justin, he suddenly lashed out with a vicious kick, slamming his foot into Justin’s stomach.

“Ah!” Justin screamed, his body flipping over with the sofa and crashing to the floor.

The young woman nearby screamed in shock at the sudden turn of events. Like a startled rabbit, she scrambled to her feet, staring at Nathan with terror written all over her face.

Nathan shot her a cold glance, his eyes completely devoid of any sympathy.

Right after, two of his bodyguards stepped forward. One grabbed the woman, while the other hauled Justin up from the floor and shoved him in front of Nathan.

“Mr. Clark, I… I was forced! I have nothing to do with him, please, let me go…” the woman pleaded, her whole body shaking with fear.

Nathan didn’t even look at her. He grabbed a fruit knife from the table, bent down, and without hesitation, drove it deep into Justin’s upper thigh.

“Argh!” Justin let out a blood–curdling scream.

Right after, Nathan slammed his foot down on Justin’s face. “Getting bold, are you? Think the Clark family is finished?”

Justin’s face was a mask of terror. He should’ve known better. Nathan was ruthless, and now was the worst possible time to cross him.

Gritting his teeth against the searing pain in his thigh, Justin pleaded, “Mr. Clark… I swear, I never meant that! Whatever you want me to do, just say the word!”

Nathan yanked the fruit knife out of Justin’s thigh and, without hesitation, drove it straight into the back of his hand.

Justin let out another scream, tears and snot streaming down his face.

Then, Nathan looked down at him, his voice icy. “Call your daughter, Lexi.”

At those words, Justin finally saw a glimmer of hope. Gritting his teeth against the pain, he stammered, “Okay, okay… Mr. Clark, I’ll call her right now, I’ll call her right now!”

With his uninjured hand, Justin grabbed his phone, his fingers trembling as he dialed Lexi’s number.

The moment the call went through, she hung up right away.

Facing Nathan’s icy, predatory glare, Justin hurried to explain, “Mr. Clark, Lexi won’t answer my calls.”

Nathan didn’t even care. He slammed his foot down on Justin’s head again. “If you don’t want to die, then figure out a way to get her here! Did you hear me?”

“I… I get it, Mr. Clark,” Justin groaned, fighting through the pain as he sent Lexi a text: [I’m giving you all my shares.]

Not long after, Lexi finally called. Justin’s hands were shaking as he answered.

“You’ve finally come around? Are you really willing to sell me your shares in Gale Entertainment?” Lexi asked, her voice full of doubt.

To keep his nerves in check, Justin took a deep breath and tried to sound calm. “Yeah, I’ve thought it through. I can’t handle Victoria. If you say you can keep Gale Entertainment afloat, then it’s yours.”

“Alright, I’ll give you 15 million dollars,” Lexi said.

“15 million dollars? Gale Entertainment is worth 1.5 billion dollars!” Justin blurted out, almost forgetting his pain in shock.

“That was back then. Have you even looked at what you and Timothy did to the stock price? You’re not giving me a company, you’re handing me a pile of junk. Anyway, 15 million dollars is all I’ve got,” Lexi replied.

Locking eyes with Nathan, Justin suddenly remembered his mission. “Fine, just come over and I’ll transfer the shares to you.”

After hanging up, Justin swallowed hard and plastered a sycophantic smile on his face. “Mr. Clark, I… I did exactly what you told me to.”

Nathan lifted his foot, and his bodyguards tossed Justin aside like a rag. Nathan sat down on the sofa, which had just been set upright, waiting for Lexi to show up.

Thinking about what he planned for Lexi next, Nathan narrowed his eyes, his tone dripping with threat and intimidation. “Justin, go ahead. Pick up right where you left off with your new bitch.”

Justin was stunned. “What?”

The woman’s face went pale with fear, her whole body trembling.

Victoria walked in and found the two of them caught up in an animated conversation.

“Relax, Nathan’s not in any danger. The Clark family’s got powerful connections. Once I get out, you’ll get out too, and that’ll be the day Victoria’s finished!” Geoffrey said, his words slurred from his missing teeth.

Angelica looked visibly relieved. “That’s awesome! I was really worried about Mr. Clark at first…”

Victoria walked in with a smirk. “Well, well, you two seem to be getting along just fine, huh?”

Both of them turned to look at her, their faces twisted with a mix of anger and fear.

Victoria glanced at Geoffrey. “I already knocked out two of your teeth, and you still have the nerve to act tough?”

Geoffrey just glared, but he didn’t have the guts to talk back to her face.

Seeing Geoffrey like that, Angelica’s stomach dropped. She realized Victoria was right, Geoffrey was just talking big when he claimed Nathan was safe.

Then, Victoria made her way over to them.

Geoffrey, terrified from the beating, instinctively backed away.

Victoria said, a little exasperated, “No need to be so scared of me. I’m not here to beat you up today, I’m here to deal with her.”

She strode right up to Angelica, bent down, and hauled her up to her feet.

“Victoria, what are you doing?” Angelica tried to back away just like Geoffrey, but Mara’s people pinned her firmly in place, one on each side.
