Hearing Lexi’s words, Nathan yanked the silver needle from his hand, his eyes blazing red as he glared at her. “So you knew I was coming all along? You agreed to go home just to put on a show, then called Victoria to trap me?”

Nathan couldn’t believe what he was seeing. He felt like he’d just been stabbed in the back by the person he trusted most.

Lexi didn’t look the slightest bit guilty. “Obviously! Why else would Dad suddenly decide to sell me his shares in Gale Entertainment? He only did it to get me here for you, there was no other reason.”

Her voice dripped with disgust. “But I never expected you actually brought me here just to try and take advantage of me!”

Victoria let out a cold laugh. “Nathan, do you get it now? Your family line ends with you. Go spend the rest of your life in prison and beg your grandma for forgiveness while she’s still alive, don’t let her die with regrets.”

“Victoria, I’ll kill you!” Nathan roared, whipping a gun out of his coat, flicking off the safety, and aiming it straight at her.

But before he could pull the trigger, his whole body collapsed. The gun clattered to the floor.

Victoria sneered. “Did you really think that silver needle only affected your hand?”

Nathan lay sprawled on the floor, his eyes bloodshot and bulging, as if they might burst from their sockets. He tried desperately to push himself up, but his body was completely useless.

But no matter how hard he fought, he just couldn’t make it.

Victoria walked over and kicked Nathan hard a few times, then stomped her foot right on his head.

Looking down at his twisted face, she sneered. “Attempted rape, illegal possession of a firearm, trafficking women and forcing them into prostitution, using illegal aphrodisiacs, and murder… With all these charges, tell me, do you think you’ll get the death penalty?”

Nathan gritted his teeth. “Death penalty? Don’t kid yourself!”

“Oh, is that so?” Victoria pressed her heel down hard on his head, grinding it in. “You don’t seriously think Steven will bail you out, do you? He can barely save himself now.”

Victoria crouched down, slapping Nathan’s resentful face hard, a wicked grin spreading across her lips. “I can’t wait to see what kind of sentence you get. Honestly, I don’t even want you to get the death penalty.

“Letting you die that easily would be way too merciful. But if you end up in prison, there are so many ways I can make your life a living hell.”

With that, she stood up, pulled her foot off Nathan’s face, and kicked him aside. Then, she ordered Mara, “Take him and Angelica to the police, along with all the evidence we found about the illegal deals going on at Greenville Talent Academy.”

She hauled Nathan up by the collar, his face battered and swollen from the stomping, and dragged him out.

Meanwhile, Lexi smoothed her hair, letting out a sigh of relief. She looked at Victoria with gratitude. “Ms. Binder, thank you.”

Victoria replied, “No need to thank me. Once Nathan’s locked up, you’ll finally be free.”

Lexi looked a bit guilty. “But I still haven’t managed to get Justin’s shares.”

Honestly, when she came to see Justin this time, she was secretly hoping that maybe, just maybe, he really would sell her the shares.

But as expected, there was no such luck.

Victoria shrugged with a smile. “Don’t worry about it. You already sold your shares to me, right? As for Justin’s shares, he won’t be able to hang onto them for much longer. He’ll have to hand them over soon enough.”

The next day, the news of Nathan’s arrest blew up on X again.

The photos circulating online showed Nathan being taken away by the police, his face still twisted with malice. He didn’t look the least bit remorseful.
