After the car pulled away, the bodyguard vehicles that had been trailing behind finally caught up and parked.

Jackson glanced back at Felix and Xavier, both looking frustrated and defeated. He told the bodyguards, “Take them away.”

Donald wasn’t taken with them, so he looked at his son, eyes full of hope. “Jackson, you didn’t let them take

me too…”

Before he could finish, Jackson cut him off, “Gary will deal with you.”

Donald’s face froze at those words. ‘If Gary’s handling me, will I even survive?‘

Before Donald could get another word out, the bodyguards slapped a gag over his mouth and hauled him into the car.

Jackson didn’t bother with Donald’s struggles, hopped in the car, and went straight to Ollie and Gary.

After Victoria dropped Gerry off at Stephen’s place, Gerry barely waited for the door to close before he started apologizing.

“Stephen, I’m sorry for what I did to you, your mom, and your brother. If you don’t want to forgive me, I understand. But I already promised Gary I’d give you five percent of Thornton Group’s shares,” Gerry said, his voice thick with guilt.

Stephen stared at his grandpa, feeling a mess of emotions swirling inside.

After a long pause, he finally said, “Grandpa, I can’t forgive you. But I’ll take the shares.”

“As long as you take the shares, that’s enough. You don’t need to hold a grudge over my mistakes. Anyway, are you packed? I’ll take you back,” Gerry said.

“I’ve packed up, let’s go,” Stephen answered.

His luggage was simple, just a single suitcase packed with some clothes and daily necessities.

Everything else had been bought by Jackson, who’d already told him to just leave everything here as it was. If he ever wanted to stay here again, he could come back whenever he liked.

“Alright,” Gerry said. “Let’s go.”

After dropping Gerry and Stephen off at the old mansion, Victoria called Jackson. “Jack, your brother’s back

home now.”

“Alright, I might be a bit late. Stay at the mansion tonight and have dinner with me, okay?” Jackson said.

Victoria laughed. “Alright, I’ll be here waiting for you.”

After hanging up, Jackson turned to look at Donald, who was barely clinging to life after Gary’s torment.

There wasn’t a trace of mercy in his eyes as he said calmly, “Gary, I know you still hate him, but don’t go overboard. There’s plenty of time to make Donald suffer, no need to rush it all at once.”

Hearing that, Gary tossed the brick aside and sighed. [Fine, I’ll do as you say. As long as I don’t kill him, he’s mine to deal with as I please.]

Once someone nearby finished interpreting, Jackson nodded. “I’m heading back now. Stephen’s already back at the Thornton place. Do you want to come along?”

Jackson didn’t say anything else. He just left two bodyguards to keep watch, then left with Ollie.

They weren’t in Benwig City anymore, they were out in a small town in another province.

That was Gary’s request. He didn’t want to stick around Benwig City any longer.

He knew his life was beyond saving, and he didn’t want to hold Stephen back.

By the time Jackson got back to the old mansion, it was already seven in the evening.

Before he even stepped into the hall, he could hear Victoria’s cheerful laughter.

He paused for a moment, a soft smile spread across his face.

This was the moment he’d been waiting for. Coming home to Vickie’s laughter, it felt like all the stress and tiredness of the day just vanished.

Walking into the hall, Jackson saw Victoria chatting with Gerry. She looked up at him.

“Jack, you’re back,” she said.

Stephen was there too. He didn’t say much, just gave Jackson a slight nod when he saw him.

However, when he noticed Jackson walking in with a cane, Stephen’s eyes brightened a little.

Gerry asked in a heavy voice, “Did you take care of Felix and Xavier?”

Jackson nodded. “Yeah, I gave them a wake–up call and made sure they paid for their actions.

“As for Xavier and his family, I’ve ordered them to move to Afriska right after the family meeting. They can’t come back for twenty years.

“Xavier gets to keep his ten percent stake in the Afriska non–ferrous metal company so they’ll have to keep

Gerry didn’t say anything. Jackson’s arrangement was already pretty generous for them.

It was definitely better than having Xavier thrown in jail.

“And what about Felix’s family? How are you handling them?” Gerry asked.

Jackson replied, “I’m shipping them off to Afriska as well. I’ll set up a big new energy factory over there and put them in charge. It’s a brand new venture, but it’s a booming industry, so they’ll get ten percent of the shares too.”

Gerry didn’t object. “Fine, send them all to Afriska and let them fight it out among themselves.”

Then, he turned to Stephen. “Are you planning to join the Thornton Group and learn the ropes with your brother?”

Stephen shook his head right away. “Nope, that’s not for me. I’m sticking with the entertainment industry. And when my contract with my current company ends, I want to sign with Ms. Binder’s Brightstar Entertainment.”

Victoria shrugged. “No problem with me.”

Jackson lowered his gaze, thinking for a moment before saying, “If this is what you love, then keep doing it. I’ll always have your back.”

Stephen pressed his lips together and nodded. “Yeah.”

Now that everyone knew he was Jackson’s real brother, Stephen wouldn’t have to worry about being sidelined or frozen out in the entertainment industry anymore.

He could finally charge ahead without holding back.

After a while, Stephen hesitated, then asked softly, “Bro, where’s Gary?”

Hearing Stephen call him “bro” for the first time, Jackson paused, his eyes full of warmth as he smiled. “Gary said he didn’t want to disrupt your life, so he’s already left Benwig City.”

Stephen’s lips moved, but he couldn’t bring himself to say anything.

Finally, he lowered his gaze, a bitter smile appearing on his face. “Yeah, that’s for the best. Gary should live his own life now.”

Instead of just thinking about repaying his mother’s kindness, Gary had saved him, raised him, and even avenged his mother. He’d already done more than anyone could ask.

Stephen looked up at Jackson, his tone earnest. “Thanks. If you hadn’t stepped in when you did, Gary might’ve…”
