Chapter 63
Julia was taken aback. “Cook breakfast here?”
Victoria raised an eyebrow. “Yeah, I just want to eat at home.”

Julia held back her frustration. “Alright, honey, I’ll make breakfast for you right now. Just wait.”
As she spoke, she reached out to take Victoria’s hand.
Victoria dodged her and walked over to Daisy, grabbing her hand. “Mom, isn’t it great? We get to eat Julia’s homemade breakfast today.”
Julia was so furious that she nearly lost it when she heard that.
She quickly explained, “Victoria, I’m making breakfast just for you.”
Victoria shot back, “Do it or don’t. If you won’t make breakfast for my mom, then just leave. Don’t interrupt me and my mom while we’re eating.”
Julia’s expression soured, her displeasure obvious.
Curtis, who was always quick–tempered, couldn’t stand Victoria getting bolder. He completely ignored Julia’s instructions and snapped, “Victoria, don’t take this for granted! Mom cooking breakfast for you is a privilege!”
Julia quickly interjected, “Curtis, don’t talk to your sister like that. It’s a blessing for me to make breakfast for her.
Curtis groaned impatiently, “Mom…”
Julia squeezed Curtis’s wrist, still smiling sweetly. “Alright, Victoria, whatever you want. I’ll make breakfast for both you and your aunt!”
Daisy watched Julia bending over backwards to win Victoria back and could only sigh in disbelief.
If Julia had known things would turn out like this, she wouldn’t have acted that way in the first place.
Julia turned to Angelica and said, “Angelica, go home and bring me my favorite nutrient. I’m making them for
Victoria.”
Angelica nodded. “Okay.”
Victoria told Zoe to go take care of something else, then pressed Julia, “Hurry up, I’m starving.”
“Coming right up!” Julia replied with a smile, then quickly urged Angelica, “Hurry, Angelica.”
Angelica forced a smile as she glanced at Victoria, who was relaxing on the couch with Daisy, looking completely content. She quickly left the villa.
“I’ll come with you, Angelica…” Curtis said.

But Julia called out. “Curtis, stay here and help me!”
Curtis stopped, turned back, gave Victoria a look of annoyance as she sprawled out on the couch, then reluctantly followed Julia into the kitchen.
Once Julia dragged Curtis into the kitchen, Victoria let out a mocking laugh. “Let’s see how long they can keep up this act.”
Daisy gave a helpless smile. “Hungry? Julia probably won’t be done for a while. Why don’t we have some of Zoe’s food to tide us over?”
Victoria winked mischievously. “You’re right, Mom. Let’s fill up first. Who actually wants to eat what Julia makes anyway?”
Daisy couldn’t help but laugh and gently poked Victoria’s forehead. “Naughty girl.”
Angelica went back to Silverwood Villa, found Julia’s favorite nutrient, and gripped it so hard her knuckles turned white, barely holding back her frustration.
It took her a while to cool off before she headed back to Goldenwood Villa with the bird’s nest.
When she arrived, Julia and Curtis were busy in the kitchen, but Victoria and Daisy were already chilling and eating breakfast, clearly not planning to wait for Julia’s cooking.
Angelica caught on fast. Victoria was just playing them for fools.
But Julia actually thought she was still in the game.
‘Honestly, I hope Victoria keeps this attitude forever,‘ Angelica thought with a cold smirk.
She walked into the kitchen with the bird’s nest, didn’t mention that Victoria and Daisy were already having breakfast in the living room, and simply asked in a low voice, “Mom, do you need any help?”
Julia smiled brightly. “Sweetie, of course not. You’ve never had to lift a finger in the kitchen, so there’s no way I’d let you do any kitchen chores. Just go and wait in the living room.”
Angelica nodded. “Okay, Mom.”
She took a seat on the couch in silence, watching Victoria and Daisy enjoy their breakfast, laughing and chatting together. Her eyes burned with growing resentment as she watched them.
If it weren’t for Victoria, she could’ve spent every morning relaxed and cheerful, sharing breakfast with her loved ones.
Her father Darell cherished her, her mother Julia adored her, and her two brothers showered her with
affection.
But now, just a week after Victoria returned to the Binder family, everything had turned upside down.

Half an hour passed.
“Victoria, come try the oatmeal I made for you,” Julia called, as she and Curtis walked out of the kitchen, each holding a steaming bowl.
Victoria and Daisy had just finished Zoe’s breakfast. Victoria rubbed her stomach, shot a casual glance at the oatmeal in Curtis’s hand, and said, “Just leave it there. I’m too full right now.”
Angelica whispered, “Mom, Victoria and Daisy already ate.”
Curtis saw how satisfied Victoria looked, and his temper flared. He slammed the bowl of oatmeal down on the coffee table and snapped, “Victoria! Mom and I went through all that trouble to make this for you, and you just eat without even waiting? Seriously, what are we to you?”
Victoria rolled her eyes, totally unfazed. “Curtis, I never begged you to make it. Why are you acting all self- righteous, blaming me? What, you think whipping up a bowl of oatmeal means I should worship you and your mom or something?”
Curtis gritted his teeth. “Why do you always have to be so mean?”
Victoria shot him a look. “I don’t talk like this to my real parents. Maybe you should ask yourself if you’re the problem here.”
Curtis knew exactly who Victoria meant by “my parents“. She meant Daisy and Darell.
“You…” Curtis started.
“It’s alright, Curtis. Your sister was just too hungry to wait. Next time, we’ll make it ahead and bring it over so you won’t have to wait,” Julia said, drying her hands after setting down the oatmeal.
She pushed Curtis, who was still annoyed, forward. “Victoria, your dad made your brother write an apology letter last night on his knees, all so he could apologize to you in person.”
As she spoke, Julia pulled out a thick stack of paper from her pocket and handed it to Victoria with a warm smile. “Victoria, look, this is the apology letter Curtis wrote.
“He truly understands he messed up. Can we just move past the whole evening gown thing now? What do you think?”
“A ten–thousand–word apology letter?” Victoria grabbed the stack of papers from Julia, didn’t even glance at them, and tossed them straight into the trash can by her feet.
She said, “So this is what you call an apology? Julia, did you ever stop to think what would’ve happened to me last night at the welcome party if I hadn’t proved my evening gown was authentic?

“Grandpa would’ve probably disowned me, the whole Benwig City elite would have mocked me, and my days in the Binder family would’ve been miserable.”
She let out a cold laugh. “And now Curtis thinks just writing a letter is enough for me to forgive him? Do you really think so much of yourselves, or do you just think so little of me?
“And you say Curtis wrote it on his knees. Who knows if that’s even true? Why not have him write it again right here in front of me?”
