Hearing Victoria’s words, Simon straightened up, his gaze turning icy. “Victoria, threats won’t work on me. Even if I don’t spend money to take down the trending topic or intervene, Curtis can still handle it on his

own!”

Victoria laughed again.

“Oh, you’ve got some backbone, huh? I was messing with you. I called because I need you to do something for me,” she said.

“What is it?” Simon asked.

“I’m planning to set up a garden in the yard. If you have some free time in the next couple of days, help me prep the soil, till it, and get it ready for planting. Also, pick up some fertilizer and whatever else I might need,” Victoria said.

“What?” Simon’s eyes shot wide open, nearly grinding his teeth to dust. “Victoria, don’t push it! I’m the Binder family’s heir, and you want me to work the fields for you?”

He’d been given an elite education all his life, and now he was the CEO of a major company!

And now Victoria actually expected him to plow the yard!

‘Is she seriously treating me like some farm animal?‘ Simon thought, seething.

“Oh, so farm work is even worse than death for you, huh?” Victoria teased, her voice dripping with sarcasm.

Thinking about the pain from his last poisoning, Simon forced himself to keep his cool. “I’m not exactly skilled at this stuff. Why make me do it? It’ll probably take twice the effort for half the results.”

“As long as it gets done, that’s all I care about. You’re the one who has to work harder, not me. Whenever you finish plowing the yard, that’s when I’ll give you the antidote again,” Victoria replied, totally unfazed.

She was obviously toying with him.

‘Seriously?‘ Simon thought, utterly lost for words.

“So, are you gonna do it or not? If you refuse, don’t expect the antidote before your next flare–up,” Victoria said, sounding annoyingly nonchalant.

After popping the antidote, Simon could only keep the poison from acting up for a week.

“Fine, I’ll do it,” Simon muttered, swallowing his pride.

“That’s my obedient Simon. Don’t forget to buy the tools today. Work starts tomorrow,” Victoria chimed, her voice dripping with playful sarcasm.

After wrapping up her demands, Victoria laughed lightly and hung up the phone.

‘She’s really gone overboard!‘ Simon raged, hurling his phone to the floor so hard the screen shattered.

After a good while, once he’d cooled off, he buzzed his secretary, Rachel, to come in.

“What can I do for you, Mr. Binder?” Rachel asked, noticing Simon’s stormy expression and treading carefully.

Simon said coldly, “Go buy some tools for gardening the land today.”

Rachel blinked in surprise. “Wait, what?”

“Why are you just standing there? Go handle it!” Simon snapped, his voice even colder.

“Yes, Mr. Binder,” Rachel replied, not daring to ask any more questions. He hurried out of the office, grumbling to himself, ‘Mr. Binder’s temper is getting more unpredictable by the day. He’s really hard to deal

with now!‘

At the biggest auction house in Benwig, Victoria was led in by the receptionist.

Seeing her, Fabien, the owner, practically beamed with reverence and excitement. “Victoria, you’re finally here! What kind of medicines have you brought for us today?”

Victoria handed the box she’d brought to the receptionist.

“No new medicine this time. Just the ones that have been in high demand lately–things for common ailments among seniors and older adults,” she replied.

Fabien eagerly took the box and opened it. Inside were three top–quality medicines.

“Excellent! I’ll get the next auction set up right away. As usual, we’ll charge you a five percent commission,” he said, practically glowing with excitement.

“Sounds good,” Victoria replied, not even blinking. She’d worked with Fabien for so long that she trusted him completely. “Just transfer the money to the account I gave you, like always.”

“Alright…” Fabien closed the box, then suddenly remembered something. “Who would’ve thought you’re actually the Binder family’s heiress?”

Victoria smiled. “Mr. Rich, you always catch wind of things so fast.”

“Oh, come on, everyone in Benwig’s high society knows about it now,” Fabien said, then brought up Simon’s call. “Just a few days ago, your family’s heir rang me up, asking if I knew any legendary healers who specialize in detoxifying poisons. I told him I did, and that healer was you, of course.”

Victoria arched her brow, a playful glint in her eyes. “Oh?”

‘Well, isn’t that funny,‘ Victoria thought. ‘Simon’s been scrambling to get rid of ine, but after all that, he ended up right back at my door.

‘Can’t wait to see his face when he finds out the truth. He’s gonna be crushed, she thought to herself.

“I told him I’d let him know the moment you showed up at my auction house,” Fabien said, watching her expression carefully. “But I’ve also heard there’s some bad blood between you and Simon, so…”

Victoria understood what he was getting at. Whether Simon got notified or not depended entirely on her mood.

“Mr. Rich, why do you think I poisoned him?” Victoria asked with a sly smile.

Fabien caught on right away and replied respectfully, “Alright, then. I won’t tell Simon who you really are.”

After Victoria left, Fabien shook his head.

‘What a pity for Curtis’s family. If they’d just claimed Victoria as their own daughter and sister, with her talent for making money, they could’ve locked down the Binder fortune and inheritance, maybe even climbed straight to the top in Benwig. But they were too blind to see her value, let Simon’s parents take her in, and ended up completely offending her.

‘Now they’re in deep trouble!‘ Fabien thought.

‘Talk about losing both the prize and the game!‘ he sighed.

Not long after Victoria left, Simon’s call came through.

Fabien snickered to himself. ‘Well, isn’t that a coincidence?‘

He picked up the phone.

“Mr. Rich, any news on that poison expert I asked you about last time?” Simon’s voice was thick with exhaustion and anxiety.

Fabien glanced at the box of medicines on his desk, recalling what Victoria had told him, and replied with practiced politeness, “Sorry, Simon, no word yet on that doctor you asked about.”

‘Man, Simon has no clue the doctor he’s been hunting for is actually right in front of him–his own sister, Victoria!‘ Fabien thought, amused.

Simon paused for a moment before saying, “Alright. Mr. Rich, please keep looking out for me, If that poison doctor shows up and I get to meet them, you won’t miss out on your share of the reward.”

“Absolutely, absolutely!” Fabien replied, sounding eager.

After Simon hung up, Fabien shook his head again, sighing to himself.

‘Man, his life is totally in Victoria’s hands now, and he doesn’t even realize it. Poor guy!‘ Fabien thought.

After hanging up with Fabien from Benwig’s biggest auction house, Simon was so pissed off he nearly hurled his backup phone across the room. Only sheer willpower kept him from smashing it to pieces.

‘Breaking phones won’t fix anything, Simon grumbled to himself. ‘I need to chill. Even if that doctor Fabien
