“Dad…” Julia protested.

But before she could say more, Darell grabbed her arm, his expression grim as he shook his head. “That’s enough, Julia. Let’s

go,”

Then he turned to Calvin. “Calvin, Julia and I are heading back now.”

“Mm.” Calvin replied.

Once they were out of earshot, Calvin turned to Victoria and shook his head with a sigh. “Feel better now?”

Victoria shrugged. “That’s hardly satisfying. They came here looking for trouble, and I was already being polite just kicking them out.”

Calvin let out a sigh. “You really are… too bold. I can’t tell if that’s a good thing or a bad thing.”

Victoria replied indifferently, “If you’ve got the skills, showing your edge is always a good thing.”

Calvin was taken aback by her words.

He thought to himself, ‘That’s exactly it. My two sons and grandsons are missing that kind of guts and drive.

‘Maybe Victoria really can make the Binder family stronger in the future, strong enough to go toe–to–toe with powerhouse families like the Thorntons.’

With that in mind, Calvin nodded thoughtfully. “If you’ve really got what it takes, then stay sharp. The Binder family needs someone like you to get bigger and stronger.”

Victoria smiled. “Don’t worry, Grandpa. I won’t let you down.”

After a brief pause, a glint flashed in Victoria’s eyes as she seized the moment to make her request.

She said, “Grandpa, since you’re here, I’ve got something I want to talk to you about. Now that I’ve been back for a while, I’ve got a pretty good sense of how things are going with the Binder family.

Darell’s pharmaceutical company keeps declining every year, just coasting on old achievements. And Simon’s entertainment company only made a splash in its first year.

“The past couple of years, it’s been stagnant, caught between established entertainment giants and rising influencer companies. It’s barely hanging on.”

“So, what’s your plan?” Calvin asked, his expression serious as he waited for her to continue.

Victoria didn’t hesitate. “Grandpa, I want you to let me take over Brightstar Entertainment next month. I’ll double its market value by next year.”

Calvin thought for a moment, then decided to take a chance on his granddaughter. “Alright, I’ll agree. If Simon doesn’t show any results this month, next month he’ll have to temporarily hand over the entertainment company to you.”

After seeing Calvin off, Daisy let out a sigh of relief. After asking Zoe to go rest and recover, she said nervously. “I thought for sure your grandpa would punish you after all the drama today.

“But not only did he let you off the hook, he actually agreed to give you control of Brightstar Entertainment next month.”

Victoria explained, “Mom, Grandpa’s always valued strength and the Binder family’s future above all else. I proved myself at the welcome party last night, so there’s no way he’d make things hard for me or let Darell’s family mess with me.

“Unless Darell’s family can pull off some impressive results at the company and really impress Grandpa, he’ll back me up for

sure.”

But Simon’s last hope rested on getting the rights to adapt Viara’s final novel and turning it into a smash hit.

But the truth was, she was Viara herself.

So Sumon’s hope was never going to happen.

As for Darell’s pharmaceutical company, it still hadn’t managed to innovate or reform. If they kept sticking to the old ways, they’d end up burning through everything they had.

But the medicinal herbs she’d cultivated were incredibly valuable, and she had the Mullinran Village research team backing her up.

Once she made a high–profile entrance into the Binder family’s pharmaceutical company, a spectacular turnaround would be just a matter of time.

After hearing Victoria’s analysis, Daisy sighed, “Wow, I really didn’t expect that. In the end, Victoria, you’re the one making yourself proud.”

Victoria quickly chimed in, “Mom, you looked so badass standing up for me just now!”

Daisy felt a bit embarrassed at that. She never realized she could be so tough when she started telling people off.

“Just as long as you don’t think I was too mean,” Daisy said.

“You were only tough on them, not on me. And Mom, that wasn’t mean at all. It was seriously cool,” Victoria replied.

“You’re making me blush,” Daisy said.

“Mom, let me check out how your beauty treatment worked today,” Victoria said, studying Daisy’s face carefully.

Honestly, Daisy was stunning.

Her complexion was as flawless as any woman in her early thirties, and her whole vibe was vibrant–no trace of time’s wear

and tear.

It was obvious that Hector had been spoiling her all these years.

Daisy touched her cheek, a little nervous but hopeful as Victoria looked her over. “So? Did those two wrinkles show up or

not?”

Seeing her anxious face, Victoria had to bite back a grin and nodded reassuringly. “Nope, not a trace. You still look as young as ever, Mom.”

Daisy broke into a satisfied smile. “You always know how to make me feel good!”

Back at Silverwood Villa, Julia couldn’t help but speak up as she looked at Darell. “Darell, how can you just let that brat Victoria get away with treating you like that?”

A cold glint flashed in Darell’s eyes. “Can’t you see how Dad feels about her? Especially after last night’s welcome party. Eeven Gerry was impressed with her.

“If we try to get Dad to punish his precious granddaughter now, it’ll only make him even more upset with us and make him side with Hector and Daisy even more.”

Julia’s face twisted with resentment. “So we’re just supposed to sit back and let her do whatever she wants? And are we really just going to let all the humiliation we suffered today go unpunished?”

Darell’s expression darkened. “We’ll have to figure out how to deal with her ourselves. From now on, let’s try not to bother Dad with this kind of thing.”

“If I want Dad to kick Victoria out of the Binder family, I’ll need something way more explosive, Darell thought to himself.

As for what kind of bombshell he could drop, Darell still had to come up with something.

Julia could only nod reluctantly and mutter, “Fine.”

After inishing up at the company, Hector headed home. He saw a missed call from Zoe and quickly called her back. When he learned what had happened to Victoria while he was away, he rushed back to the Binder house in a panic.

“Daisy, how’s Victoria? Is she hurt?” Hector asked, his voice full of worry.

As soon as he walked in, still catching his breath, Hector went straight to the couch where Victoria and Daisy were sitting together, looking at posts about Curtis online. He crouched down in front of Victoria, concern written all over his face.

Victoria was taken aback for a moment, then shook her head. “I’m fine, Dad.”

Hector finally let out a sigh of relief. “Thank goodness… If anything had happened to you, I swear I wouldn’t let Darell’s family off the hook.”

Daisy, still shaken, added, “Yeah, I can’t believe how shameless Darell and Julia are. They waited until both of us were out of the house to go after Victoria. If she hadn’t been so capable, who knows what they might have done to her!”

Hector frowned, stood up, and started pacing back and forth by the coffee table. “No, this won’t do. Just having bodyguards isn’t enough to keep Victoria safe. I need to come up with something else to protect her.”
