Lincoln didn’t bother arguing. He just led Lydia and Juna inside. No matter what, they needed to check on Grandpa’s health. If they didn’t get him treated soon, who knew what kind of chaos he’d stir up next.
Before they even made it to the main hall, an old but surprisingly powerful voice carried out to them. “Tracy has looked after me for more than ten years. So what if I want to marry her and make her your stepmother? None of you agree? Is this how you treat me? Am I really supposed to just die here alone?”
Lincoln could only rub his forehead. His grandpa really had a knack for making things complicated. Getting married now? Seriously?
As Lincoln walked in with Lydia and Juna, his parents Geovan and Christine looked like they wished they could disappear.
“Lincoln, these must be Miss Norwood and Miss Davis, right?” Christine stood up and hurried over.
Her son had told her yesterday he’d bring the real Norwood daughter to see his grandfather. But this morning, they’d found Mr. Andy Lowe and Tracy… in the same bed. In all the chaos, she’d practically forgotten about the visit. And now, here they were, caught up in this mess.
“I’m so sorry, Miss Norwood, Miss Davis. This must be awkward for you,” Christine said, struggling to hide her embarrassment. She could practically feel the floor open up beneath her.
Lincoln just waved it off. “Mom, they already heard everything outside. Grandpa’s getting worse. Let’s just have Miss Norwood check on him.”
Christine hesitated for a moment. “With his mood right now, I doubt he’ll agree.”
Andy was still making a scene about marrying Tracy. After all, Tracy had been their housekeeper for decades. Now she was about to become their stepmother? Who could accept that?

Olha a história bem boa só algumas coisas são chatas ( nesse tipo de história sempre troca as filhas pela a da empregada ou então pegam uma menina pra criar) pelo menos eles tratam a filha bem só enche o saco que até agora a Lucinda tá lá enchendo ! Fora isso tá bom Connor é um fofo a família dela a ama muito só Lucinda pra abaixar o nível do livro já era pra ter resolvido isso e fazer ela pagar mais tudo bem li um livro chinês que era parecido só algumas coisas diferentes ,ais mesma coisa tipo ela salvou o Connor no início lá ela salvava o avô dele , no chinês ela não tinha um irmão mais novo com os pais adotivos , a mãe dela tinha 2 irmãos e todos os avós estavam vivos mais história quase igual e tem coisas tipo o triângulo que lá TB tinha até a Lucinda que no chines TB ficou o livro todo aprontando só no final a família descobria e se livrava dela aí ela ia morar com o cara que ela usa pra disfarçar que não gosta do Connor aí depois ainda quase matava a irmã dele e a mãe dele que ele via como ela era...
