Ready to Rule: The Real Heiress Strikes Back novel Chapter 391

“Hah, Greenward Power? Please. That company’s basically a joke. If Norwood Enterprises wasn’t propping them up, who would even know their name?”

Jenny could hardly believe her ears. She’d flown halfway around the world and still couldn’t escape gossip about her company.

“You’re the real joke!” Jenny snapped, eyes blazing. This was just like the competitions back home, where everyone called Greenward Power trash. But what happened? Out of the top ten who qualified for internationals, Greenward Power landed four spots.

Sierra and Sharee were deep in conversation when Jenny’s sharp retort made them turn around in surprise.

Sierra froze for a second. Wasn’t that Ms. Norwood, the CEO of Greenward Power? The same Ms. Norwood who’d taken down the Stein and Reeves families? And next to her was Jenny. Sierra’s expression got complicated.

“Well, look who it is. Jenny, the one who got third place back home. You really think making the top ten means you’re not a joke anymore?” Sharee couldn’t help herself. She’d placed tenth in the same competition, but her tone was pure mockery.

“Sharee, when you say joke, are you talking about yourself?” Jenny shot back, not missing a beat.

Sharee’s cheeks flushed. “You… Jenny, what are you even bragging about? You only got third. Big deal.”

“If it’s so easy, why don’t you try for third next time?” Jenny knew exactly how to hit where it hurt.

“Talking tough doesn’t mean anything. Let’s see how you do at the international level. Bet you can’t even get close to third!” Sharee huffed.

Jenny frowned, confused. “Wait, you’re both competing?”

Sharee puffed up, glaring at Jenny. “That’s right. Sierra’s a genius from Muse Design Academy. She competed internationally two years ago and even won an award. She didn’t have to fight through all the qualifiers this time, she got a direct spot. Jealous?”

Lydia already knew about Sierra’s award. She’d placed third at the international level.

Jenny glanced at Sierra in surprise. Sierra straightened up, proud but trying to play it cool. “Alright, Sharee, let’s not show off. There’s always someone out there better than you.”

Sharee scoffed. “No need to be humble in front of them. Someone’s gotta bring them back to reality. If they keep thinking a third place at home means they’re unstoppable, that’s just embarrassing.”
