Rebirth of the Broken Luna A Second Chance at Luna's Heart novel Chapter 126

Chapter 126

“And if I don’t?”

“Then you’ll face the consequences when he finds out on his own,” Andy said. “And believe me, Sophia, he will find out. The truth

always comes to light eventually.”

The line went dead, leaving me staring at my phone in disbelief. Andy had abandoned me. Six years of working together and she was

cutting me off just like that.

But she was wrong about one thing. I wasn’t going to run away now, neither was I going to confess the truth to Xenois. I have gone too far for this and I will have to push on no matter what. There was another way to solve this problem, a permanent solution that would

clear the path for my future with Xenois.

I looked toward the stairs, where I could hear Riley playing in his room. He was singing softly to himself, probably making up

adventures for his toy cars. Such a sweet, innocent child.

Such an inconvenient obstacle.

Andy was right about one thing – as long as Riley remained alive, existed on this earth, there would always be questions about how

Riley is actually my son. Xenois was already having doubts and my teary acts weren’t cutting it anymore.

There would always be the risk of discovery. But if Riley were gone, if there was an accident that looked completely natural, then all

the evidence would disappear with him.

Xenois would grieve, of course. That was his biological son and despite now knowing that, before Riley’s school accident, that forced everything to the light, he’d already grown attached to the boy. But grieving will come to an end one day, and with the right support system by his side, the right comfort that he needs, he’d eventually move on. And I would be there, helping him heal, showing him that

we could build a new life together.

We could have our own children then. Real biological children that would be ours together, with no magical intervene needed to

prove it.

I would become the Luna of Silver Creek, and all of this pain and struggle would finally be worth it.

I thought about the pool in the backyard. Riley loved to swim, but he wasn’t supposed to go in alone. Accidents happen all the time. A moment of inattention, just him sleeping on the wet tiles, a child who panicked underwater…

Or maybe the stairs. They were hardwood and had been polished very well till it shone. A five-year-old could easily lose his footing, especially if he was running or playing. A fall from the top step could be fatal, or at least cause enough damage to solve my problem.

I walked slowly toward the stairs, listening to Riley’s singing from the guest room that he had been given. Thorne had refused to let Riley stay in Ollie’s room because that wasn’t his right despite Thorne knowing the truth.

Chapter 126

No matter what he always saw us as guests that had a day that they would leave and not someone who was here to stay.

It pissed me off but Riley didn’t care about it. Hell I doubt someone told Rifey that Xenois was his father yet and Ollie his half

brother.

All he knew was that he was going to be Ollie’s replacement because we were the real family Xenols needed.. He trusted me completely. He would never suspect that the woman he called mommy was planning his death.

And for that, I needed to make another call, this time to someone who goes by the name Bullet. He was definitely the right person for

this job.
