Sebastian stood. His voice wasn’t loud, but it carried power across the entire training ground. “The match is concluded. Elliot is the winner. As agreed, Braxton leaves IBI, and Elliot enters the main unit!”

There was no room for debate.

The audience erupted in even louder applause and cheers. Many reserve members watched with envy and awe.

Even some of the main members dropped their earlier disdain and looked at Elliot with genuine respect.

Braxton lay sprawled on the ring, hearing the final judgment. The last color drained from his face.

Clutching his chest tremblingly, he tried to stand. His lips moved, like he wanted to speak, but blood suddenly burst from his mouth.

A red spray filled the air.

He staggered, then collapsed hard onto the ground.

His eyes stayed wide open, staring blankly. He instantly became lifeless.

A medical officer rushed in, thinking it was severe internal damage. When he checked for breath, he jolted back in shock, fear flooding his face as he stammered out.

“Mr. Menzie! Mrs. Menzie! He… he’s not breathing!”

The training ground exploded.

“He’s dead? Elliot killed Braxton?!”

“No way! Those blows weren’t fatal!”

Eden turned pale and grabbed Elliot’s arm. “Elliot…”

Elliot’s expression shifted as well. He had controlled his strength. His attack couldn’t possibly have killed Braxton.

On the platform, Sebastian’s gaze went cold, the air around him dropping.

Troy and Zeph wiped their smiles away, faces going hard.

Noelle placed her cup down and stood. Her eyes sharpened.

She stayed calm and walked down from the platform. The crowd parted without a sound.

Sebastian followed, with Troy, Zeph, and the senior officials right behind him.

At the ring, Noelle didn’t bother with a ladder. She planted one hand on the edge and flipped up smoothly.

Ignoring the stunned looks, she bent and pressed two fingers to Braxton’s carotid, checking his pupils and skin color.

“He’s dead,” Noelle said evenly, her voice carrying. “But not from Elliot’s blows. He was poisoned.”

“Poisoned?!” Garrick blurted. “How is that possible? Who would dare poison someone inside IBI?!”

“I already warned that Rachel’s medicine had issues. I gave you a revised formula and told you to distribute it. Did everyone take the correct dose?”

Garrick’s face shifted. “Following your orders, all testers took the new formula. Mrs. Menzie, are you saying Braxton died because of Rachel’s medicine?”

Noelle had warned that Rachel’s formula would cause problems and gave them a replacement. Everyone was supposed to have

taken the new one.

“Impossible,” Noelle said right away. “If he had used my formula, he wouldn’t have died.”

“Is there any of the medicine left? Bring it here now.” Sebastian’s voice was cold.

“There is! I’ll grab it!”

The Medical Research Department staff took off running.

They’d made a big batch, so plenty was still there. Not long after, they rushed back with it.

Noelle took a whiff, and her expression darkened.

“This isn’t my formula.”

The staff went pale. “I–it was ordered by Dr. Bourn. We had no idea!”

That made everything clear–Rachel had switched the medicine!

The senior officials were furious. She’d crossed a line.
