Eleanor put her hands on her hips. “That’s it? That’s your evidence? The instructors‘ dorms aren’t totally off–limits. What if Noelle was just passing by?”

Holly thought she had Noelle cornered and pushed harder, looking smug. Then a cold, sharp voice cut in and shut everyone up, “She came to see me every night.”

Everyone turned. Sebastian had stepped forward at some point and was now standing beside Noelle. He stood tall and calm, his face unreadable. His eyes were like frozen daggers aimed straight at Holly.

Holly froze. The pride she felt a second ago vanished, replaced by fear.

Sebastian didn’t raise his voice, but every word was clear and firm.

‘You keep talking about ‘selling herself‘ and ‘dirty deals‘…” He paused and swept his gaze over the crowd, then looked back at Holly’s pale face. His tone was slow and dangerous. “Are you talking about my legally married wife coming to her husband’s dorm at night?”
