Chapter 248 Noey, Come With Me
She cried with such genuine emotion that it seemed as if she had done everything alone.
In the crowd, Viola quietly let out a breath of relief as a faint smugness tugged at her lips.

Mabel’s family was under her control. The girl had no choice but to take the blame for her. And since Mabel was the one who had actually put the needles in Noelle’s shoes, no matter how deeply they investigated, it would never lead back to Viola.
Sebastian’s gaze turned icy. “Since you have admitted it, we will handle this according to the rules. Your military drill results are canceled, and you will receive a major demerit. The school and the student affairs office will deal with you next.”
His voice was cold and carried an authority that could not be questioned.
Mabel collapsed to the ground in fear.
Chris spoke up sternly as well. “Kingstowne University will never tolerate such malicious behavior. We will deal with this seriously to uphold the school’s standards.”
And so, the closing ceremony ended in a heavy atmosphere.
The freshmen slowly boarded the buses back to campus.
After dealing with the remaining arrangements, Sebastian immediately went to Noelle, who was about to get on the bus with her roommates.
He looked at her and said in a firm voice, “Noey, come with me.”
Eleanor grinned and winked. “Go on, Noelle. We’ll help you bring your luggage back to the dorm.”
Quinna also smiled and nodded.
Noelle did not argue and followed Sebastian to his car.
Inside the car, Sebastian took out a first–aid kit he had already prepared.
He frowned deeply as he carefully lifted her ankle. “Don’t move. Let me check.”
He gently unwrapped the bandage. When he saw the needle marks on the sole of her foot, already scabbed but still ugly, his eyes darkened at once.
Seeing the tense look on his face, Noelle spoke lightly with a smile. “I told you. It is just a small injury.”
Before she could finish, she felt the hand holding her ankle tighten slightly.
Sebastian looked up. His deep eyes were filled with suppressed anger and fear. “A small injury?” His voice was low and rough. “If you had not noticed it and stepped on it fully, could you still walk now?”
He said no more. Carefully, he took out disinfectant and ointment and treated her wound as if it were

something fragile and precious.
The car grew quiet. Only their soft breathing could be heard.

Even after he finished, Sebastian did not let go of her foot. He gently massaged the uninjured skin around her ankle, as if cherishing something he had almost lost.
He did not take Noelle back to the dorm; he brought her to his villa instead. “Stay here for the next few days. The stairs in the dorm will make it hard for your injury to heal. I’ve already informed your counselor.”
He felt more at ease with Gus and the others around.
Noelle found it both funny and touching. She did not object. Staying at home to recover did not sound bad.
For the next few days, Noelle stayed at the villa. Gus and the housekeeper took turns making all kinds of food for her.
She gained a little weight from all the meals.
Lucas came to visit as well.
He came in casually and set a fruit basket on the coffee table. His eyes held a teasing glint, though there was concern beneath it. “Noey, what happened to your leg? Have your skills gotten rusty?”
Noelle lay lazily on the couch and rolled her eyes at him. “Can’t I mess up sometimes?”
“Of course, you can.” Lucas sat across from her and peeled an orange. “But you still have enough energy to talk back, so it’s not that bad.”
He then handed her the peeled orange. “Here you go.”
Noelle raised an eyebrow and took it.
Serena arrived with Kevin not long after.
Since Noelle was at Kingstowne, it was easy for Serena to be here.
“What’s wrong with Kingstowne University? They call it a prestigious school, but the students‘ character is terrible. That Mabel girl had some nerve.”
Serena looked displeased.
Noelle smiled slightly.
She knew it wasn’t Mabel.
That girl was too timid to come up with something like this on her own. Someone else had likely been instructing her behind the scenes.
